  1. hey wat throttle body do u run with the greddy style plenium ?

    80 or 90mm ?

    also for those with aftermarket comps do u use the MAF sensor ? or do i need a Q45AFM or a Z32 afm ?

    also

    i need to know what turbo + manifold i should get ? - high mount or lowmount in a R31 skyline.

    internal or external waste gate?

    i was considering this.

  3. its heaps confusing hey...

    well anyways heres wat i did as a little experiment... how safe or dangerous it might of been i dont care...

    i marked up exactly up where the CAS was positioned it was about half / 3/4 of the way advanced... im running 100octane... so i fully advanced the cas as far as it could go... took it for a drive high revs 1st thru 2nd slowllyy holding them sorta thing not like power ON n then offf it seemd quicker i guess had more of a bark to the exaust note and made a few smoother and other weird noises n stuff...

    and then i fully retarded the timming just to see how it went WOW 3000rpm n then nothing wouldnt rev as to speak... like it was struggling and the exuast was going crazyyy pop cittyy and they were the loudest pops ive ever herd come from it...

    anyways also my idle has been kind of high and i can tell that the computer is always adjusting for it... so while the car was at a hot runnign temp i turned in the idle vac screw just a little bit so on my needle it sits at wat i believe is 800rpm..

    as soon as u rev the engine and back off the idle falls to 1500 and then slowly dies to 1200 and then 1000 but u can tell its still revving a bit high... so i think by putting it to 800 like that it will fix it..

    altho it will be interesting to see wat my cold starts will be like because it seemed from turning off n starting the car that it was struggling a little bit... maybey the ecu has to learn this ?

    but what i was asking was since reading the service manual it doesnt mention a timming light at ALL i have one but i have no idea where to plug it into...

    it says u need a diagonistics controller and u plug into the TPS and then u plug into the unit at the back of the head... and u dial in the numbers on this unit... and then u adjust the CAS accordinly...
