  1. RAW 034 White 4 door R34 in backstreets in Dover Gardens. Nice car but plz consider residents before doing skids in backstreets.
  2. Got any xenon headlight plugs? I cracked mine. Just the plug that the globe goes into
  3. Not sure on retail. The guys there are good mates. If you tell Adrian that Kevin sent you, he might look after you, or charge you more for knowing a knob like me And cheers, I need someone to buy it though
  4. they also do custom logos for a bit extra.. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j85/Silh...te/IMGP1313.jpg
  5. I got a pair of brand new Velo's for my car. They're on Jacobson Crst. Holden hill. They have every seat they make available for testing in the showroom. They're also ADR approved, my car went through regency with them without a problem. They also do ADR approved harnesses.
  6. nah its a really really loud buzzing sound like shorting out a positive terminal on a battery to an earth M I K E, it's the plug that the globe goes into. Local auto elec had no idea what a HID/xenon headlight was, handy, so no help there.
  7. don't spose theres an off chance of someone having some spare plugs that go onto the back of the globes that they can sell me?
  8. cheers adam, the tricky bit was getting to the bolts behind the bits of the front bar between the grille n headlight. well got the lights out and back in all good. got to bed at 1am damnit!! drivers side works fine but the passenger side seems to have issues. I cracked the cover on the back of the globe plug, and i think its not letting some of the contacts or something connect properly. It buzzes really loud when i turn the lights on, for about 3 seconds, then goes silent and doesnt light up. but if I flick the lights on and off a few times it'll come on.. I've tried the drivers side globe in the passenger side and it didnt make a difference. So it's gotta be the dodgy plug or ballast? It's all wired up properly, tested it with the multimeter and its getting power, although it does fluctuate a bit.
  9. yeah, shouldave, was tryin to get the fat dog washed before it got dark so he wouldnt freeze to death, lol. plus my stag was at home with the headlights outta it trying to fit xenons... needed it for work this morning, didnt go to bed till 1am oh and also spotted HOSTILE on kenihans rd this arvo

    Xenons

Can someone point me in the right direction where the ballasts are for a s2 stagea? Mine were removed for compliance, I got a pair back today from my importer but I think they're from a different car, they have ballasts attached and look like a different globe holder.... Had a quick look and can't find where these huge ballasts are mounted, so I'm thinking mine are mounted somewhere else and might not have been removed?
  14. nah wasnt me thankfully, i dont go past there till 7.30, 7 is way too early
  15. If there's light fallout, you most likely won't get it off with any hand polishing. Best bet is to carefully claybar the whole car. most of the time swirls can't be removed by hand unless they're really light, in which case you'd use scratch-x after claying. Another option is Meguiars "Speedglaze" which I use at work. Then after that you need to seal it with a wax or polish to prevent further fallout, since scratch-x/speedglaze is a cutting compound and not a sealant. I prefer to use wax as it leaves a glossier finish, but doesn't last as long as polish (such as meguiars wet-look). The wax I use at work isn't generally available at shops and you have to buy it in a 1gallon bottle. From meguiars, either use Wet-Look (polish, dont need to apply as often) or Colour Boost (wax, glossier finish but more frequent application neccessary). Since I don't mind working on my car once every month or 2, I use wax... Dunno if that helps or not. On a silver car you generally can't see scratches or swirls unless they're fairly extreme.
  16. bugger. wish i'd gotten up earlier.
  17. saw a pure porn bayside blue r34 gtr yesterday arvo on portrush rd i think it was.. had bronze wheels and the perfect stance. also a silver r33 with enr33 or similar plates, on cold store rd in the hills yesterday for classic adel.
  18. bugger. just got out of bed and it'll take at least 30 mins to get to the meet for me.. so that makes me already late. plus my mates used my car for classic adelaide yesterday so its filthy as. have fun.
  19. You at a dealership or detailing shop? In 4 weeks after 4 years of detailing, I go onto a new job at a brand new dealership in charge of detailers and mechanics and such Can't wait for that..
  20. got waved by a white r34 on seacomb rd this arvo. couldnt see a sau sticker. i nodded back as i was skipping music with my free hand
  21. an orbital doesn't spin, it oscelates, thus not spinning and thus not leaving swirls. the only thing it can leave behind is marks left if the pad has something in it, which are a prick to get out. but its already been mentioned, everyone does the job differently. The methods I use leave a perfect non scratched or swirled paint surface, so its the only way I do it.. There's only really preferences as to what products and tools to use, not really a right or wrong way as long as the end product is the same. And I've been in the new car game for 4 years, I must be doing something right if Ive still got a job
  22. It's one thing to have glossy paint, but to be swirl and scratch free, especially on darker colours, is alot harder to keep looking nice. Best way to remove swirl marks is with an orbital buff. They cost about $250 for a good one, I think mine was around 230. They oscilate instead of spin. And there's no point in spending hundreds on polishes and crap. If you know how to use products and equipment properly it's fairly cheap. I'd probably use about $100 in consumables in a year (not that i pay for it... thanks to my work )
  23. Yer looks like I'm doubtful. But can I get a PM with the location.. I asked earlier on but someone mentioned its changed?
  24. I'll take coilovers, rims, seats out and sell you the rest for 7k. Otherwise please don't post. If I can't get what it's worth I'll put it into storage. All 7 pages of pictures are here http://s78.photobucket.com/albums/j85/Silh...1%20Silhouette/ And yeah you need at least 10 or 20 posts to view the members cars area. Car is lodged for Carsales.com.au, should be up on Monday night. I've had alot of interest just by driving it around last night with a for sale sticker on the window, unfortunatly mostly dreamers. I won't be handing out test drives to anyone unless I know they're seriously interested.
  25. really? wow I never even thought of that. What a dickhead. for sale. pair of Sony RCA's. lol.
