  1. hey all i hope someone ca help me solve this mystery. the other night i decided to see how my car would go at really high speeds (now im talkin i got up to 170k) the car did well, held it togther nicely, but............i threw it into neutral to put less strain on the engine as i slowed down.........then she stalled. f*** knows why!?? Im thinking maybe it was cause she was at such high rpm????????? please help! this is so weird! cause the the highest i can go is 180 km so i dont understand why!!!!
  2. in my opinion there is less things that can go wrong!! hhehehehe! no replacing of expensive turbos when they decided to go!!!! and better fuel consumption too, unless you drive hard, which i tend to do sometimes, but my girl can handle it pretty well.

  6. my r34 gt is now doing 119.9kW at rear wheels. just got extractors put on so going back in a couple of weeks (to allow ecu/sensors to adjust and do its funky thing). my car can now breathe!!!!!

  9. why not get underbody neons? this car is turning into a show car (and staying my daily driver) and plus its only gonna b the only neons ive got on the car!!! i got the extractors custom made from exhaust technology here in adelaide. i paid $680 for them to be made and fitted.
  10. ive replaced the parkers got white bulbs in now and today i brought some brighter (and white) globes for the normal lights. want to get blue underbody neons eventually too!!!!
  11. hey eug, ive asked to take some pics before the put them on and when they are on the car. the lady i was talking to originally reackons i might even get a increase of 15kW. i wont know until tomorro arvo! then all will be revealed!
  12. Hi all here is a quick update on my R34 GT Skyline, "RUNVS2". I got the window tinting done (finally), and extractors are being put on today and tommorrow (custom) its gonna be interesting to see what she puts out tomorow afternoon. Body kit is FINALLY going on from monday of next week. will post kW results tommoro.
  13. ive had my r34 for 7 months and had 3 coils go on me. in the end i replaced all of them with splitfires. its too costly too continue to replace each coil as they go. my r34 n/a has done 67,000. the last 2 times i lost the coils the car would be running on all 6 cyclinders, then lose a cylinder then gain it back etc. those two coils where showing a greater heat resistance to the others. hope this helps!
  14. Here's my n/a girl! pumps out 118 kW @ the moment! and thats with a cat back exhaust, splitfire coilpacks (gained 7kW just from them) and a cold air intake system. Also getting an Impul body kit put on in a couple of weeks too!!!!

  16. its just gonna be one of thinks that i wont know until i get the fuel into the car and give it a couple of weeks and hopefully the car will get that 7 kW back. i wanna be able to show people that n/a cars can still get a decent amount a kW, in the sense of being n/a of course.
  17. i paid $20,000 for my 2 door r34 non turbo. inlcuded getting it converted to manual in japan, getting to australia, complience, gst, stamp duty, 12 mths rego.....

Hi all here is a little scenario for you that i am currently in, last year my r34 gt put out 118 kW after putting on a stainless steel catback exhaust (it was doing 101 kW fully stock), at the time i was using bp ultimate in the car, not long after that i changed the fuel and started to use shell/coles v-power, both are premium unleaded, yesterday i got splitfire coilpack installed, before getting them put in though we did a power run to see what the car was putting out so i could then work how much kW she gained from them, low and behold the car was only doing 111 kW. i couldnt understand why it dropped 7kW in under 5 mths. anyways it has gained back that 7 kW through the spiltfire coilpacks. (when if the car was still running at 118 kW it should be sitting at 125 kW at the moment). in the long run we came to the conclusion that because i had changed fuel companies from ultimate to v power this has had an effect on the power coming out of the car. so has anyone else noticed a change in there power from changing fuel companies? the thing to do now is: run down the tank of v-power currently in the car, fill up the bp ultimate end of next week, keep using ultimate for a few weeks then take the car back down to the dyno and see what happens!
  19. i was told i can get custom made extractors done for about 1200, is this a good price or way to much?
  20. eventually, its on the list but ill probably get a whole new set of suspension and use them to get it lowered.
  21. yeah it sucks a bit but at least i know everything ive done to the car is covered if anything happens!
  22. actually i still pay nearly 2000 for insurance a year cause im only 23!
  23. yeah ive had to look twice sometimes cause they can be hard to see
  24. just cause its a non turbo dont mean it still aint a good car
