  5. havent put the front bar or bonnet on yet, was driving it around everywhere and its a ****en huge gearbox. it feels really tight and the gears must be huge. the clutch is crazy also.
  6. just finished doing my manual conversion. the auto in my skyline has been defeated. I am now the proud owner of a MANUAL Skyline, and it rocks.

  11. hi in the process of doing an auto to manual conversion and just curious as to what wiring needs to be done. i have a fair idea, but just want someone who has done it before, to either post or pm me with what wiring they did for the conversion. thanks
  12. had exactly the same problem today doing my manual conversion. tried using the grease method. and that failed. so best option was to tac weld a bold onto it and but a socket behind it to to brace the bolt. when you tighten the bolt up the little bugger comes out. it was a prick of a thing. wasted half the day trying to get it out.
  13. and also what type of redline oil for the diff? I'm getting the mt90 shockproof stuff for the gearbox but what for the diff. matty
  14. hi i tried to use the search function but couldnt find the answer. just wondering what the oil capacities are for the dif and manual gearbox for a r33 rb25 skyline. i'm getting redline, btw. matty

  19. thats what i thougt, i can only do it and find out. will keep everyone updated, as i'm sure more people will want to know.
  20. manual is just way better. auto drains to much power and is about .7 to 1 second down the quarter faster. i have a mate who did a 13.6 in a r31, and need to catch him and go faster. and people perfer manuals, for resale.
  21. hi just have some technical questions concerning doing the auto to manual conversion and who has done it before? RB25DET 5 speed from a coupe into a auto 4 door. I wish to retain the standard (well sort of standard in my case) auto computer. things that concern me are the speed sensor? tailshaft for a 4-door - same as a 2 door? or will the auto 2 peice be similar to a manual 4 door? and anything else i should know concerning wiring etc. thanks Matty
