  2. What a fantastic day today - a credit to the entire SAU SA team that pulled together to make this happen. In my opinion, this was one of the best ran dyno days I have been involved in, and I've been doing them for 10 years! I agree with Pete, the trophies are awesome - I am very impressed. A big thanks to John and the crew from Southern Hitech Dyno - they were professional and efficient in keeping the day rolling on with a couple of well earned breaks to clear the lungs of carbon monoxide..... A big thanks to all involved in organising the event! Vu - loving the flame action
  3. I think I'm here for this - I'll be there!!!
  4. Got a racespec one on the GTR - it is good quality, fits nicely and works well. And it was only $70 odd if I remember correctly. Far cheaper than the alternatives, and it has no free play or anything like that. I actually expected it to be a lot worse than it is!
  5. oh yeah - my media representatives did the team proud :-)
  6. That is true - if you watch me fighting the wheel through the kink on the back straight it gives you some idea......maybe I should have speed it up by 20% Hi Chad, I had that camera mounted on a suction cup off the side quarter window. Manfrotto make them, try photographic wholesalers on Hutt St. nb -the camera was set in the wrong mode when we hastily set it up between session, hence the poor quality footage. Next time I will use a full HD camera.....
  7. here is another picture to cheer you up then.
  8. Oh look at you and your computer skills.....hehehe thanks Steve

  16. Indeed it was a great day today - good to see some familiar faces again and meet some new people as well. I ended up running a 1:15:.03 weaving in and out of traffic - sure was fun! The car still has more left in it - I need to set it up properly from now and I look forward to going even quicker. For those of you who are thinking about titanium exhausts, mine was $800....... there are bargains to be had!
  17. Many variables on oil temp mate - power output, rev range you are using (ie experience on track) sump size, oil pump, turbos (water vs oil cooled) etc. Usually a stockish GTR (with standard initial mods of exhaust, boost, intake, tune up to around 240rwkw) will be up there over 100 degrees after 8 laps or so, ambient temperature dependant. For tomorrow, with a session of a couple of sprints and a cool down in between (which will also help your tyres, and brakes cool down) you'd be pretty good. Main thing is to let it cool once it is hot for a lap or two then you can get back on it. Or you could fit an oil cooler in record time.........
  18. Agreed Lance - looking forward to literally blowing the cobwebs out of the car hehehe!!! Anyone else in?
  19. Yep - had a thread up about this but it mysteriously dissapeared....... I'll be there
