  1. Sorry mate thats wrong, it can only turn a car from awd to rwd for the r32 gts4's as they have electronic controllers, whereas the r33's have hydrological ones. All it does for 33 gts4s is controls how much goes from the back to the front, what ratio: 50/50 60/40 70/30 ...etc.. if its on 0 and you manage to slip the rear wheels it will start at the factory 5% to the front... if you keep skidding it will put more power to the front until the geforces go back to normal.
  2. Ive only read the first post, this one in the quote and BezerkR32's and he couldn't have said it better. I can tell this because you can't just drop in turbo injectors, among other things, they spray more then what your ecu understands for an n/a engine, how will the ecu cope? You need to get any second hand set of injectors spray and flow tested to make sure they are spraying consistently, you need an ecu that can properly control how much fuel to spray vs air and rpms..... You need a new afm because your n/a one wont be able to read how much air the car is sucking in... etc. etc.... get my drift? If you don't have the money to do it properly, either wait, or sell the car and get a turbo. Things that you can do yourself if your a little bit handy to keep the costs down: -Locate all the parts for them so they don't have to stuff around -Install a side or FMIC and piping -Install a boost gauge? Alternatively, you could do more of the labor at home WITHOUT turning the key and then get a tilt tray to take it to the tuners to do the tuning there. I have done this numerous times before and its saved me thousands over the years.
  3. Hey guys, Sorry haven't looked in here for a few days.... last week of uni is always tough. Aes Sedai - I am still not 100% when the movie starts, going to guess around the 9:30 mark though. 4. Lol check http://www.419eater.com/html/trophy_room.htm for inspiration. its not a dodgy site. its actually a really good site to give people some laughs and hopefully deter scammers
  5. Alright, it will be Doncaster. this means: meet at Apple Peel Car Wash -> Doncaster Shopping Centre -> ? Unfortunetly I just checked Sky High's opening times: Open 7 days a week including public holidays Gates open Monday to Friday 9am-10pm Gates open Weekends 8am-10pm so we will need to think of somewhere else to cruise to after the movie. Things I can confirm now: Meet location: Apple Peel Car Wash - 1 Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe Meet Time: 7:00-7:30pm on a Friday, 15th Oct Leaving time: ? - To be finalised - need to check with village guy the starting time, probably leave around 8:00pm though, can chat in Doncaster car park for a bit. Destination: Doncaster Shopping Centre Price: ? - $14 - need to count numbers properly, but that should be right
  6. Let me get me swag, me dog, me hunting knife and 2 slabs of vb, chuck it in me roo - (that'd be a kanga, with a chev badge on er to make er go like f*ck) and i'll find ye bloke ye looking for..... might even take me best mate bob, he's an abo
  7. Hey guys, I spoke to my village contact and there is good news. I told him 99% chance it will prob be Doncaster 1. Tickets for Adults including glasses for 10-20 people is $14, above 20 and I might be able to get abit cheaper 2. I need to tell him on Monday the 11th the exact number of how many are coming. So people who say you are coming have to come! This is because I can prebook seats with my contact. eg. if there is 15 of us I can say middle of the cinema, middle row, 15 people across. We don't have to prepay but there has to be 15 of us at the ticket counter on the Friday night. If people decide to come after the 11th then I can probably get you the discount but unfortunately you probably wont sit with the group. Adam
  8. So far from what I can see of the people who have said "in": 5 for option 1 3 for option 2 2 for don't care +1 extra for option 1 - my mate with the vx give it a couple more days but looks like it is going to be Doncaster Been waiting on a call back from Village, guy has been on leave and should be back tomorrow. Adam
  9. Im using one of those large hybrid fmic copy intercoolers, apparently they come out of the same factory... etc etc... you always hear that... I have never measured pressure drop but its done the job since I had 150rwkw and now at close to 300rwkw still doing its job.... Was 300 bux for the kit including piping so I figured at worst it was not the most expensive lesson if it didnt work.
  10. blankies will not be provided on the night so you will have to bring your own to hide behind I did think about hoyts in the city as less crowds, less people, less cars.. more space for us to park,etc... but my contact is through village, if he cant do much for prices then im happy for wherever is cheaper and more comfy. pic is hilarious!
  11. Be good if you can make it James. You are right about the prepaying thing as im guessing this is going to be big. left a message with the Village guy, see what he can come up with. Adam
  12. Why not make that one day the 15th of Oct?
  13. LOL, funny story, I had a nightmare the other night that seemed so real I swear I was actually upset in my sleep. Reason being I thought someone came into my garage and stole my motor... not the whole car, just the motor.... That piece of metal has probably got about 1/2 a kilo of my skin, blood and tears into her I always park next to a poll, means if some idiot has to open their door on my car they will have to go through the poll first.
  14. Cool, see what you can come up with and I'll do the same with my bloke and whatever is cheaper == win. awesome. Thanks. lol, because most people are busy on a sat night.
  15. I know how you are with parking man well, to be honest i have never parked at crown as my work is close by and always park there when I go to the city, but I figured crowns parking has to be decent, think its a little costly though? someone may know better then me.
  16. Me first I vote 1
  17. Hey guys, after the massive amount of interest for Resident evil thought I would have to try to arrange something for everyone. One thing though, can't be at the drive-ins as it is NOT coming out in 2D, so we will all have to go drive to a normal cinema and sit there eating popcorn next to each other. I haven't spoken to my Village contact about this yet as I just thought of this, so not sure on discounts at this stage. In terms of location there is 2 choices, please post up. I will count them with roughly 10 days - 7 days before the movie to finalise everything. Meet location: Apple Peel Car Wash - 1 Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe Meet Time: 7:00-7:30pm on a Friday, 15th Oct Leaving time: ? - To be finalised Destination: See Below Price: ? - To be finalised Map: Will be provided on the night if needed Choice 1: We drive 10 minutes down the road from Apple peel to Doncaster, then afterwards providing there is decent weather we cruise up to sky high and hopefully take some nice shots. Choice 2: We cruise from apple peel to the city, park at crown, watch movie and then we can decide what to do next.
  18. Is the oil filter on the driver's side, middlish area of the block, sort of under the intake plenum? or is that just 25s? I was thinking about one too as the only problem I have is because it is horizontal I pull it out and try to keep it as vertical as possible but always get couple 100ml of oil spilt. I also only do them up hand tight and can ALWAYS get them off hand tight... another little tip when putting them on... take a small amount of oil on your finger and just run it around the edge of the filter before you put the new one on... you can tighten it in further by hand and remove it easier later on.
  19. I can get 4.8 - 4.9 L perfectly in the middle of the dipstick if I jack up the back/passenger side of the car and drain out everything, I dont think 5L is way out there.
  20. I started out in Bachelor of Computer Science/Bachelor of Computer Engineering, which is what my mate is doing, I dropped engineering and am just doing Bachelor of Computer Science. Yes - Nerd I am
  21. lol baby steps mate.
  22. Thanks for that mate. wonder how many uni students end up trying something like this Interesting. Will let my mate know and see if its something he wants to explore. cheers. Paul, we have emailed the people at datalogit hoping they could give us some more insight into the check sums/etc, basically setting up the connection... havent heard back from them yet. Would you happen to know the sequence of events / values we need to initiate the connection? thanks for the kind words.
  23. Hey guys, Just wanted to know if anyone had a datalogit spare that my mate and I could use for testing for a uni project. Basically what we are trying to do is add a standalone device to the powerfc's ps2 port that will log speed vs rpms, knock, etc... and store the data on it's memory. We then want to be able to plug it into the computer and it will graph all the values. The idea of it is in accidents cops could use the data to piece together an accident (like a plane black box) as well as people could use it for personal entertainment such as graphing their data and then the program will upload it to facebook and people can compare, etc.. The problem we are having at the moment is we cannot get our device to "talk" with the powerfc, we have the serial rs232 port connected between the pc and the device and the device to the powerfc, but cannot "see" the values that are being sent out the ps2 port. If anyone is willing to help it would be greatly appreciated. Please note - this is not for financial gain in any way, nor will we be replicating the device, in the end we just want to get through the course with a pass Adam
  24. Ditto, same year as you, but 3 times the power from factory and still going good they have decent cars down there, the one your looking at looks clean.
  25. Ive tried to measure mine but with a few dints and knocks in it its hard to tell.. somewhere between 3 - 3.5inch + a 2ish inch screamer
