  1. Up for sale is my 1999 R34. Specs: RB25DE Neo engine. 5 Speed Manual Isotta Indiana front seats Autometer Gauges - Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Volts Lowered King Springs all round. 19" Lenso Katana rims - 19x 8 and 19x 9.5 (i think cant remember!) KYB front shocks Apexi Power FC GTT Fuel Injectors Walbro 500hp fuel pump Custom extractors 3" Trust stainless steel cat back exhaust Impul side skirts and rear bar CM4 front bar 2 tone black and white paint 7" screen DLS 12" sub DLS 2x amps DLS front splits DLS 2 way rear speakers custom air intake there is more but cant remember all of it right now the reason for selling (as much as it hurts) is that im slightly over the car, it hardley gets taken out anymore and i would rather someone enjoy it on a daily basis than having it sit in my carport all day doing nothing. the car is always maintained with Martini Racing. and is a well known car throughout the SA car show scene. I am asking $25,000 for her, but am open to offers, this is a car you dont really have to do anything to, just get in and drive!! no time wasters or tyre kickers please. Cara 0466 481 820
  2. nah no list as such but if you check out the photos from the event (s) http://hightorquephotos.smugmug.com that will give you an idea of what was there on the day everything and anything is welcome
  3. its street cars. we were allowed to have super street (an ANDRA bracket) competitiors, but none showed up (due to slamfest being on this weekend). the meeting held up at tailem are based primarily for street cars. you are allowed to run slicks though if you so choose.

  5. entry forms are available now, if you would like one please let me know and i will email it to you
  6. poor kid........done nothing wrong in life to deserve cancer....
  7. thats fine josh but at least this event puts money to a much needed organisation rather than someones pocket. and you will find a few of those cars will make there way up to tailem anyway.
  8. shouldnt matter what it is andz.......its for a good cause and a good day out to have some fun.
  9. my other half runs a 10.5 in his street VY..........jeturbo has a little bit of catching up to do. but anyway im not arguing about this. if he is as good as what he says he is then he should come and prove it. and support the day in raising money for kids cancer.
  10. thats ok i find it quite amusing that he is only running a 11.75 over the quarter LOL this event will be supporting Kids Cancer as well....
  11. jeturbo if you have nothing constructive to say can you please refrain from commenting.
  12. its both Steve, two lanes. Dial your own racing is very fair. it provides close competitive racing at a level you nominate (your quickest ET). The slowest car out of the pairing will always leave first, and then the faster car will have to catch up once they are able to leave the line. An ET is your time that it takes from when you leave at the staging lights, to when you cross the beams at the finish line. For street cars for this event, the quickest you will be able to run will be a 7.70, and for ANDRA Super Street Licence holders their time is a 7.00. This is over the eighth mile.
  13. 1/8th mile (like the other meetings held there), and yes it is timed and you will get time slips after each run. there is also a chance to run dial your own against your friends. will confirm maximum numbers soon

More info to come soon guys, its a GREAT day out, no stress and race ya mates Cheers

  19. Pete alot of the old school drag racers are bringing their cars out (or new ones) and racing 1/8th mile.......Mark Lee is one in particular. he was former australian super sedan champion, winning many gold trees. bradley hicks, bruce mchendrie, bill crosier, simon barlow, darren kellaway, angleo efthimiou, toni keating...... these are all "old school" racers that have raced at AIR, plus other 1/4 mile tracks that are now supporting 1/8th mile in south australia and victoria. the advantages of 1/8th mile over 1/4 mile racing are the following: its more exciting racing as there is no recovery time if a mistake is made, which generally makes the results closer. there are very few, if any, oil downs. (non stop action basically) the cost of running 1/8th mile is alot cheaper than 1/4mile, for example, for Gary Busch to race at willowbank it would cost him $20,000 compared to $2000 for 1/8th mile at mildura.
  20. yeah yeah yeah get off my case about it this is quite an inncorrect statement to make here Pete, 1/8th mile is now becoming quite popular, especially with the regional tracks. the atmosphere is alot different to the bigger tracks, and a lot more drivers are now coming to the regional tracks to either test, or compete with their cars. like i said the Doorslammers have their own competitive meetings, the closest to us being Mildura and Portland. Gary Busch had a supercharged Pontiac funny car which has the track record at mildura (just recent at the last meeting for the season, where he ran a 4.01 @ 181 mph), and portland which i think may also be a 4.01. the big boys are now certaintly taking note of these really good regional tracks and are attending the events. whyalla for example cannot hold doorslammers just yet as there barriers are not the right height for it (unlike mildura and portland), but has had pro stcok there for their first meeting last december. it shows support. which is positive, which is currently more than what a lot of people are doing right now. i seriously recommend you go to a 1/8th mile track such as whyalla, mildura or portland and see the support that these tracks get. the doorslammer meetings have been known to get up to 5000 people. its amazing it really is. so please dont bag it - either go and try it or go watch at least!
  21. and if this stupid carbon tax goes through........holdens may end up overseas so there goes my job and alot of other peoples jobs too
  22. yeah mate thats me. you gonna enter my next dyno day when i get around to organising another one ??? drag skyline slowly slowly. not rushing it gonna be fair busy this next drag season with my photography and journalism but hoping to get some money aside to work the new engine going in a bit. all costs money unfortunatley got a fair bit on with official media for South Coast Raceway & Sunset Strip next season. Plus going to Steel City as long as it doesnt clash with South Coast dates....all in all should be a good season coming up 1/8th mile all the way I recommened all you girlies who are bagging it to grow some balls and go try it. All the fun stuff happens in the first 200m anyway... Stop bagging it out, show some support and maybe one day we might have the 1/4 mile track....until then with no support the government will see that and we will still continue to have no 1/4 mile track.......it comes down to all of you!
