  1. Is it worth paying the extra cost to get both powerfc & the hand controller? As most tuning workshop who can do powerfc should have the hand controller, once it's set nice, do you need the hand controller yourself to change something from time to time?
  2. what suspension whiteline uses? I read an hpi old article, they use bilstein for their handling kit, is that correct? how does bilstein ride on bumpy road? dun want my daily driver to be so stiff on my back...
  3. gee wow, now you own a hybrid what happenned to the RB, by the way
  4. Hmm.. I think some people call it VCT (Variable Cam Timing) but not sure if they're the same or not. S14 silvia got them and the VCT controller sometimes dies and need to be replaced, otherwise you may get weird noises from the engine....
  5. I think most jap kit FMIC requires no major cutting as labour is expensive in japan, so everything is a straight fit with only spanners and screwdrivers. But you gotta pay the price though.
  6. Mine is S1, and it obviously got the V V T controller (now I think is dying) that I need to replace. I think all RB25DET has V V T
  7. Required 1 (one) VVT (Variable Valve Timing) controller that would suit a S1 R33 GTS-T (RB25DET engine). PM me with price offer. Thank you. Rianto
  8. you only reduce ur tyre pressure if you, say driving a 4WD on a sandy beach so your tyre didn't sink. Or, you go to drag race and need a little tyre wall flex so you get more grip on hard (straight) launch, not just bumping around the track. For anything else, pump up your tyres with enough pressure in it, coz they're good for corner handling and less rolling resistance will save fuel.
  9. if that tein is adjustible, possible your rear settings are a tad too firm. it might have been set for drift where the tail will kick out easily. soften it a bit might help.
  10. sorry, read my dyno chart wrong. on higher boost setting at 11 psi the A/F ratio ranges from around 12.6 to 13.4... only after reducing the boost to 10psi the car managed to maintain between 11.5-12.5 A/F ratio and achieved an extra 14rwkw. Reducing my boost increase my engine power from 140rwkw @ 11psi to 154rwkw @ 10psi
  11. Well mine is a 93 model, which means if the 10-yr old pump is dying soon I wouldn't be surprised... On the other hand, yea maybe the fuel filter is dirty and not allowing good flow of fuel. However another Q: does a gts-t injectors up to the task if you use higher flowing gt-r fuel pump?
  12. oh, in the meantime that leaning out was fixed by safc rich setting, but i dun think it will solve 100% of the prob if I increase boost pressure. currently running 10psi only.
  13. on the dyno, my car A/F ratio is a bit too lean, like around 12.5 will putting in a gt-r fuel pump solve the problem? or something else, what about fuel pressure regulator, does this thing helps?
  14. Since u're buying a unit, why not give yourself a favour. Get the prelude. I know they're not fast enough, but should b pretty good for non turbo cars. Also you will save money on insurance and you can use that extra cash for your new house repayment. Am I making sense this way?

  16. Update: Price for complete exhaust system is now $125.00
  17. Reprazent, There are companies who can make japanese tv screen system work in australia, (such as Toyota Soarer's Sat-Nav/TV Screen). I dunno who they are in Perth where u live, but have a look around HPI magazines, sometimes they advertise there. With a little bit of luck, they might get it work, then all u hav to do is integrate it with one of those sat-nav head units and you can fly blind from perth to anywhere
  18. if u have a GTS4, you might as well get a GT-R gearbox, and your drivetrain would be closer to GT-R spec. Might cost more though than normal RWD car, coz yours 4WD, but I dunno.

    shipping from japan

I bought my trust mx exhaust from takakaira, cost heaps of $ but no hassles through shipping via EMS right to my door. Try nengun or greenline, they'll probably ship your item includes all the required documents for customs procedure.

  21. 270km/h, did ur friend uses speed cut? Did the 300zx speedo also up to 180kp/h and speed limited to 180 from factory, or do they have >180 because they were intended to us market?
  22. Oh, and I think Prestige Motor Sports' 300ZX is one madly boosted animal on the road. It's auto and despite all mods, the car is still very reliable. I think it was on sale quite some time ago, maybe contact them and ask for more details or hints on modifying 300ZX without blowing them up.
  23. In one of HPI old issues, they mentioned that 300ZXs with VG30DETT is actually very good and reliable engine. There's nothing wrong with the V6 itself. The reason why most of them start playing up when modded is because poor heat management under the bonnet (not much room and air circulation), particularly in TT models. Therefore wiring looms will melt as they get old, and engine boosted higher than std would overheat coz it can't dissipate the heat, resulting in various engine failures over a long period of time. If u want one, I suggest get a stock TT one, as young as possible (find something like 96 or above) & as low km as possible and when you modify it, don't be a superman. Try use sensible boost level & make sure you get either bonnet vents or aftermarket frontbar with extra hole at the front (I read somewhere the US version has this kind of bumper for better airflow). Correct me if I'm wrong as I only know thinly abt 300ZXs.

  25. Nothing wrong with nissan perf cars, I own one! I think more like incompatibilty between e-manage and auto cars. As I said do a search on e-manage, not 100% sure if that was the issue with e-manage+automatic nissan.
