nope, two rows of pins, has c34 written on the side of it. perhaps it is an earlier series? was informed that it is a rb25de ecu which has vct outputs and a 2 row configuration (r32 plugin) just wanting to confirm this. cheers

did a search and there was mention of an old guide to modify the gts/gtst latch to accept the gtr bonnet. after another search, I can't find it, does anyone know where this is? cheers

this is supposed to be a budget build. no need for aftermarket stuff here I have a c34 rb25de ecu. does anyone have a pinout diagram for this ecu?

Thanks for your reply guys, i really appreciate all the help. NZ skylines forum has pretty much died last time i checked... the engine swap was done by previous owner, they kept the r32 ecu and loom because it was easier. could a r32 rb20de remapped ecu control the vct? the vct is not engaged at the moment because i have no idea what voltage it runs at and what rpm it switches on and off and if the voltage varies etc? is there any ecu which will plug in which has vct as well? (i can run the relevant pinout to the vct control using a separate wire from the ecu to the engine bay vct control). the prev owner gave me a laurel ecu or something and said that the ecu would plug in and i could run a wire to the vct line. i dont know how accurate this is though so wanted to check. failing that a rpm switch and a remap for the r32 rb25de ecu looks like the way to go... a tune at the same time would probably be best too!! hoping that the r32 ecu will be running the r34 engine safely atleast if not most efficiently.

Do you have any further tips for the modification of the gts bonnet catch to retain the gtr bonnet? have had a bonnet flip up at high speed which wasn't pleasant so hopefully the mods are reliable. will go to bonnet pins if required, but i would prefer not to use bonnet pins.

I searched and found a few topics but never this exact case (or a general statement saying that all skyline seats are interchangeable) I believe most skyline seats are mix n match, but i wanted to check for sure i have bought a recaro drivers seat with r32 gtr seal rails. will this seat fit into my r32 gts? cheers!

I have just purchased a r32 gts coupe on standard suspension. due to insurance reasons I am looking for the best upgrades possible while only using parts which come factory on r32 skylines. is the factory r32 gts-t mspec suspension any better than the gts? what about standard GTR suspension? will it fit? any other suggestions are welcome cheers

r32 ecu and loom is running my r34 engine. so the pin outs for the r32, r33 and r34 ecu's are different?

can you explain a bit about the L piece and the lock? do i need the GTR L piece and the lock from the GTR? are these the parts which are on the GTR body? any issues with fitment of the GTR bonnet around the GTS headlamps/indicators? Cheers!!

i have the car now along with the r34 ecu and loom and also a c32 (i think) rb25de ecu as well not sure whats the best way to enable the vct

hasnt come on after i picked it up tonight. will keep an eye on it and check fluid in the morning when there is light cheers for the replies, will let you know how it goes

does anyone know if there are any fuel/ignition differences between the r32, r33 and r34 ecu's for the rb25de since the rb25de came in all 3 series of skylines? and thus any performance increases to be had by using a different ecu to control the fuel and ignition? Cheers

that would be a good idea, but the engine is a rb25de non turbo. how does the vct solenoid get activated by the proper ecu? like does it get a signal to activate until a certain rpm where the signal is then removed and the solenoid disengages? cheers
