  5. Yeh the bb gcg seems faster spooling and i thinkit is a stronger turbo however ihaven't really driven it much just a quick run than home! i think i will book it in for a retune at mercury. thanks guys just annoying having to get time off work to book the car in and i have been missing boost!

  7. i am not sure how i would get enough air/water pressure to clear the pieces. i could just buy another core from just jap (cooling pro core). i have discovered that my core is a bar and plate ohhh no.... air resistance! i could upgrade to a tube and fin
  8. I would like to look in the cylinder however i don't konw how that is possible without taking off the head. I took off the FMIC and knocked it with a hammer and than pointed the compressor side inlet toward the ground and hit it against the floor... i got two pieces out! how can i blast the FMIC with pressure? air compressor local auto shop?

  11. Hey guys, thanks for you input! i think i will pull the intercooler and all the piping off and do a search for those pieces. I was running a slide highflow 15 psi which dropped to 12 psi with a turbotech T b.controller. I was thinking about doing a diy compression test, oil flush with some cheap oil - good stuff after, change radiator coolant, flushed and cleaned lines for new turbo, and a INTERCOOLER and pipe search. I wil post the picture of the impeller.. i really appreciate the feedback.. thanks again... p.s could i some how look inside the cynlinders? check for bits?
  12. Hey guys, I recently destroyed my turbo due to abuse and too many hot stops. (learnt my lesson) anyways there are bits of the intake propeller (i think it is called an impeller) missing three pieces. two are about the size of a small corn flake so does anyone think they are in the intercooler? or in the engine? (if they are in the engine, how the F should i get it out?) The three piece is thin but longer than the others and my main concern they are sitting in a cynlinder grinding away? Please tell me your opinions.............. feel free to abuse me for destorying a turbo p.s i destoryed a big end bearing before that doing doughnuts? any thoughts would be awesome....

  16. yeh... knocking and grinding now throughout the rev range. yeh injectors are old new walbro pump. gts-4 so not easy to find.. thinking about a rb25 atuo froma stagea

  18. Hey guys, I have a rb20det gts-4 and have recently being using two drive for well.....advanced circular movement. I have recently developed a repeative knocking between 3500 and 4500 rpm in or out of gear. I was wondering if it is the flywheel or maybe something internal with the engine but she revs fine... feels normal. any help would be awesome

  21. Well, i performed a dry compression test today on all 6 cylinders with WOT and warm engine. All came back with 130 psi across the board. I checked the oil cap and there is no excess air and the oil seems to be the right viscosity. Radiator doesn't buddle or have oil in it. The exhaust doesn't imediately give out white smoke the warmer the more the smoke i get. Any ideas anyone?
  22. Well, the rb20 is blown white smoke! so a decision must be made after i find out what is wrong! its either a turbo seal or a small headgasket leak
