If it is a Turbo'd RB25DE.. is there any real big problems with that? Is the block similar to the turbo block? -

SO what we have established here is that there WAS an R33 GTS-4 turbo of some sort..? (a rare one?) -
Auto to manual conversion (starter?)

Well, I'll see what all my engine has when it gets to me and then I'll bump this topic up again. I do plan on doing all of the wiring to run the car on the skyline ecu. Hopefully it works out.. I know it will be damn hard. I'll get it all though, even if I have to piece it together.. Thanks. -
Because it just didn't happen that way. One of the reasons is that this engine seems to be very clean. And it comes with everything a clip would except for the interior harness, cluster, etc. Most clips I've seen don't come with intercooler piping or any of that shit, so I'm not really concerned about having a clip. Plus, do you have any idea how hard it is to get RB25DET clips here in America? lol.... just try to find one from a reputable place. I searched high and low, almost every site I could find had a waiting list for RB25DET clips. ONE site had them, but I would have to wait a loooooong time to have it imported. F that. I'll get everything figured out..

I found this page on a good search. http://www.jbskyline.net/R33/Sedans/ Now what is the GTS25t? Anyways, heres a quote from that site. Confused even more now. I guess the only real way to figure shit out is to live in Japan..... -

So that pic is an R33 GTS-4? I'm not understanding that.. There is such a beast? I've been asking the guy I'm buying it from exactly what it is, and he is telling me that there was an R33 GTS-T with AWD in japan. I really hope my engine is from the stagea though, that would be cool. EDIT: and this last picture you just posted pva_glue, what is that? Basically an AWD RB25DET with attessa? -

You're confusing me here. I have an AWD R33 RB25DET with an automatic transmission. It is an engine swap with a complete harness. It is going into a US spec S13. I live in the US.. no skylines here. Just wondering if there is a way to keep the auto harness and wire this up in the S13. And what is a spoiler? When I think of spoiler I think of a wing on the back of a car.... -

Well it definetely looks like an RB25DET from the top of it.. If it were an RB25DET, would it say "RB25DET" down there? And if it were N/A, would it say "RB25DE" ? I'll ask the guy to look down there and take a picture. -

Warpspeed, thanks for your help with this.. I've also heard that the RB25DET stagea is a bit more powerfull. I hope to god this is it, because that would be one cool thing. It doesn't look like a neo engine either does it? Could it possibly be a R32 GTS-4 setup? I am being told this is R33. And it definetely LOOKS like R33.. because it doesn't look very old. When I get the swap, is there a way of telling for sure or not? I'm familiar with honda's and they all have engine codes on the blocks. Does Nissan do this too in any way? Thanks -

And is there any WIRING issues with keeping the auto ecu? I've heard there is some rewiring. Wondering what it is..... -
If I were to convert the R33 auto engine RB25DET to manual, do I need the auto starter? Is it the same? I searched but could not find. Thanks Also, what else is needed besides for these parts? Flywheel and bolts Clutch disc Pressure plate and bolts Is that about it? And sensor stuff? EDIT: I'm not speaking about the whole car. Just the engine.

R33 Gts-4

Well.. I'm in the US. Skylines are a tad bit scarce here. These pictures are the engine swap I'm buying, which has come from japan. And I really cannot find out exactly what it came from. All I know is that it is an AWD R33 RB25DET automatic. I gather it's either from the Stagea or some sort of GTSt-4. It doesn't really matter, but I have been looking for information on it for a while now. And everytime I mention this engine or show pictures of it to people here in the US (or on a US Nissan forum), they think it has been modified in some way. I'm trying to figure out the truth. I know there was alot of variations of skylines out there.. but I've found no real information on the exact models and editions for each year. It obviously looks stock and unmodified IMO. If it is from the Stagea though.. it is definetely rare. Because what I'm gathering is that there was only one year that the stagea even had the RB25DET AWD, and that was 96. The others were called VQ25DET's.. Who knows. Thanks though. -

It might be an R33 GTS25t or something. Whatever it is, I just want to get a confirmation that it came with an RB25DET AWD auto or 5 speed. I know there is a R33 with an RB25DE that is AWD. But the turbo one I'm trying to get a confirmation on... -
Do they have these in Australia? I have been looking around on certain pages and I'm finding out that there is a such thing as one, in Japan. Can anyone confirm that here? thanks..

Redline, thank you VERY much. I had no idea and I understand completely now. Will there be any check engine lights though? And does anyone have any input on my engine pictures? It is an R33 RB25DET AWD right? Because sometimes other people looking at pictures can find different things. This shit is hard to get info on in america. Thanks though.
