Hey Guys, i put a r33 turbo on my r32 gts-t a while back but i dont think the mechanic changed over the actuators. does anyone know the difference between the 2? with all the standard mods NO BOOST CONTROLLER i got about 9 - 10 psi which trails to 8psi with an rb20 actuator it should be about 11 - 12 psi due to it being more free flowing. the actuator has a serial number on it ASN79-240611 so is it a rb20 or rb25 actuator?

Help! Rb20 Won't Start After Gtr Injector Install

ive rechecked everything and got the injectors re flowtested so its not that. but for the first post i looked and my hand controller and found the the INJ settings were still at 100% and no correction. will this cause my miss fire? also if i flip over the pfc unit while the car is turned on it makes a ticking noise and the car shuts off. is this a safty of the unit? this is driving my nuts guys but im slowly ticking things off -

i mate of mine has a SM Intergrated boost and fuel pressure gauges and we'ed like to know aswell. also we cant get the record feature working and the instructions are in JAP. any ideas? -
Hey thanks for the offer mate its much appreciated but you are a long way from me and i dont have a car ATM. have you ever heard of a PFC being faulty and causing a miss? i work with computers myself and basically if they are faulty they just dont work or smell very bad hehe. maybe you can answer this. when i pluged in the pfc and start the car all is fine but if i move it at all it makes a ticking noise and the car shuts off. does it have a safety cutoff or somthing?

Hey Guys, ive got i problem with my car and i want to rule out my power fc. the easiest option is to put it into another r32 and see if it does the same thing the pfc is untuned so it will start straight away and a can promise it wont do any damage to your car. all i need to do is let it idle and warm up, if it doesnt start missing its not the PFC im located in tullamarine and work in melbourne CBD im 99% sure its not the pfc but need to rule it out

thanks for the info that makes sense being that the signal wire opens the injector. i have re checked everything and no change but the miss seems to be contained to just the 2nd cylinder and i have ruled out coils and plugs so ill get the 2 injector checked on tuesday. aside from that the car is running mint as it finally starts first time everytime even with the remote start. can wait to get this fixed and tuned -

im glad you got it sorted mate, good to hear. im doing the same thing but my issue is that it started straight with the PFC but as soon as the temp increases i get a bad miss. basically 2 minutes after starting and then its gets really bad on your injector loom were there 2 other wires which share the common 12v feed? i think they are for the temp sensor and TPS. basically i put the 6 injector wires through the resistor pack and then joined the power wire from the pack and the 2 extra wires to the common 12v on the loom. so it looks like the pic attached it shouldnt be a problem as its basically the same as before and only the injectors are going through the resistor. ive got a guy coming out to re test the injectors on tuesday but if they come up ok im back to square 1 and like you i really dont want to go back to stock to test. any ideas from anyone? -
this upgrade has been done successfully a number of times by members of this forum. there is even a guide on doing it. i don't need 550cc injectors and i did all the work myself. with the current exchange rate this is a more viable option IMHO. flow testing and cleaning rules out leaking and the injectors are from a r33gtr with 35k on the clock NEW ENOUGH you have offered me info you are not sure on and an opinion that is useless to my current situation. well done...

Hi Guys, ok this is a tough one. ive put my GTR injectors into my r32 rb20det. i used a resistor pack and wired it in. i have attached a drawing to show you how i did it. so i checked everything and put it all back together, turned the key and no fire. that was with the stock ecu. i thought it wouldn't anyway but it was worth a shot. anyway i connected the (power FC) and it started first try perfect!!!!!! runs great until it starts to warm up then it gets a massive mis and the revs rise and fall in a patten. it sounds like a washing machine. this issue wasnt there before the changover ive played with all the wires and plugs for both the injectors and coils. the injectors are firing cuz i can hear them tick and when i take the coils of 1 at a time i can see the sparking when i remove a plug, injector or coil the mis becomes constant but the problem is still there i had the car booked in for a pfc tune saterday so i drive the car 20kms to get there. it drive fine under 3k with little to 0 knock. so i get there with the hope it the tune would fix it but no go. they tried new plugs and an ignighter and tried to dyno it to get some data but as soon a it got on boost the mis was a constant droped cylinder. sounded aweful. the tuner said that he increased a % on number 2 injector to 80% and its helped it a bit but still a problem. he said it could be a blocked injector and to get it retested. they were tested and cleaned 2 days earlier but this could be the problem as it was hard to get the rail and new injectors into position with the top intake still on and not letting the injector touch anything else. so guys any ideas? i need the car for a daily all week and the tuner said i could bring it in tomorrow but if i cant fix the mis it cant be tuned. the tuner has been good to me and i know they are busy so i dont want to have them spend another 4 hours trying to find a problem before the tune. please guys im stuck

Numerous Rb20det Issues (spiting And Backfiring)

well ill start you off, first problem 1, your rubber intake hose that connects to the turbo could be collapsing in on itself. (lots of threads about it on SAU) It explains the sound and although it didn't do it before the rubber is getting up to 20 years old and was only designed for 10psi second problem 1, your tune will be way out due to the r33 turbo causing over fueling and flat spots i have the same problem and im guessing that as soon as your car is warm its gone? 2, clean valves (grab the guide) search "cold start valve" or "acc valve" 3, clean AFM (grab the guide) search "cleaning AFM" 4, check for air leaks (specifically check you vacuum at idle cold, and once warm honestly it sounds like you have a classic rb20det cold start issue. ive tried so many times to fix it and so many hours. if its none of the above just DONT drive it cold. i dont and i love the car hahaha good luck ash
