  1. they had a DIY in a HPI or Hot 4s mag the other month with blocking off your stock BOV actually and mentioned how they didn't wanna get into the whole discussion about the damage it may do to your turbo or something. my pod use to make the funny du du du du du du noise but now it's just a rush of air, BOV wasn't hooked up properly.

  2. oh btw Ruby one of my windows takes about 5 secs to wind up so sure i could mutli task and flick all the buttons @ once and wind all windows up in about 6.5secs (when you use all motors @ once windows take a fraction longer) but i prefer to just wind each window by itself so 5sec x 4 windows = 20 secs extra from finding my car park then get my phone and wallet another 8 secs and car is ready to turn off thats assuming ive fanged the living crap out of it to the entrance of aforementioned car park

ah yes, i forgot you drove a four door, my bad. i only got 2 windows to wind up c and just forgot bout the four door peeps...oh and by the way...please read a bit more carefully...it's rubzy not ruby!

  3. hey pk, will you be bringing some SAU stickers to the dinner on satday? If you are i can grab some then, sounds like it would be a good idea to bring some just in case some ppl that turn up might want one or two, just giving you the heads up.

  4. if the kid is gonna get a turbo car he should at least start with a more stock variety anyway, the others are right by saying to stick away from something that he won't be able to control no matter how much he might think he can, we all believe we are superman at one stage in our lives but soon realise we are just human, some skilled more than others :)

  5. whoops, yeah...that's what i thought...b funny if someone reading this thought they actually needed to put in a kill switch though and went out and got one of those missile switch things installed for it...haha

  6. seriously though, think about how angry you'd be catching someone break into your pride and joy, would you be able to not beat on them too hard? personally i think i might get them at least once too hard like knocking 'em out (whoops) but then you'd realise...ok, i think they've had enough

  7. i personally don't use one any more most times you only need 30sec cool down by the time you get your wallet of of the centre console wind some windows up check you've got everything there over 30 secs to turbo timed

geez, how old is your skyline dude. doesn't take long to push a button for electric windows to go up and you can get that added to your alarm aswell if it's able to.

I hate TT's i really do, ive had turbo cars for years and never had a turbo failure.. its not hard to do, just drive normally and sedately for the last 5 mins before you arrive at your destination and you'll be fine.

TT's make your car easier to steal, having the ignition wires right behind the device.

thanks dude, how many car thieves you reckon have a look at forums these days to check out ppls rides. did you wana make it any more obvious? :P

  8. yeah, i know. at first my alarm had been going off for no reason a couple of times but when it initially went off i thought it was just having another hissy fit but cos i left it out in the driveway i figured i should take a look. when i looked outside i could see my interior light on and the passenger door open and thought F**K, musta just missed 'em so i grabbed my bat and went out into the street but couldn't see ne1, it was like 3am aswell. all they took was a bag of shrapnel i use to keep in my car but i had like $60sumfn in there, lil bastards :P

  9. i always try and remember to park my car in the garage overnight, been broken into once before in the driveway which really pissed me off but luckily no damage done somehow...i keep a baseball bat near my bed just in case and have for awhile but haven't had to use it yet... :P

  10. the purpose of the turbo timer is so the car can run for a bit to cool down the turbo if you've been thrashing it, you dont really need 1 you can just sit in your car for couple of minutes but most people are inpatient and prefer leaving it on and walkin away. theres nothing wrong wit your turbo, the standard boost gauge is in mm/hg not psi, so 3 is actually 7, so if it got up to 7 it would be 14 psi then you mite get issues wit your turbo. hope that helps

didn't think it was for the turbo to cool down but oil to run through it to keep it good so it doesn't sieze or something, not sure though...

  11. turbo timers are good for people that are normally in a bit of a rush and can't wait those few minutes in their car so it comes in handy sometimes. Automatic ones are good cos they determine how long the timer should run for with consideration for how much and how hard you have been boosting for. Just got to remember when you do get out and walk away from your vehicle cops aren't around cos they illegal. Make sure it's put somewhere that's not clearly visible from outside of the car or even inside the car too. Make sure you get it hooked up properly so when the handbrake is not engaged it doesn't work, i would think ne1 that installs em these days would make sure to do this but you never know.

  13. spotted a black 33 couple of houses up from my mum's house, had a tiny lil badge in the grill area on the passenger side but couldn't see what it read, don't usually see any skylines down her street but they took off before i could see who was driving it, sounded nice though
