  3. Sorry for the late reply

The coolent in the throttle body is to stop it freezing when in sub zero deg temps!!

I am talking about -10 and colder!!

So it is NOT required in Australia!!

    Just for example

The lowest temperature ever observed in Japan was -41 degrees Celsius (-42 degrees Fahrenheit), recorded in Asahikawa in January, 1902.

Keep in mind that the intake temps on a (street aka no ice boxers) turbocharged car are normally between 10 to 20 deg hotter than the air temp (depending on setup)

  4. Also what exhaust do you have? 3" all the way? Cat?

Some people don't agree but I install a decat pipe when ever I do exhaust upgrades.

I find the car seems much more rev happy with out them! Assuming the rest of your exhaust is good!

You can get silicone intake pipes for about $60 of eBay might be something to think about?

Filter is it a good brand? And clean? You would be surprised at how much hp you can loose with a dirty one!

These are the things I would check first and then play with the boost until it holds 19psi to redline

  5. How is the boost controlled?

The boost curve is much nicer in the first graph Nice and flat with slow creap!

The second graph looks nice but the falls away too early for my liking so as menchioned only running about 16psi in the top end!

Maybe the exhaust cam has been retarded too far? Causing it to be really strong in midrange but fall over too early! Maybe 6deg and if you could hold the Higher boost too the red line that power figure would grow?

But as said the second tune would have more useable power!

(I am not a tuner just my personal opinion!)

    :)

  6. I have just bought a set of ID2000cc's and I was warned to be careful when buying E85!!

I was told to only ever use a ethanol BP98 mix!!

Apparently there are some blend where the ethanol is mixed with other types of fuel (sorry I can't remember what it was)

But I was told that the ID's don't like this and fail in the closed or partly closed position causing the engine to lean out and some times POP!!

  7. I was going to get a HKS twin power unit and replace the stock coil pack loom because it's looking pretty shitty!

But I just seen this on nengun!!

Has any one had any experience with one of these new splitfire D spark max units??

I'm keen to hear about them because they come with a loom to replace the stock coil pack loom as well!!

I have split fire coil packs and don't have any problems yet! But I'm aiming for about 650HP on E85 and want to make sure I don't run into any problems!!
