Dunno abt e-manage, but there was another thread discussing abt e-manage side effect of melting the coil pack in automatic Nissan cars. Didn't happen with Toyota cars, so apparently owning an automatic Nissan performance car could b a real pain if u want to modify it to a certain level... Do a search on e-manage in this forum... cheers.

He said his car is automatic. PowerFC doesn't work with Automatic cars. So far Apexi only made one version for the auto, which is for the Supra only, due to many TT Supra in Japan are autos. If you want PowerFC, get your R34 converted to a manual, or sell it and buy a manual R34. Alternatively Buddy Club released a piggy back computer for auto cars, but dunno who can tune it here in Australia.

1st one was the old model (discontinued). Get the latest one (blue screen), should have more features & improvements than the old one.

A 93 csi camry v6 owned me on a wet night. I can't accelerate fast enough with my wheelspin from 1st thru 3rd gear.... I gave up and let the camry driver had his win against r33. Don't underestimate front wheel drive cars with less power on a wet surface, they can accelerate fast enough on the edge without upsetting the traction due to less turbo kick that can send your tail around. Everytime I get rear wheel spin, my tail will start spin to the left, and I can't risk it at speed over 100kph so the camry won the fight....

I have a 3" full system too, but looking under my car, I'm sure mine is still at least 10cm above the ground, not like yours Ronin. I haven't actually measure it, but I've seen mine before and it looks way way much higher than yours.

I get harrassed to, mostly by V8 & Camry drivers in the first few months owning my R33.... but I just didnt give a sh*t so they lost interest and I got less harrassed now. V8 I get it, but Camry? I dun get it, some idiots buy Camrys to drag off traffic light I really couldn't understand. Perhaps once every 1 or 2 months there'll still be a driver to try to race me. And since I dun care if ppl wanna race me, there maybe more and I may not even noticed 'em.

wait till you're 40+ and see if u don't have mid life crisis unless u can have menopause perhaps... hehehe soarers are more targeted to mid 30s-40+ executives anyway, so was reflected in their new prices back in japan. anyway by skyline prices when they were new, I don't think there were many young drivers drove them in japan, probably ppl around 25-35 is my guess. younger drivers in jpn would probably go for 180sx at that time. In australia, ppl who used to be around 18-24 back in 1993 when they released the R33, really wanted that car and couldn't afford it back then, (just like me). Then now, 10 yrs later, those ppl including me would be around their 30s. So they buy the R33 and drive them around. Someone in their 60s in TAS also offered to buy my R33 last year but I'm not selling. Those ppl could also be an enthusiast not just mid life (or late life) crisis, but doesn't mean they have to have a club and cruise around every week. There's other clubs beside SAU to accommodate Skyline drivers, such as the Nissan Club, and my guess some members can be 40+ and drove around in their 260-280ZXs. On the other hand, 2nd hand prices for R32-R33 would be darn cheap now and allow younger drivers to buy them - then "whinging" in this forum when they saw old ppl driving the same car they drive Why not look at some Ford Mustang owners, they could be 40-50+ doesn't surprise me... they were also 18yo once, 40 yrs ago when Mustang rules the american roads in the 1960s...... That makes me think, if I really have my mid life crisis in the next 10 yrs, what would I buy? A 15 years BMW M3 perhaps, and share the road with other 20yo drivers who's gonna talk about this same thing on M3 Forums Australia (maybe one day). Long post, my 2c.... my old fingers getting tired

Maybe coz u're not sitting in their car that's why urs always sound louder than some other R33 that passes by metres away.

Are u referring to the sub-zero's auto GTS-t? I think their gts-t doesn't use the factory auto box, think it was a 3-speed special auto gearbox made by an australian transmission specialist... can't remember the name tho. U might b able to strengthen ur auto box for about $1500-2000, but I doubt you'll get to 10s with that. Even the manual ones may need straight cut gearboxes like Trust etc if u wanna achieve that performance.

I have 3" front pipe. Before I put it in, I only used 3" cat back. The noise gets slightly deeper, I agree, and may even sound like it's less noisy after I put in the front pipe.
-
And I'm on spot on 30... But that doesn't mean I should be driving around in Camry or Magna! R33 is my car... and I'm gonna enjoy it.
-
Thx Ronin. Will try him. 8-10db would be great, as to human ear, I heard every increase of around 3db would seem to sound twice as loud. So to our ear, reducing 10db means only felt about 30% of the noise...

Well, Leewah from ICE Performance won the dyno comp on recent Melb Autosalon. So they must know skylines well. I did a manual conversion with ICE Performance, fitted with Daiken Organic Clutch. Car drives well and nicer than when it was with auto box. Freeplug: ICE Performance (03) 9512 7591 Ask for Gerald or Nigel or you can pm leewah on this forum too. Regarding insurance, I informed Just Car that I put in manual gearbox in my auto R33, so no hassles with them. Good luck mate. Rianto

has anyone used any silencer for a Trust exhaust with 110-115mm tip? Wonder if APexi's silencer will bolt on as they both have the same tip size. About $100 though...
-
I did conversion on mine. Manual gearbox with auto diff 4.3 ratio, so at 100kph, mine sits at around 2700rpm. An original manual with 4.1 diff should be revving at around 2500+rpm (4% less rev required)

roo meat? nice to slice thinly then bbq it. but u said they drugged the roo to kill it, so what happen to ppl who eat the roo? I hope no one in the car get injured tho...

Regarding aftermarket ECU, which one more worth it, PowerFC + optional boost control kit or PowerFC + separate elec boost control like AVC-R? The price difference could be up to $300-400 which can be put into other mods. This is to consider that I don't fancy going to drag racing, so application is for normal street driving.

Where's the last pitstop that has 98RON petrol? Last time I was in Apollo Bay I dun think 98RON ever existed there... Is that BP before Geelong the last one with 98RON? What about on the way back, are we going the same way or thru the rainforest?
-
highway cruising shouldn't use too much petrol, approx 10.5L~11.0L/100km?? unless u keep bootin' it and do silly things on the road (which is not recommended for the sake of SAU's name)...
-
Considering the distance, I suppose it's gonna be at least 8 hrs?
-
I guess so... Previous HUGE cruise to Arthur's Seat drew quite a few attention from cops.. but I suppose that's more than just SAU members, as lots of cars were not even Skylines :-) But I might go this time (80% sure) if not have to do something else on that Sunday.
-
I'd love to join, haven't been on a cruise for quite some time. Missed the MAS and meeting other SAU members there, lots of personal life issues as just ditched my gf that week. If no other things came up on that sunday, might join you ppl. Hope it's not too big cruise as big ones always draw too much "unwanted attention" Hope the weather is good, so we'll get good view of the scenery...

How does suspended license work? If u hand in ur license for suspension, then when you pick it up, do you get the same license? Do they keep it in vicroads or they destroyed it - then issue you with a new one with different number after the suspension period is over?
