  1. hehe

    Hi everyone,,

Well its time to find a new home for my much loved afro-mobile,,

It’s an off-road go-kart which will be suited to large paddocks etc.

Its basically stock standard , besides the following mods ,,

    Suzuki GT-250 Motorbike engine,

    2-Stroke

Twin Cylinder – Twin Carbi engine

    Twin exhausts,,

Hydraulic disc brake on the rear axle

Engine has its own oil tank which means no pre-mixing of fuel and oil is required.

    Four point harness

    Fully padded roll-cage

    “6” Speed gearbox – (just like a R34 GTR, hehe) :P :bahaha:

It does about 80 to 90km/hr

But can go faster if larger diameter wheels are used or gearing is changed.

Do doubt I had to add a touch of Nissan in there somewhere,, so its got a Nissan silva seat,,,

Would like to see it go to a good home,,

    Priced to sell a.s.a.p

$900 ono (will consider all reasonable offers)

Prefer Brisbane buyers (might be a little bit too big to send through the post)

  2. The Series II’s also have a different turbo, Garret with metal compressor and steel turbine. Boost is set at about 900kpa and I believe the ECU is different as well.

Instruments have silver faces that light up orange, oil press and boost read in kpa vice kg/cm.

Center console is painted a bronze color and has the same radio options as the later GT-R. Shift boot is different and the shifter has about 10% shorter throws.

A good upgrade for Series I GT-t’s is to put a Series II shifter in as it is almost identical to the NISMO one and costs less.

Also the cover for the three gauges in the center has a better finish on it, more like the rest of the dash as does the center vent assy with the hazard button.

The power mirror controls are different as well. And the glove box does not lock.

    ummmm

    isn't 900kpa like 9bar?? that isn't right,,

on mine , car boosts up till 0.75-0.8 bar approx (10-11psi) (car is stock standard),,

also found out i "used" to have fog lights!!!! but they were removed because a c-west front bar was fitted in japan,!!! doh!!!!

also!!! there was a factory option of "cup holders" at the rear of the center console!! under the ash tray,,,

i don't have an ash tray or cup holders,,, just a plastic cover,, for both... hehe,,,

is ur engine bay bayside blue or is it a really dark navy blue (almost black)??, mine is painted the dark colour, ( so is demon dave's r34) ,, i can't see y nissan didn't just paint the engine bay blue,,,

    still,,,,,,, Bayside Blue rules,, :D

  3. Guys/Gals

I have a brand new intercooler for sale,,

    Copy of the hybrid coolers.

    Polished end tanks,,

Bought it for the r34,, but realised i'll have to do some major hacking to make it fit.. so i need to sell it,,

these were the specs given to me when i bought it

    Core :- 600 x 300 x 76

    HP Rating: 500-600hp

    Flow Test: 381.3cfu

    pressure drop of 0.2psi at 15psi ( i think)

Asking for $450,, need to sell fairly quickly..

Prefer Brisbane buyers for quick sale..

  4. i have to modify mine alot (c-west front bar),

i started modifying the front bar,, but than decided to hack up the guide,,

so didn't do to much damage to the bar, will show in pics later,,

i'll have to remove the whole front lip of the guide, coz my front grill/mesh wont fit, the front lip of the guide sticks out too far,, once again will post pics later on,,

    will update the changes soon,,,

    thanks

  5. ya,, the dimensions of the core is 600 X 280 X 80

that means the front of the cooler will need to be atleast 150mm (80 + 65mm pipe) from the air/con fan if the cooler piping is to clear..

i don't think the rotate thing would be a good idea, don't wanna spend any money modifying it if i buy it,, ya i can sorta see how the piping "could" restrict some of the air flow from the cooler,

but i dont think it would be a major disadvantage ( i hope)

man i can't seem to find any info on this sort of cooler piping,, well mr google hasen't been very helpfull yet ,

hoping someone out there has some pics or comments about this cooler,,,

    thanks

    Afro

  6. the apexi one is a little diff to that,, the pipe will end up coming right across the air-con fan (will go at an angle from top to bottom),, urs goes just under the fan right? ,,

hey how much did u end up spending on ur cooler?

i've seen only the cooler for sale,, but will have do buy/make up my own piping,,,

can u also give me the dimensions of ur hks cooler please...

did u have to cut/modify ur front bar support to fit the cooler??

    thanks heaps dude,,
