tiger white is the name of the drifter who runs a rb25de+t. he has a few videos on youtube and you may be able to google some information about his set up.

Shimming Hicas (tomei Kit?)
clip14 replied to clip14's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the guide, I will be taking my hicas actuator bar off and down to the local hardware store to get some washers. tomei shims are a stupid price! -
surely someone here has upgraded their clutch in their r34 rb25de? I'm getting a cash job done for the clutch change, so would be best if i turned up with the right clutch kit!

there are members of my car club pushing 310rwkw (400hp at the wheels - not at the flywheel) on stock compression rb25de in a street/drift car. also a competitor in d1nz running a rb25de+t at the same power levels in competitive drifting. set up right, you can run the high compression and put out lots of power. just get the tune right and dont skimp on supporting mods.

yeah I think it's the factory auto ecu. ecutalk shows this in the upper right hand corner when loaded: ECU 08U11 Cheers

I solved this problem (just then at 10pm at night in the dark outside with a torch held in my mouth) car accelerates cleanly on full WOT from low rpm. seems stronger in the top end. the plug to the tps has 3 pins pin 1: one pin for the input of 5v pin 2: the potentiometer output (triggered by the rotation of the throttle plate axle) pin 3: and one pin for the output of the tps voltage to the ecu. switch pin 1 and 3 and problem gone. I still need to adjust the throttle pedal and cable as right now, when i push the accelerator to the floor I only reach 3/4 throttle ~3v

lol yeah it is a bit of a mongrel isnt it!! I should really invest in a multimeter never was any good at electronics though. I will take the tps sensor off tonight and see if any fiddling with the mechanicals will help. otherwise i suppose i will try switch some wires around :S there are no other error codes coming up, afm voltages seem within normal range, engine temp readouts are around 80 degrees c when warmed up. so all the other outputs seem right. just the damn tps! it explains the strange cutout thats happening when i apply 'wide open throttle'. must be the ecu being confused at the tps voltage dropping too low while airflow and engine speed is increasing. I'm not sure what the previous owner did to the loom, so it is a bit annoying trying to track down other peoples dodgy mods.

I am doing a turbo conversion to my rb25de. I am thinking of using a rb20det turbo and running 5psi to hit around 150kw with a really linear torque curve. will I run into problems with boost creep? low boost on a small turbo on a large engine = lots of exhaust gas needs to be bypassed... the internal gate may not be able to cope... any experiences would be appreciated!

would it be as easy as switching the input/output wires of the tps?? i'm not sure how the tps measures the throttle position. maybe its the r34 tps which outputs differently? ps. the cable is awesome nukleer without it i would never have known my tps is acting up.

So I got my consult cable and checked out some of the free software on the net car specs: r32 skyline coupe r32 rb25de ecu and loom (auto i believe) r34 rb25de (swapped in, with manual gearbox) error codes which showed up in consult: TPS (throttle position sensor) error and automatic transmission something error not too fussed about the AT error. the TPS error however... checked the TPS voltage readings.. 4.7V steady when throttle is closed (i.e. no foot on throttle). weird!! then when i apply throttle, the voltage drops, with WOT showing a reading of around 2.0V there is definitely something wrong here as it should show ~0.4v closed throttle and up to 4v open throttle. does anyone have any advice or heard of this happening before????

can someone please show me how they shimmed their hicas? i just want to see where the shims go! thanks!!!!!!

FAST indicates that the r34 rb25de injectors are the same part number 350z injectors. these are well known to flow 290cc at 3 bar (Stock fuel pressure) and handle up to 200rwkw. so will be using the stock r34 rb25de injectors for my initial turbo setup thanks for your help though, i appreciate the time you took

Skyline R32 Ls3 Drift Car
clip14 replied to Morten Kiil Finsaas's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
just finished reading your build thread for the first time. excellent dedication to what looks to be a huge task! great fabrication, and a lot of money has gone into this. I look forward to seeing the finished result and also any videos you can take of the car finally on the track! -
what kind of clutch should i be looking for? i had a search and found all different types of clutches for rb series. push/pull 6bolt/9bolt 225mm/bigger diameter mm for a r34 rb25de manual

Skyline - How Long Do They Last
clip14 replied to snoopy4eva's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
my r32 chassis has 270,000 on it engines got less tho -
ive got some conflicting info now. some say the r34 rb25de injectors are 290cc, some say 270, now theres also 249cc im wanting to run these injectors along with a rb20det ecu for a cheap turbo setup. so im hoping theyre atleast the same size or bigger than rb20det injectors (270cc)

it sounds like a huge project.

R32 Gtr Coilovers On R32 Gtst
clip14 replied to dr concrete's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yes i believe so but it might not provide the fitment you're after due to weight differences between the gtr/gtst gtr has all the 4wd gear in the front which your car wont have which will upset the ride height and even the spring rates if they are progressive. -
factory bov usually leaks. it should be plumbed back. vg30 turbo has a larger turbine so it should have better top end

R32 R200 Diff Backing Plate Bolts
clip14 replied to clip14's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
installed the diff r32/s13 = 4 bolt backing plate r33/s14 = 2 bolt backing plate r33 diff has larger front (propshaft end) bolt ring things and so you will need the rubber bushes to accept the bolt. the bolt is also longer than the one used to secure the r32 diff because of the bushings. i.e. you can't use your r32 diff bolts to install the r33 diff. so the things you need to install a r33 diff into the r32 are: r33 r200 diff r33 diff front bolt bushings r33 diff front bolts 4 bolt backing plate (can be swapped off your r32 r200). hope this helps anyone in the future who tries this swap. -
so with your information the rb25de injectors are smaller than the rb20det?
-
this is awesome! good to see some of the history of the 240z!
-
does anyone have a link to show that these are 270cc injectors? that would make them the same as rb20det injectors correct?
-
if my car (r32 gts25 auto) came with hicas from factory. does it mean that it also came with factory viscous lsd? is there any way to check using chassis code? i have taken the factory diff out (it was a stupid 3.5:1 ratio) but i dont currently have it to check the internals etc. cheers

will the head swap affect static compression at all?
