Would an RB30 one work? I know the L24 auto box is the same as an RB30e box, so its possible there are some interchangeaboltity?

I know of a 4 door, 5 speed, regoed, rebuilt etc... $3000 with RWC and a full set if bilsteins ready to go on in NSW though

im keen on the turbo manifold, VLt injectors, cut king springs and uncut stock springs, z31 front struts with r31 kyb inserts no springs (if they fit R30) and Hawk c12 aftermarket ecu<--- offer of $400 for that...) -

i have 2, but they are spares. there IS however a TI near me, all window mechs are there. they are a pain to remove as the screw is usually corroded or fused into the mount, si drilling is required if you REALLY keen, let me know how much you wnat to pay for them, and I will go sort it out. Postage willo likely be $30 as they weigh a fair bit -

ok well i will make sure i get one before i leave.... i DID have one, but it got butchered to go in my mates R31, is 1 pin too short to make a reliable connection back to a R30 afm there are a few 280zx and R30 near me... i'll go hava looksee

heheh!! good stuff! i know that would of been hard to come by in tassie! please run a cooler toough....please! theres a tassie datsun forum with 'SCANDO' from hybrid z etc as aregular menber... hes running a hot L28 powered 260z... may be worth signing up to go see him at a baskerville track day sometime im coming to hobart at the end of the month for a camping trip, if you need anything from vic let me know... i got spares galore!

would be very similar.. but i was going to make it for the ECCS style setup not the bosch L-jet type so it would be for the chopper wheel/CAS in dizzy type thing but in looking at your schematicws, looks easy enough to have it setup for the standard L24e dissy too! Its all just an idea at the minute... gotta make my own before getting orders etc! I got so damn much on these days...

well... Once mine is built, running and tested... so its proven to be a winner I was contemplating ordering in a few kits (Megasquirt II version 3PCB) , then building them and loading the tune my L24et will have (have access to dyno and wideband etc) the MS will then be able to be bought by fellow R30 luvers.... and edited to suit their individual setups I can get 5 kits for a reasonable price they take 8 to 12hrs (per ecu) soldering and testing on a stimulator board, (60hrs) then a weekend tuning, (16 hrs) week of testing, (1 hr a day = 5 hrs) (1 hr of driving around per ECU) then another weekend of final tuning and documentation for L series specific installation (16 hrs) All up it would take about 97 hrs of my spare time to get 5 together would look at $500 per ECU, completly tested, tuned, installation instructions. add another $100 for complete plug in loom... If this was to be done in my spare time it would take quite a while to do, but I am willing to take a week or so off work for the final production run Im thinking its pretty reasonable... if i was offered the same deal i would order one thats for sure!

looking at getting a megasquirt 2 v3 for my ride... $300 for the kit landed within 5 days! also have access to a dyno and a wideband... plus a good tuner at $30 an hr now to stop busting things and start saving!

ok i put a stock airbox lid back on... PLUS the stock intake duct.... it is quieter than the chopped mod one, doesnt rev up as quick, but is more driveable... can stay in overdrive at 70km/h up a hill! definilty has MORE torque than the chop top one. so the moral of the story is... ghetto style NZ mods suggested by rednecks are NOT cool....

Well just a quick update... 2 weeks ago i did a big run from melbourne up to lake eildon via the marysville black spur (a few 100 km) giving it some serious stick the whole way! on the way home, got stuck in a group of 20 cars going 15km/h through big twisty hills temp guage went spastic, really hot car started detonating/pinging on light to moderate acceleration... it didnt know what was going on pulled over, heater hose looked liek it exploded, coolant all over the firewall and a cranky wife in the passenger seat... got towed, left it for a few days, then towed it to the datto workshop for a professional diagnosis. he said to get new hoses, a coolant flush, and new coolant! the head got hot enough to pre-ignite the fuel mixture, causing the pinging... i though i had fooked it properly! so spent an hour or so flushing it through, new good coolant ($40 worth) and she's all good did another twisty run with 'sneeze inc' car club... not a problem at all! did very well in the twistys, kept up with the redtop HR31's with ease... And for the turbo conversion, well all thew parts are there, just finalising a loom. Have access to one in the USA, but the guy is in trouble as he is in houston, so his workshop got mangled up in the hurricane... BUGGER Have too many ideas too, just gotta stick to the original plan. Boost the L24. all in all haveing lots of fun, very reliable. cutting the top of the airbox off helps too, plus advancing the timing and running premium, and removal of the aircon belt (its not hot enough fr it yet) Long live the R30

i have been offered a C210, its worth alot more than i have settled the price on... 4 door, worked L24, resprayed, 5 speed, black near mint interior.... Just gotta arrange the transport from its current owners just thinking on buying it now, then reselling in a few months/years time (after ive given it a cut & polish and fully steam cleaned it up, detailed and tuned... oh and rego and full RWC) It comes with a fully rebuilt & worked L26 on a pallet What are ppl willing to pay for them these days?

DO YOU HAVE THE IRON MASK FRONT END? im on the hunt for DR30 front struts & brake assemblies, iron mask filler panel, the exhaust sounds like a good one too the best thing you can do is take picks of it all, and make it open to offers some guys reckon the parts are like gold, and cant seem to sell the bits until the finally realise its just metal and sell it at the current market value, not the perceived value thought up by the the owner but pics up matey...

i think that fella in QLD also has a 4 door paul newman R30 with tripple webbers i have had 3 R30's in the last 12 months... the panel beater has a 60,00km one that has sat in his workshop for the last 15 years... should be finished within the next few months.... hey drew... you know Randys 4 door? im tempted to buy that off him (one day when im rich )... very tempted it HOWLS

Had a good look at it last night, too dark for pics though. SHe said $2500 with rego till march, and a RWCert... cant rally fault it at all... the grill is in MINT condition, and there are even hgenuine headlight protectors the only reasn i wouldnt buy it is the brown interior, i HATE brown interiors! but will get some pics on the weekend (of the car... not miss double D beauty therapist!) -

the girl next door (yes she is a hottie) has hers for sale for $2000 190,000km, gold/champagne colour, hatch, auto Ti (all luxo here mate!) 100% original. even has headlight protectors original Ti rims located in Melbourne,,, so its a few tanks of fuel to SA can get some pics for ya if you like it passed RWC about 10 months ago... shouldnt have any troubles not a bad buy i think, seeing as it needs NOTHING to do on it, no rust or anything -
