  1. Ofcourse the problem is once you get dem wide rims, need to do dat suspension so it doesn't look mexican.. Looking at MCA coilovers, Australian company
  2. Nah those studs would make it hard still ?
  3. Yeh I dont think much since 2008 really lol One issue is finding shops that tune Cobb, not as many as expected in Melbourne but the big subie shops all do it. I don't mind the OEM style, they're just sunk in the guards and hard to clean.. not a fan of spacers too. Going to increase 1" width.. stock 19x8.5 and what I'm looking at is 19x9.5 +35 not sure what offset stock is. Then maybe just transfer the tyres to the new rims unless I can get a good deal on some Nitto Invos or something.
  4. Got the same issue with the Subie, want to get a few things done at a shop.. 2 month minimum booking time, don't even know where or what I'll be doing for work next week so makes it hard to get it done! Nearly pulling the trigger on the new Work emotion T5R, apparently the lightest in the emotion range and love the 5 spoke design, multiple spoke / mesh rims can get f**ked too hard to clean!
  5. Saw Jasons R33 GTST the other day at Tuned meet, the thing looks pretty sweet all blacked out with the big CF wang. Nice high mount hypergear turbo setup too
  6. Doesn't surprise me, remember it being a bit laggy and squirmy once coming on full boost!
  7. I should buy my brothers 33 GTST that's been sitting outside the parents joint for the last 6 years rusting away.. I think it's missing an engine and exhaust only, he would have 30k in it and just looks like a heap of shit now ? Those poor advan TC3 wheels look like rusty shit too now
  8. Dat Skyline tax, paid less than 1400 for my new STI & my old FPV!
  9. RACV ftw They seem the best I've had to deal with anyway.. Everyone raves on about Shannons but every time I get a quote its way too much
  10. Remember when you could buy R32 GTRs for around that money.
  11. weren't they meant to have brembos? looks decent enough though, FG XR6T are near on the 10k mark now too ❤️
  12. Lol this is the only thread i check on here, isn't the forum slowly becoming less active anyway? Went to the tuned meet yesterday.. holy shit there was a lot of cars, would of been a 1 hour + wait in the queue to drive in so I just parked outside. Never seen such a big meet.
  13. How about those local sports teams
  14. Lol but its 90s / 00s JDM bro!!!! 50% extra value
  15. that reminds me i need to dust off the ol bike & charge the battery
  16. they will become the next Xr6T / GTST / VX Commo (LS1) ? where are you working these days?
  17. Probably based largely on 0-100 and lap times like those magazines are always about the numbers. Edit: just saw the article & yeh 35% of score points are based on power Can't measure the 'soul' and 'flair' of the STI ? like I said both the Golf R and RS are quicker cars From what I see everyone's scared of buying modded 2nd hand STI's scared of the ringland failures or whatever! I'm still fairly impressed I got ~60% back for a 6 year old Ford, just checked only 14 GS Supercharged Sedans in Autralia.. still listed for high 20s to high 30s ? I imagine the Mustang resale will begin to be shit as there's thousands already on carsales
  18. I only considered Mustang / Focus RS / Golf R / STI as they're all in the price range. Golf R would of been my choice if I was 50 probably, they're real sophisticated, and auto. AMG / BMW / AUDIs love them but yeh not in the same price.
  19. No stock height, wondering how bad air bags handle or if that's a myth..? maybe one day, spent too long looking at Instagram STI builds ? If you want to go fast around a track, the Focus RS is slightly quicker (talking 1 second around winton etc.) BUT that mostly comes down to the better tyres on it.. it should be quicker in a straight line 350ish hp vs 305hp or whatever it is. If I wanted the faster stock car I would of got the RS. But I got the STI because I preferred the interior (apart from the RS seats were slightly better) but the interior gauges are shit on the RS compared to STI, and other interior parts + sunroof I wanted. Also STI because I think it looks better, the better sound & could easily add a tow hitch for my dirt bike trailer, the RS has a big middle exhaust muffler which would make it difficult or impossible. I kind of liked the 90s turbo lag feel and characteristics the STI has as well, the RS doesn't have that with it's fancy engine ? The head gasket issues at the time were still a little unknown, wouldn't have the balls to tune it probably. The RS does have better infotainment though definitely, the funny thing is the GF has a Focus ST now, so nearly best of both worlds, but yeh her infotainment much better than mine. Both great cars.
  20. Join the subie fam have you got mud flaps yet? also can recommend the OEM weather shields & arm rest extension
  21. Liquid R Good bloke went there for a quote but never got my paint protection done.. it's on my to do list. But yeah really good detailer & setup he has. Also sup bro
  22. So what's everyone's returns looking like this year? Inb4 dezz 50k in deductions for supercharger kit to carry work tools ? ~4k back for me, cant complain! will 100% be going straight on car mods
  23. CS:GO is 90% the same shit as CS 1.6 The only difference is graphics, people have skins on their guns (which DONT make them perform any better like other PAY2WIN games), buy menu slightly different, maps slightly different. Give it a go don't bother with 1.6
  24. Fair enough, wingman a new mode? Sounds like Dota2, been playing a lot of turbo mode 20 min game rather than 1-1.5hours
