  1. i like it. looks alright imo. except back wheels sit too far in with wider guards would need a better offset but other than that nice car to buy with all the outside done already!
  2. As title says i have a Turbosmart "Supersonic" Blow off valve for sale. Reason for sale is swapping to a plumb back model and something a bit more subtle. Valve has adjustment for hard/soft setting and i may supply with adaptor for a bit extra feel free to make an offer. PM me for pics if interested and i'll be more than happy to send. Contact Steve on 0431 108 486 or PM if interested. Location: Townsville, Qld. Cheers.

  5. As title says, I have for sale an Apexi SAFC version 1 for sale. This unit has served me well to get from the point of mild mods to now needing a proper ecu and i recommend it for all people running factory management as it really does improve the performance! Comes with loom and stand and din pocket modified to house the safc. Will put pics up when i get a chance. Looks really nice in the dash and has bright blue display at night. Search up on the features of it for more information. Price. $200+ post FIRM i don't care about ebay/your friends cousins uncle selling one cheaper mine is $200 + post:) Contact via PM please. Steve.
  6. How much does it cost to transfer plates these days?? And also to get the style changed?? Anyone know
  7. Well they certainly did a good job considering the original box and the bosch engraving on the pump:p ha ha good luck!
  8. Hey guys i have this up for sale again. The trust exhaust is mild steel and 3.5" from the cat converter, into a trust muffler (badge on muffler for proof) and then out the back in two cannons. Has removable silencers in it. Really nice exhaust note and non restrictive. Asking $200 for this. I did have another pic showing the Trust badge on the exhaust but not sure where it's disappeared to. Will freight at buyers cost will be around 60-70 delivered door to door through greyhound buses but give me your postcode so i can confirm if you're genuinely interested. Item is in Townsville, Qld. Contact via pm or 0431 108 486. Steve.
  9. I assume there's no left and right to these? i'm only after one seat if someone else wants to split... pm me if keen! Steve.
  10. I have these wheels on my car. With a bit of tlc they look really really nice! Definitely a bargain at that price for some rays nismo lmgt1's with good tread! I'd buy as a second set however will be different offset..
  11. It's hard to get 6 together... if you want 4 then find someone with 4 as that's what most people will have... Then perhaps someone like me when time comes around can get 6 together:p
  12. Err well it's not as dark as you would think and it takes all of a few moments to get used to it. Most places you drive at night have street lights anyway... therefore don't notice it. If you went somewhere that didn't have street lights it doesn't matter if you have crystal clear windows or 5% tint. Unless you can see in the dark that is can you?
  13. lol perhaps you should share so other people don't repeat your actions
  14. He said he only want 230kw not 300kw and an externally gated turbo requires a new manifold and 100 other things. Imo you have two reliable options.... 1. Get a decent quality highflow <1000 2. Get a hks gtr-s >2000 And be careful most of those "t04e's" are old and crapped out or not genuine afterall.
  15. 2.5inch is way too restrictive for the amount of exhaust gas you need to expel on a modded turbo car. 3inch or 3.5inch but the latter will most likely be quite loud which i don't think you'll want. I don't think you can even buy off the shelf 2.5" kits for skylines so you would have to get one custom made and it would cost more than a 3", be more restrictive and thus inhibit performance. I also think it's kinda odd that your mate only has a 2.5" exhaust i'd be surprised if it wasn't actually a 3". Steve.
  16. It won't make anywhere near 350 at the wheels... and if it does it will only make it once and put a mushroom in the bonnet............... I reckon you could get 270-280rwkw on 18-19psi if you get a good tune and everything goes well. Those turbo's are good for power perhaps not as responsive as a 28 series but will still be a quick street car with a decent seat of the pants feel which is what we all like afterall. Provided you don't cain the arse out of it everynight it will last no probs.
  17. This has been covered many times and there's even a tutorial in the tech section on how to do it with a greddy style plenum. A lot of people claim to have no noticeable difference between the stock one. There really is no reason to change the stock side facing plenum until you start making some serious horses (400hp) other than looks and making it easier to work on your car (changing spark plugs etc). There was a reason nissan put it on... even and smooth flow to each cylinder and probably something to do with equal pressure in each of the runners as well. As for modding the standard one to a forward mount, i would avoid this option as it's been proven that cylinders 5 and 6 can be starved for air with this style. If you want a really good quality forward facing plenum try one of the following: Plasmaman JPC Greddy But to answer your original question, no there is nothing wrong with changing to a forward facing plenum. If you want one go for it... Just do it properly and don't skimp on one. Cheers.
  18. Oh and if you're going to run more than 10psi anyway you should have at least a tuned piggyback computer otherwise the extra psi will do nothing but make the turbo work a lot harder and risk blowing it.
  19. Same as an r33 i think you'll find. 5psi low and 7psi high running off the standard boost solenoid. Max boost is debateable but a general rule is 10psi safe... anything after that it's a time bomb and be prepared to replace your turbo. I had mine set to 12psi thinking it was safe... went out on a cold night and took off up a hilly climb... it spiked and the exhaust wheel decided to leave the rest of the turbo behind. Best to do a search i'm sure this has been covered before. Cheers.
  20. Hmmm yeah i think the cas might be alright and it's something else. As said above if it's 180 out or whatever it should just crank and crank and then pop one off i know from experience ha ha. Why doesn't an auto electrician want to touch it? Too many possibilities and no idea where to start or...
  21. Lol have you tensioned up all your belts?? If your cars not blowing smoke and the turbo's still producing boost then i'd say your turbo will be fine. A stuffed turbo noise is terrible and you will know it's the turbo straight away. Easy solution though... pull off your intake pipe and check the play on the turbo and see if the wheels spin easily. I still think it's something else though!
  22. ah yeah i don't know anything about gtr turbo's but i would daresay they dont have the 45v"x" and would have something completely different as they're smaller turbo's and there's two of them. Sounds to me like he's talking about a gtst. Please advise.
  23. just changing the air filter won't change a thing... it's everything after that that can make a difference to how the car runs.. so if the "power intake" is just the pod filter that bolts onto the afm then i suppose you took it off to make it easier... make sure the hose clamp that connects onto the afm is on properly and that the clip is on properly. The car will idle and just run with the afm plug disconnected but not past about 2000rpm so that's the issue. You shouldn't have had to reset the ecu anyway.
  24. hmm nah i think u'l find it's a nylon one dude. I'll put a pic of my blown series 2 turbo with single blades if you like. I bet you'll find it's the same.. If it's definitely been there forever then it's not going to be a steel one:) The steel ones are twin blade anyway. 45v3 means jack squat except which casting it came out of nothing to do with type of wheel/model of car.
