Yes that is the size you want. If you're not using that hole in ur intake i would definitely be saying to block it up. Besides you can probably hear a weird noise coming from it as well as the thought of unfiltered air entering ur engine. No a retune should not be required as he should have already input higher than 14psi to begin with for this exact reason as well as boost spiking etc etc. Imagine a line of best fit curve of your boost compared to your afr's already. He should have been able to input what the afr's for that boost would be without actually having to be at that boost especially since it's only 2psi more. Always best to ask the tuner as he is the one that would know what he's set etc.

I had two of mine blow because the dwell on the computer was incorrectly set. I had never heard of anyone blowing any before mine but now i guess i'm not the only one:p Do u have the coilpack cover off? I'd be leaving that off anyway...

Depends if they have the same offset and if the front ones scrub. Personally i'd just leave them as they are. Maybe drop the tyre pressure down to about 20psi if you really feel the need. Most important thing is to not get too excited and drop the clutch. I find the best thing to remember is to take a full second to release the clutch otherwise you're just going to wheelspin hard everytime. If you drop the clutch quickly and spin the wheels you've wasted that run. Also the reaction time isn't the end goal so the time only starts counting once you break the lights. (Hence big turbo auto's etc waiting for ages to get on boost off the line). It's all in good fun so don't take it too seriously if you don't run great times remember yoú will be 5 times better every time u go.

for anyone interested these plenums are $399 and adapters are about $80 from supercheap. They all come polished.

I used to have an extremely loud twin exhaust on my car and i changed to a trust power extreme 2 and i swear it has more power than previous and is mouse quiet. It does sound tough although that's not always a good thing if the boys are around...

So now that there is no line running from the plenum to it... and the standard computer is no longer in... it will always just sit on 0?

A what? Sounds like nonsense to me. All you need is the computer and the loom and to wire it into your existing loom via instructions off apexi. You can put it in without a tune just don't touch the settings part except to change it to a 6 cylinder (don't touch the air/fuel ratios). The rest is done when u take it in for a tune.

generally the japanese (hks,nismo etc) yellow injectors are 555 or 550cc ones although it would be unreasonable to think that this would apply to all yellow injectors. Best thing to do would be to get a part number off one of them and go from there..

Ummm i thought the rx7 were a different spray pattern to rb's. eg rx7's being more of a spread/mist than rb's. Don't take my word for it.

I use it on my dump pipe. Stinks for 100kms or so till it burns off the bit of oil or whatever is in it. Many people say it's a waste of time. At the end of the day... there might be better ways to heatproof stuff like hpc coating for example but if you've got it already then might as well use it. Just use hose clamps i don't think they need to be anything special although they do sell specific ones but i think that's just because they're narrower. Only thing that you could do that you wouldn't have to fix down the track.

Hey i did a quick search but didn't find anything. Where does the standard r33 dash boost gauge get its signal from? The factory map sensor near the brake master cylinder or.... I haven't really looked at it since i put the microtech in and now where that sensor used to run off i now run to the computer. Looked at it the other day and realised it just stays on 0. It's a pretty useless gauge anyway but yeah just curious. Cheers.

I remember 2 years ago i did a formal in mine with two mates in their white 33 skylines (one was a gtr) and we were turning more heads rocking up together than all the oldschool cars were. Mind you it was probably just the noise coming from the gtr (370awkw with straight through exhaust)

Borrow someones fat wheels (20's or the like just so it turns heads) and drive the nicest out of the 32 and 33 you have. Then when ya get to the front hop out and get ya date out and let ya mate drive the car round the corner. But then again prob easiest to just jump in the evo lol.

I've been pulled over a few times but most of the time it's just RBT or license coz i'm out in the middle of nowhere at crazy hours of the morning. In saying that most times they don't even take notice of what car it is. My first car was a non turbo vl and i got pulled over pretty much everytime i went out for a cruise and they wanted to look at everything. I believe most cops are smart enough to know a modified import when they see one however because they're generally not THAT old they believe most of the time they're safe eg brakes and suspension actually work etc (compared to an 80's or earlier car) and as long as you're not attracting attention they won't bother you. That's my experience.. If you drive like miss daisy there's no reason u should get pulled up.
