Thanks for the compliments Dave! Though mine is the easy job... Terry was the one that took the awesome pics! Its not like digital now where you can delete the ones you bugger up... I have no idea if there are shots of 70's Japanese fashion.... though I have 6 1/2 carousels to go, so its quite possible! I'm sure Terry can let you know if there are any.
I wish I could put the higer res scans up, but its just not practical. Besides, the difference you see on screen is almost not even noticeable. You'd only really use the higher res scans for large prints.
Anyway, here are a few more... a few crackers here I reckon so enjoy!

So now the journey has begun...
The files seem to upload ok, though these are jpeg versions of the 200ppi tiff files I saved. I have 3600ppi saved images, but the files are over 700mb each. These look ok on the screen, so I'm happy.
All I hope is that I do Terry's photos justice!
As Terry has said, please do bear with me, as I'm just doing this in my spare time...
I have included the volume number and image number for each image based on What Terry has written on each slide carousel. This is along with brief descriptions Terry has also jotted on each carousel box. Maybe a link to this thread in the photography section might be good too... Tez, would you like to sort that out?
I am sure Terry will also provide running commentary, and invite comments on anything of interest.
Well, enough jibber jabber from me... here are a few more pics!

You can have your own thread in the photo diaries area can't you?? Just wanted to make sure we had this in the right area anyway!
Enough talking... here are the first couple of photos (hopefully) to test if tiff files can be viewed here.
well it seems they can't so here it is converted to jpeg.

I was just thinking... before I upload any pics, should this be moved to Japan Photo Diaries?
-
ahh yeah, I see where you're coming from akeenan.
yeah they are a general auto parts manufacturer - well actually they have their hand in everything in Japan from banking to cars (just some info for those that didn't know).
If it was a mitsubishi made product I would suspect the box would have the three diamond symbol on it, and the fact that it says 'kabushikigaisha worksbell' on the bottom of the last pic... denoting the company that I assume made the product.
again I am sure you can read that Akeenan, but just info for those that couldn't.
-
on the black/white sticker it says '813 (mitsubishi ACC)'.
Did you have a mitsu at some stage?
-
CBF doing the literal translation...
They are usually road safety 'good luck charms' if you know what I mean

We have 4 tickets left.... a few mates pulled out damn fools.
First in with the $$ gets them, unfortunately I wont hold them as I've already had people stuff me around.
Tickets are $125... (incl ticketek booking fee)
We have them as e-tickets.
sec 322 (near halfway - see attached pic)
Seats are within the first 10 rows, and are seated together.
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong selling these at face value, but if there is a prob, mods please let me know.
I can be contacted on 0403 271 517 anytime.
Cheers,
Beau

I've never had a problem with the band expanders...
I think some of the old ones had a switch that changed them from 15-20mhz frequency boost... so maybe the one dori32 has is like that and its on 15, or just not hooked up right.
If you're not aware, the unit will still show Jap frequency numbers, you just add 20 to get the desired station you want.
eg, 106.9 will show 86.9 on the Jap unit, 97.3 will show 77.3 etc etc.
Am stations are unchanged
