  1. Australia. Personal Import.
  2. Cheers Dave! Yeah, it was an easy decision in the end. Its got great brakes too, 4 pot brembos on the front 2 pots on the rear. Well sorted package. I think your mods are fine, but the coilovers?..hmmm. Im thinking ill stop at a boost increase, help it to breathe better and upgrade the ECU...that should be plenty. It has enough poke to get me in trouble as it is!
  3. Thanks Nick. Yeah, rexnet? Not likely...i love youz guyz too much!
  4. I think what really settled matters for me were a number of different things... Firstly, the car is a wagon so it has plenty of room. The missus and I, plus another couple, can head off camping in it no problem, chuck the gear in the back. Secondly, its 4wd so it can go anywhere, anytime and it'll be perfect for ski trips up to Nagano next season. Then there's the fact that its extremely rare in Oz and at last count there were only 6 known cars in the country. Brian's and mine will be 7 and 8. Also, theres the performance and its no slouch. It looks good too, at least i think so and the condition its in is great. It was also a bargain. Thats important. It has basically ticked every box i can think of and thats probably the most amazing part.
  5. butt munch? lol, whats that supposed to mean Richard? Brian, youve been a great help as has everyone else who has offered advice and support. Much appreciated fellow SAU members... ummm....does this mean im going to have to leave here and join a wrx forum or something, lol! It seems upgrades aren't too far away already and i dont mind spending a bit of coin to get more out of the package. Ive been dying to get stuck into a car for years now and finally, finally, its happening. First things first though. That recaro baby seat is pimp! Although..thats a while off yet i have to say. Yep. Happy camper am i.
  6. Just in case anyone thought the car was slow...
  7. LOL, yeah fair enough. Thats pretty lame to go on about this and then not tell you what I..sorry..., we got. Its a 2005 Subaru Forester Sti version. 13,000 kays on the clock and its stock as a rock. Bloody nice car: 0-100 in just over 5 seconds, around 330 hp, WRC blue...im totally satisfied with the car.
  8. Well, its done. Finance has been approved and the car is right in my grasp. You'll see it soon enough...and its not an evo wagon. Sorry Laurence, beers on me when i bring the car down to see you in 'Saka.
  9. Yeah James,I think it only added 100 kg's or thereabouts and its basically the same config. Its just teh hatch they had to sort out... I have to say though that i have a surprise in store.
  10. *********EDIT*********
  11. dai oni, congrats on the sale of the rotor by the way. That thing is teh hotness.
  12. I see exactly what you mean. :D
  13. Dai oni, thats wicked. I just checked it out. Phat. Probably the only one destined for Oz, no?
  14. Haha, looks like we'll both be bringing wagons back. Yes, im looking for a car in Tokyo and thats where most of them are so thats a good thing. I dont think its ugly. Unless you were referring to the evo? Point is and i know someone mentioned it before, is that these two wagons are among the rarest cars in Australia and as such they are a sure bet. No doubt about it and ill take 'em ugly warts and all.
  15. Yeah, Omar...cereal has been pretty negative in the past. He seemed to be speaking for all of us which i didnt like..so... anyways, yeah im pretty happy and confident with the choice ive made. Ill post some pics of the car once ive chosen it. Thanks to those who helped with the decision.
  16. mmm..no actually there was never any purpose to you posting in it. Thanks anyway.
  17. No it hasnt. Ive come to a decision. Its going to be an evo wagon. Im on the hunt and looking at a few different examples. There are quite a few on the market at the moment oddly enough even though they only made 2500 of them, 400 of those are MR models so, that will narrow things down quite nicely. Golden week in Japan is coming up so im aiming for an April purchase. Ill have 10 days off to get used to driving it. Im so stoked.
  18. yeah, you know its always better to give than receive.
  19. you grammar nazi.
  20. Nick Heidfeld - The most underwhelming Pikey on the grid.
  21. Wow, thats the first time ive seen it from that angle and i have no doubt he sawed at the wheel twice even though he was clear of the corner. Im of the definite opinion it was deliberate. He induced a touch of over steer, made slight correction which you can see from the slight puff of smoke from the tyres but over compensated which put him clear of the corner so then he had to change his line through the corner and straightened up there by appearing to have run out of road. It was an amateurish cheating attempt. If he got it right on the first turn of the wheel it would have been impossible to tell but in actual fact he screwed up... And was penalized for it. Oh well...he still has 7 championships under his belt and i think ill be in the grave before that ever happens again!
  22. whoa..thats a brutal pho-chop
  23. Ahahahah! I LOL'd at that Ivan. Nice one.
  24. He was on fire when i met him and loving it. he was different then. Then as soon as Lewis arrived he started showing the world how immature he is and how good he is at chucking his toys out of the pram and getting absolutely slammed by a rookie. Ive lost a lot of respect for the young guy and i dont rate him as highly as i did a couple of years back.
