  1. yeah after some more investigations i think the o2 sensor is dead which is ok cuz i hafta put my 3" dump pipe on this week does anyone have one or know where i can get one from. i have called two different autobarns and they said they would hafta order it in at $130 does this sound right??? the car is running ok but i hafta drive 70k to work everyday this week, is it going to do any major damage????

  3. nah the car is running as normal. it could be coincidence that the gauge shits itself but its pritty unlikely. its so strange its almost like the gauge is reading in reverse cuz before its would read normal to rich and now its always full lean and on gear changes flicks to rich then back to lean. im scared that it really is running lean and im gunna blow it
  4. hi thanks for the comment but its a drift air/fuel gauge it i think it just plugs into the ecu do you know where the sensor is located???
  5. hi guys so i did the acc valve cleaning DIY but when i started the car and took it for a drive my air fuel gauge doesn't read properly. it sits on lean and stays there. if i give the accelerator i quick stab it flicks to rick then straight to lean WTF. before the DIY id start the car and the needle would slowly rise up from lean to rich and after its warms up (3 minutes) it works as it should, bouncing all around the place in response to putting my foot on the gas. could it be due to a hose leak or something??? something else i have noticed but its probably irrelevant is that my viper alarm systems remote start and turbo timer also doesn't work but i can still use the remote to lock/unlock the doors. extra info i didnt install the viper alarm or air fuel gauge so i dont know how its setup. thanks in advance for the help guys

  8. hi guys does anyone know of a good person/shop to install my r33 turbo???? i live in airport west and work in moorabbin so it need to be close to one of them??? from what ive been told its going to cost about $300-400 is this correct??

  11. thanks for the info guys, awesome as usual. im gunna take it into a performance shop and get there ideas on the situation aswell. its just that from my experience you guys know more that any shop i have taken the car to seriously. fpr's should be set to 1:1 by default and once its put in it can then be modified right??? i just need the guage side if things so i can see the pressure drop/raise. as the injectors/fuel pump and filter have been done i can only think that fuel is len its does start eaking back to the tank causing me to have to pump the pedal to get it to started. even when it does start it does so very slowly and i can hear each cylinder firing for 3 seconds or so then it picks up and is fine. sometimes i hear a popping sound coming from the engine in that 3 second period as well. whats that?????? skylines, so many problems so little money man i must love my car to put up with this.
  12. Hi Guys, well my stock r32 turbo is on its last legs due to the fact that any + boost applied causes a sound which could only be explained as a the sphincter of the universe stuck in a blender. I have purchased a s2 r33 turbo from a forum member and I’m going to get it put in ASAP. I just have a couple of questions as I need to make sure I don’t forget to buy anything ect. Basically I’m on a very strict budget so I really can’t make any mistakes That’s where you guys come in J My current setup: r32 gts-t 93,000ks manual Rb20det gtr fuel pump serviced stock injectors new plugs pod 3” front pipe back exhaust boost gauge a/f gauge parts to go on 3” split dump pipe flying fuel adjustable pressure regulator FMIC Q1 I have a cold starting issue which causes the car to take 5-6 tried before it starts and I have to flutter the accelerator pedal to get it to lump over else it won’t start. Once the car starts and revs over 2000rpm it idles and drives fine I believe it’s due to low fuel pressure so I have purchased a flying adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge so I can check it out and troubleshoot further. Do you think it is fuel pressure????? Q2 I’m not doing to turbo swap myself so I wonder about cost of install as I need to get the dump put on and the FPR install. (I know the FPR is easy to install but the stock reg screws are threaded and I can’t think of a way to get it off.) Any ideas????? Q3 if I did put the reg on myself what if its set to high can it stuff or blow my engine trying to start it?? Thanks guys hope there is enough info for you please help

  14. hi i just purchased a CONSULT cable to plug my laptop into my 1990 r32 gts-t but its not working. I plugged the exposed pins from the cable into the plug and turned the key onto accessories. I open the software(scantech_nissan) and clicked on ECU FINDER. It runs through a number of strings searching for the ECU but doesn’t find anything. I have also tried 2 different com ports also as im using a serial to USB converter. I know my cars port works because my mechanic used it last week. I have also tried with the car running and 3 other applications e.g. conzult ect. I’m a technical support trainer for an internet provider so I have a good understanding of computer based troubleshooting. At this point I’m of the thought that the cable or circuit board is faulty. Is there anything else I can try to diagnose the problem.
