  13. The Bring It On! Youth Festival is on again this year. The event will be held on Sunday 13th April 2003 at the Fairfield Showground from 1pm to 7pm. We expect the event to attract over 2000 people. The festival is a Drug and Alcohol Free event, which runs as part of the National Youth Week. This event is an annual event that gives the opportunity to the young people of the Local Government Area to showcase their talents to the community and be involved in the diverse workshops offered. The day is filled with entertainment, amusements, food, information stalls, workshops and competitions and the best thing about it is that it is all for FREE. The main aim of this festival is to engage the local young people to enjoy a fulfilling day and to participate in the activities offered. I have been asked to assist in the co-ordination of this Festival. There will be a show and shine exhibition and there is room for 20 modified cars which I have been asked to select. The winner of the show and shine will receive a trophy, SONY CD player and have a photo shoot in the newspaper. All contestants will receive a Voucher for Autobahn and a mystery prize which is yet to be decided. There is no cost to participate in the show and shine. - participants must be between the ages of 17 and 30 - participants will need to arive at 11am and will not be able to leave until 6pm on that day. - As you enter the fairfield showgorund, the cars will be positioned alongside the fence so that it will capture everyones attention. Security and police will be passively supervising the exhibition - (I AM IN SERIOUS DISCUSSIONS WITH THE POLICE TO ENSURE NO HARRASMENT NOR FINES/DEFECTS TO THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE EXHIBITION) - Public will vote for the best car of the day. - participants will need to attend a registration night a week before the event. It will probably be at Prairiewood Community Centre however it is not confirmed as I need to know how many will vehicles I can get. - on the registration night, one Police Officer from PCYC at Cabramatta will give out information in relation to cars that are done up and answer any questions anyone has. (A COOL AND DECENT FEMALE OFFICER!!) The winner will be announced before Selwyn makes his appearance on stage and a photo will be published in the local paper also. Please private message me or email me on [email protected] if you would like to participate in the show and shine with your vehicle. I will be making a choice for the top 20 cars that would like to participate. Other online communities will also be offered an opportunity to participate as soon as I get a chance to post the details on those boards. I already ha ve a few cars, I still have a few places open, please step up and make yourself known to me
