  1. Thats my guess to, just wanted to check that this was the case. Might have to price up some from Nissan.
  2. I've changed a leaking GTR injector on my RB20DET GTSt. According to this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...nging+injectors The injectors shold be hard to remove and replace? I had my new one cleaned and fitted with new o rings and it went straight in with no grease and almost fell out again. A reputable performance shop did the cleaning etc, are they suppose to be easy to fit or hard to fit in so there is a good seal???
  3. thanks for the fast reply mate, got it sorted now.
  4. Hey guys, I'm changing a faulty GTR injector on my RB20DET. I've got J the inlet pipe and throttle body off. How do you remove the electrical connector that clips onto the injector? Give em a twist wiggle them side to side??? I'm guessing you remove these before unbolting the fuel rail, dissconnect the fuel lines and the injectors and fuel rail just lift out. I've read this guide for RB25DET http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/In...lling+injectors and its a good help but I don;t want to break anything.
  5. Engine/Car: 1990 R32 GTSt RB20DET with 240,000kms Type of failure: Cracked Head Factors influencing the failure: Old gunked up radiator, air con radiator also blocked up with crap. Engine overheated after FMIC installed. State of tune of the engine: Mild, only exhaust and FMIC Suspension and tyres: Bilstiens and Tein sprngs Oil used and service interval: Castril Magnatec, every 5000 General comments: Overheated due to lack of airflow to already borderline cooling system. Was cheaper to replace engine than get a 240000 km RB20DEt rebuilt. Also got a new radiator and cleaned out the AC radiator and all runs sweet now.
  6. After 4 months off the road I just got it back, goes really well. Internally stock RB20 K&N Pod and shield Full 3" exhaust and dump pipe Intercooler GTR Injectors and uprated fuel pump Hi Flo R33 Turbo, steel wheels etc Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator Bang on 200rwkw @ 16psi, full boost at 4500-4600 rpm Opps forgot to mention a couple of important bits to my list above - Z32 Air Flow Meter - Chipped by Robin at Torque Performance
  7. Noticed a heap of oil in the overflow bottle the other day, so good opportunity to replace my 240,000km RB20DET. I already had it booked in for a manual conversion, RB25 High Flow turbo upgrade with GTR injectors so new motor at the same time is not too much more money and will get me more reliable power. Any one else stuffed their RB20 heads? I'm guessing cooling problem on mine so new radiator etc.
  8. Hey, I'm after some springs for my R32 to go with bilstien shocks. From what I've read the Whitelines are the way to go but can't get them here in NZ. Car is an daily driver, I've got Tein springs on there at the mo but finding the ride too harsh. Can anybody recommend a good shop, preferably with a phone number, I would appreciate it. Cheers!
  9. Cheers, I'm only after about 200rwkws so will standard injectors with the walbro and aftermarket regulator get me there? The R33 turbo is being rebuilt with ball bearings and steel wheels etc so that should be fine for this power. Yes I have my eye out for some GTR injectors but these 550cc second hand ones I've seen are only slightly more expensive than GTR ones.
  10. Hey, I'm looking at some 550cc injectors to go with my hi flowed R33 turbo. Will the stock ecu rechipped run these well?? Will 550cc be too big ?? Also I'm getting a walbro fuel pump, will I need a aftermarket regulator as well or will the fuel pump and 550cc injectors be ok. Current mods are basic stage 1 ie FMIC, Exhaust, EBC.
  11. Put some 25det coilpacks into my R32 GTSt this arvo but they were misfiring bad under load, ran fine on light throttle though. The factory packs ran fine. Has anyone done this swap before?? Did they run okay or did you get misfiring too. Mods are 3" zorst, cooler, HKS EVC at 11psi. Platiumn plugs at 1.0mm.
  12. Awesome, found the manual on the europe site that explains everything. Thanks heaps!!
  13. Just bought this boost controller, see piccy. Button on the right for power, left for boost. Does anyone kow how it works When the boost button is wound right down is this factory boost or 0psi boost? Also when its turned off I guess the car runs factory boost? Going into a R32 GTSt, current mods just full 3" exhaust. I'm getting a boost gauge fited and just going to set the EVC to 10psi until I fit a FMIC.
  14. Hmmm, my R32 GTSt was stock when I got it, I added a dump pipe back 3" exhaust and it went really well. I added a K&N pod with heat shied and it started hesitating when the car came on boost, like I was hitting a fuel/boost cut or something? I've since changed it back to the stok airbox and reset the ECU and it goes better than with the pod.
  15. Cool I'll get it then, worst case I just have to get an exhaust shop weld in a spacer it the tail section is short. Ta Muchly.
