Thanks for all the replies guys. I have also been asking around and do some research, it appears a regular wash / polish and occasional detailing is better or just as food as paint protection only lasts a while and it's expensive as.

Regarding what car was just used in 2F2F, it was a R34 GTT with GTR bodykit. The behind the scenes docos confirm this as. A real GTR may have been used for stationary shots etc, but Paul Walker's character definitely drove a GTT without question,

Hi guys, I've not been a fan of CF vented bonnets in the past as I thought they were only for looks and didn't add any performance gains until the car travels at high speeds. I noticed also that there's been a decline in them on cars recently as well, but I now don't mind them so does anyone know where I can get a second hand one as I'm not sure I want to keep it on my car forever so I just want to try it on for size. Hi guys, I'm looking at getting paint protection done on my car and have heard several good things about it such as keeping the paint losing like new for 5-8 years, looking like it's been waxed weekly, easier to clean dirt off and that it protects the paint from UV damages. Is all this true, where to get it done in VIC and roughly how much for the whole car? I'm totally new to this so any help would be great. Cheers Kevin

Got the mini ballasts in black and tuck them away on the side of the inner wheel arches.

Hi guys, my R33 GTR's alternator has had it and needs to be replaced. I found a second hand one off an auto R33 GTS - would this also work on my GTR? I am told their all similar is this right? Thanks

Ok everyone. My mechanic has confirmed it is the alternator.

Put them just on the side of the inner wheel arches close to the lights but not too close as they the HID's do heat up quite bad.

Update: so the problem got worst. Slowly the battery just won't hold charge anymore and eventually I found myself stuck in the middle of the road with no power so it's at a friends house now. You guys think the alternator is home or more the battery dead? I'm leaning more toward the battery.

I would say the globe itself has blown. Simply check to each and replace.

It sounds to me that it's not an exhaust leak. Probably the Turbo is gone but also check the Blowoff valve to see if it's fallen loose. This happened to me and turned out the BOV had given way over time.

Hi guys, recently my R33 GTR's battery warning light started flashing and now remains permanently on when the car runs fine and shows no signs of stalling or drained of power. What's going on and how to fix? Firstly, I had the car at a motor mechanic for a couple of months where it was hardly driven each day so is the battery dead? This battery was brand new and only replaced 5 months ago. Ever since taking the car home, it's been on a trickle charger and only driven monthly but the charger does indicate that the battery has been fully charged so not sure why this is happening. Recently, my amp/sub combos earth wire going from the "control" went loose so I had to fix and it sparked a few little sparks which is normal so not sure if this had anything to do with it. I assume not ? Any help would be much appreciated.
