  1. Awesome, thanks for all the feedback, S15's squirters it is. Cheers Burnie! $$$-permitting I may take those 2 from you if zebra dont beat me to it. Otherwise thanks again for your help!
  2. P.S; A little research tells me that they are 440cc injectors...still sustain around 250rwkW you think?
  3. Thanks guys, I would never believed that the squirters on a 2ltr 4-pot are that big! What would you expect to pay for these? And do you know of anyone who has run them before? I'd be keen to know their limits, naturally, without finding out the hard way!
  4. This question may seem a little jewish, but here goes... Are there any injectors that are standard equipment on another car that would work well as an upgrade for a mildly modded 33 GTS-T? Further more, any truth to the rumour that XR6T injectors will work? I understand that the 33 has 'side-feed' units, am not sure what the XR has, but any input would be great. I am aiming loosly at around 250rwkW, not fussed, but dont want to starve things.
  5. Hey guys, gotta fix the horrid noise in my pass side front wheel, the bearings are shot to shit, I work at autobarn and the cheapest I could find listed bearing sets for my R33 was $80, my price! (10%above cost) Does anyone know if there is another set that suits a different car or anything that will fit and be reasonably priced??
  6. I would be real interested to see where this goes, as per my thread a few months ago, I found no cheap solution other than buying a GTR mechanical diff. Even then there may be a few fine details I am blind to. I thought that it was the fault of a hyuadralic solenoid that was causing the probs, but it would seem that this is a common prob, that not even my friends at a local workshop could put a finger on. Am watching and listening intently.....
  7. On e-bay at the moment there is a GTR coil pack cover selling for $100. Could someone tell me real quick wether this will screw down between the covers on my 25? I think i have seen some off these on 33 GTS-Ts before, but I wonder wether they also had the GTR cam covers. I have 2 days to figure this out!
  8. Thanks Guys, having seen them in a range of colours i thought it may have been a DIY thing. Thanks again!
  9. Hey Guys! Can anyone tell me where I could find the illuminated SKYLINE garnish that fits under the boot lid but between the taillights of the R33. Not sure of which model this came about in, but my ol' boys N/A R33 has it and it looks trick! It glows an aqua-blue colour when the parkers are on. I have seen a S1 GTR in a mag with this same garnish. Any help sourcing one would be great! Thanks L33igh.
  10. Hey Silent!! Remember where Mildura is?? send me one too bro!! ;P Will call you thursday night if your number is the same...! Leigh.
  11. Hey guys, sorry for the long time to reply. I have found no answer to the A-LSD prob, the hydraulic guys found that most of the working parts on the diff ie solenoid are encased in the pump and pressure vessel housing so with out a full dissassembly we may never know how to cure the "VN commodore" diff prob. I have however been lucky enough to stumble upon a genuine nismo locker + half shafts ex-plated GTS-T....for $600! Im not goin to waste my time with the A-LSD, from all reports they are a lazy drift or track diff anyway. Maybe once I have the other diff I will disassemble A-LSD and play with it, seeing as though it will no longer immoblise my car. More on that when diff arrives!
  12. Still no closer to making A-LSD a "good" LSD, I could only find an exploded view of a Z32 300zx diff at my local, Nissan dealership. Assuming that these are primeraly the same diffs + hydraulic actuators, shimming will help, but not solve the problem, as Matty has pointed out, these are hydraulically actuatted and not mechanically. I have my car booked in at a hydrualics workshop over the weekend, I'll keep you posted on what they find.
  13. Hmmm...to fix or not to fix....that is the question....I have been offered a complete diff, carrier and all, with a 2-way KAAZ center for $1000 plus my diff in exchange. My fear is that this guy is swapping with me because he has found it basically 'unstreetable', and or it is damaged, (as its not in the car I cant test drive it) maybe pre-loads not set correctly if he did the transplant himself?...Are there common problems with these diffs I should know about before shelling out the cash for this deal, and is it a good one at that?
  14. Thanks Matt! You have confirmed alot of what I have learnt so far. As far as Im aware, the diff does have have an ABS style sensor as per GTR transfer case, which samples at 100 times per second, sensing loss of traction, and delivers a pulse to a solenoid which in turn applies hydraulic pressure to the diff. (As read in a HPI mag some time ago) This in theory sounds like the perfect set up for a jekal and hyde diff!! Will drive Bessy to the bowling green gently round corners and when coaxed it will lock up and haul arse sideways!....maybe its too good to be true. It would seem that the 1.2mm shims that I bought to shim the diff are now useless to me, so I am now pinning my hopes on a mate of mine who works for a hydraulic firm here in Mildura. He too believes that I have a crook solenoid and is going to pull the system apart on a test bench and sort it all out. I'll keep you posted. If all goes pear shaped, does anyone know where to find a reasonable priced KAAZ or Cusco, (or equivelant) 1.5way LSD. ...and a final question....is there any extra skill required to drive a 2-way on the street?
  15. 20's would surely offer a harsh ride and make tyre choice difficult? ie:Load rating ect... Maybe coilovers will offset the hight difference and harsh ride mentioned above. What are the 20's your considering? I am considering one of two wheels for my Series 2 33. Starcorp Impul rims in staggered set (18 or 19") x 8.5"F and 9.5"R. Or Axis Hiro's in 18 or 19" @ 9.5"F and 10.5"R. Excellent dish with both rims, hopefully 10.5" will fit under rears guards of GTS-T. Anyone have pics of a 33 with these rims on?? Both of the rims I am looking at are listed on tempetyres.com.au site.
