  13. I'm with you spedy. Its the first minijam I have attended and i thought it was pisspoor. I guess if you were in to rotors it would be heaven, Quick damn cars but anything that sounds like that is just farkin ugly imo. Noice pics Adam. There were a few nice gtr's and a couple of sweet gtst's there too. That chamelion green 33 in the far corner of the show and shine was one sweet ride as was that chamelion gtr in your pics.

  15. I'm getting 13.7s with all the gear left in and 274/293 rwkw(depends on who's dyno you believe) tyres down to 20 lb and launch at 4200 rpm. Willowbank sticks like shit to a blanket so it bites pretty damn good and just goes. Any more revs and i go up in smoke. much less and it bogs down. Just practice your driving style. Play with your tyre pressures. Draggin is not street running. The little things you do on a strip can all play a part in lowering your et. Gear change is critical, Get it through the gate as quick as you can and experiment with your shift points. I get my best results swapping cogs at 6500 rpm. any more and my times are slower. A skyline drivetrain can easily handle anything you can dish out at 200 kw's so dont be afraid to give it some. There are cars running with double my horsepower on stock drive trains and hard launches and i havnt seen one break yet. Not to say that it wont happen but hey! you wanna go draggin you have to be prepared to accept the odd failure.
  16. I dont own a gtr and as such I dont have a horse in this race but i have done a bit of 1/4 mile stuff over the years. If you want to launch hard there are ways to do it and still minimise strain on the drive train. Forget the handbrake. You need to look for second too quick to be friggin around with that. Learn to heel and toe your brake and loud pedal. have the drive train loaded and just hold it against the brake. That way you are not coming off freeplay in the drive train. When the time comes to launch just move your feet goofy style. left foot goes left off the clutch and right foot goes off the brake and full on the throttle. This way leaves you with one less thing to think about (handbrake) and you are more ready for that quick pop in to second. Works for rwd as well as awd.
