  1. Purely my opinion Marko but since you're asking I'm sure you'd want honest responses.

If it was a GTR....keep it!

The fact that it's a r33 gts (not even a 32 or 34), it is unfortunately the least sought after car of all the Skyline family.

Unfortunately it's worth very little now and unless it's going to finish up like Matty's (whatshisname) ride, it probably won't be worth much more with the extra mods.

IMHO, flog it and invest bud.

That is a fair statement, and I see where youre going with it. As a value thing, its pretty much on the lowest end scale right now but its the emotional attachment that comes with it which is where my decision lies. If I was to part it out I'd be looking at a mildly modified 33 GTR price range of things worth in parts, although the idea of a 33 GTR sitting in my garage is appealing in some ways, at the same time so is the idea of leaving them behind :P... but I'd probably put my money elsewhere if that was the case anyways.

Have you seen Love the Beast?

Yeah, quite a touching doco that, does hit home I must say hahaha.

I don't know how you could sell it Marko knowing you have the social responsibility that comes with owning a GTS-t that doesn't look like ass

what needs to be done to make it run

To be honest, to get it to run... not a whole lot.

Install front facing plenum, injectors back in, install surge tank and external pumps (wiring already done), re-do fuel lines for e85, re-do cold side intercooler piping, install cams and tune.

Its still on an un-opened motor so hopefully it holds up for a little while but I've got rb26 forged internals on stand by in case it decides to not wanna play.

Theres a lot of fiddly bits to do tho. Off the top of my head, still got to do the roll cage mounts for the front section, put all the body bracing in, re-do brake lines, get the alignment and brake cooling sorted, mount the seats in and theres heaps of body work still plus all the pieces for the semi sealed underbody and diffusers to be cut and mounted properly...

  2. Finish it, enjoy it. That is if money isn't an issue.

If it is, piss it off

Well its more to do with the fact that its taking up space and that the money spent on it could be better used as an investment making me money instead of an idle asset costing me money hahaha.

Either way, I just bought more parts for it =/ as if the stock pile of stuff to go on next to it isnt enough. I cant help myself haha.

Im almost tempted to drop it in to a workshop and get them to assemble the rest.. hmmmm

    Keep it you dick.

Lol well, i guess youre in no better situation then I am hahaha

  3. So, Ive had my r33 gtst for a long time now, almost 4 years, and in that time its gone from a dead standard s1 automatic in to a personal project of blood sweat and tears. There have been many memmories, many ideas, many experiences and much love gone in to it. Majority of the work was done by myself and a few close mates from time to time. Its now gotten to a point where I just dont have the time to finish it anymore, its sat in the garage for the last year and a half neglected while ive been trying to move myself up and get a career going.

I have always said unless I or someone else was to write it off that it would never leave my sight, but its just getting to a point where I dont know what to do with it :(. I have lost motivation to keep going and finish it off but its been a long and interesting journey from the day I got it till now, its almost like a silent immobile member of the family. The amount of memories I have of everything happening in my life in that time around that car is just too much to let go!!

    I have two options,

Keep doing what im doing and one day get around to finishing it off when time and money permits.

Strip it, turn it in to a house deposit and move on.

I need some guidance, SAU help a brother out?? ;)

  4. Easy as, I did mine back in 06 or 07 i don't quite remember it was so long ago now, barely had any riding experience, i knew where the controls were and how to use them but never actually ridden. The two day course was a breeze for your L's and the P's test even easier although I was an idiot and waited till my L's almost expired before going for P's but in that time did over 15,000kms on a motorbike so plenty of experience for the test haha.

My recommendation, go for your P's as soon as possible, because its only after you get the P's that your 12month restricted license kicks in properly.

Its pretty hard to stuff up, if you're well co-ordinated with your hands and feet you shouldn't have any problems... if you're not, you shouldn't be riding... or driving for that matter :P

(you learn that riding the clutch on a bike is actually encouraged and necessary, exact opposite of what we do in cars)

Once you know your way around the controls and get a feel for it you use it like any other clutch. There is no need to ride it at all unless youre still getting the feel for the engagement point. Now days I only use it to take off from the lights and come to a complete stop, rarely ever to shift gears unless im feeling lazy, its much quicker to rev match and flat shift up or down.

  9. Ive been telling people about the min 30% water increase for over a year now, everyone thought eh whatever... well well well. Perks of working at the f**k up of a desalination plant.

Which for the record STILL isnt operational, all the bs on the news... DONT BELIEVE IT. I am yet to hear a single machine or generator start buzzing and pumping anything. The water outlet shaft (returns water back to sea) isnt even connected yet ffs. They did some water testing and what not, made a bunch of cartons of water to prove to people how theyve successfully desalinated water (which no one drinks at the desal, and I have a hard time believing that place made anything).

f**k i hate this state, and this government. Bunch of useless idiots who just want $$$.

  12. 2x HKS 25/40 turbos up for grabs.

Bought them new $4200 for my R34 GTR but I put them on and did a dyno run/tune and decided I wanted to go down the single turbo route. So they are like new. Have full boost at 4500rpm aprox, I would say about 1000 kms done on them, if that. Please be reasonable when offering, and if any questions, please contact me.

Looking for around $4000, but dont be afraid to make an offer. No time wasters, genuine buyers only.

    Also listed on ebay.

    PM for details.
