  1. The story goes, bought a project car.... 16 years ago now.

Its been stripped and placed in the back of the shed for to long.

I bought it in 2006, the plan was to tidy it up and use it as a daily, keep my 33 gtr for the weekend.

The last owner made it a sex spec 90s autosalon car. Vertex kit, white interior and strangely run on dedicated gas....

Its a factory manual turbo and bought for $2000....

Seeing stock/lightly modified skylines these days is cool.

The old reliable and proven rb25 hiflow, injectors and tune combo 220-230kw is good for the Sunday cruise car.

Especially if you already have a quick LS powered boat.

yer exactly thats the way im leaning towards

i like the idea of lifting the bonnet and still showing the 20

pending budget and what you intend to do with it have you considered a rb52/30, vq35/37 or LS conversion?
The VQ or LS may cost a little bit more initially to setup and get going but long term and parts availability good option. Parts everywhere and most repco has it on the shelf.

Ive done a LS conversion in my 33 for track.

To be honest i want to go abit more standard and make it a nice weekend car. Put it on historic rego etc.

I was considering the 2.4 ltr Rb20 with the 26 crank. But for the money isnt really worth the effort

  4. Hey all

I'm putting together a r32 gtst at thr moment. I considered putting a 25 in it but everyone does that.

So at this stage I'm thinking I'll stick to the humble 20. Unless I can think of something to do that's a bit more funky I think ill just rebuild it.

    I've seen this kit

    https://www.spoolimports.com/engine-rebuild-kits/spool/nissan-rb20det-rebuild-kit-with-spool-h-beam-conrods-and-cp-forged-pistons?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp62mmpfO_AIViZlmAh20PQrcEAQYAyABEgJLwPD_BwE

    Is that decent value?

Happy to hear any other ideas

  5. afternoon all,

Im looking at rims for my 32gtst.

Im liking the work emotion XT7 range.

The guards will be rolled and have front adjustable and rear adjustable arms. I dont want top pull the guards at all but happy to run some camber.

    they come in 18 X 9.5 - [5-100, 5-114.3 / +12, +22, +30, +38] - Deep concave

    10.5 +22 Ultra deep

What do you think my go to will be front and rear

    Street use?

This is Realdash in the stagea (horrible reflections but your get the idea) on an android head unit. Much easier to read than the pic implies

different screens and skins available, can display whatever you have in the ECU (makes more sense to attach a sender to the ECU than have a sender for a dedicated physical gauge)

In the Fuga I have a plug and play Greddy Informeter mounted next to the screen

Race car I use IQ3 for data logging and driver display and IC7 for driver/nav functions. I can't find any pics handy but the IQ3 is on the steering column partially obscuring the stock dash (which I kept for speedo, torque gauge and warning lights and the IC7 is mounted in front of the centre vents which are inop in the race car. Obviously the IQ3 has a logging function and analysis software which is super useful for race/rally

    Hey mate,

the realdash, what ecu's can you use with it?

Im thinking of modernising my 32gtst dash cluster

I question any of the Nismo rubber being different than the OEM counterpart except the inflated price.

to be honest im finding it hard to find OEM ones at this point

Until the passenger side one is in two pieces, like the OEM ones.

Don't bother is my advice. Put something that isn’t glued together.

Nismo are only $200 ish anyway
