  1. Ahh yes you did.
  2. Chris, I played with ULP a little while back, from memory to drop knock levels back to normal I had to pull out ~6-7degree's depending on the rpm area.
  3. ULP is fine for light and very moderate acceleration. Give it wot and mine would ping, and that was with an rb20det running std boost, std exhaust etc. 95RON was only just good enough but wouldn't allow any more ign. to be pushed in via the cas.
  4. Oldies own a 100series Landcruiser, 5speed auto V8, goes pretty damn well, suprisingly punchy off the line and pulls away from the inlaws VN V6 Auto towards the end of first.
  5. Mines up around the 8 when cold but the difference is it always has been. How long have you had the car? First winter? Oil is thicker when cold = higher oil pressure as its harder to pump.
  6. It looks as if the pintle cap has melted??? Especially Injector2.jpg

Vange, You should have replied... "Take a look at my head, I need all the help I can get". lmao
  8. Repco in Adelaide now stock Motul, all though its more expensive than can be had at Autboarn.
  9. A quick heads up. All the RB spiggots are the same, rb20/25/26 and rb30. They can be picked up aftermarket for a couple of $$. Running a gearbox without one most definitely damages the input shaft bearing. It only takes a hundred km's or so of driving and its gearbox rebuild time.
  10. It was more so of a comparison to the 4.1ltr supercharger... I believe you'd be much better off with a 2.5ltr and a stock turbo making close to 200rwkw. There's no point having a shiet load of torque at 2000rpm with the skylines gearing, some torque yes and then a rush of power from 2500-3000rpm onwards. Even with a supercharger the rb20 won't make as much torque at lets say 2500rpm as a larger motor (rb25 or rb30) running a suitable turbo to spool similiar. If you do decide to go supercharger on the rb20 your still going to have bugger all off idle torque until it gets going at around 2000-2500rpm or so. So... drop a 2.5ltr in it with a std rb25 turbo and experience similiar but with considerably more off idle torque possibly similiar mid range yet a shiet load more top end. I'm tired also.. hope that made sense.

The parks are a well known bad area, not really much more I can say apart from be prepared to be pulled over when in that area. Some years ago a mate of mine went to the school there' I believe it was called the parks community school or something, he mentioned how his mate got in to a fight with some kid, the next day the kids father entered the class room with a knife, my mates mate jumped out the window and legged it.. As you would. If your pulling up to a house then driving off it could be perceived in a bad area as a drug drop or something of the likes?
  12. As a comparison my rb30det running the stock turbo @ 12psi tailing off to 9psi by 4000rpm made: 100rwkw by 2000rpm 130rwkw by 2600rpm 160rwkw by 3200rpm 170rwkw by 3800rpm 176rwkw by 4000rpm and then held flat until 5000rpm where it would nose over. It would spool to 12psi at 1500-1600rpm if you were in a high gear, lower gears the rev's flick too quick for the turbo to spool at such an rpm. Yes it felt like a diesel. So what I'm getting at is drop a little gt2871r on the old 250xflow and it would have spooled just as early yet made a heap more power, pushing close to mid 250rwkw's.

Nozilla, What area does this happen in? You appear to get pulled over quite a lot. Are you first name basis yet? If its a crappy area then its completely understandable, I would hope the police do keep tabs on who's around at what times.
  15. Yes but those things (apart from if your running a thick arsed headgasket) only make minimal difference to comp ratio.
  16. Ahh well these garret internal gate gt30/gt35 turbine housings are supposed to be out at the end of this month. Low comp... All the more reason to bolt on a big huffer and force some boost down the rb30det's throad.
  17. PFC doesn't reset anything by disconnecting battery.
  18. ermm.. opps... didn't mean to stirr the pot. A forklift motor an rb30?
  19. lol.. the mad rush to get it done.. Think you'll have injectors in by tune day? Wiring in the resistor pack and replacing inj. plugs/boots took my slow arse the good part of a day. Using the PFC's inj. trim it started and ran perfectly, all though at full throttle it instantly went richer than 10:1. Afr's off boost and idle were near perfect.

Your answer is within your own quote above.. Please note the bold text. If its your last post; no skin off my nose, Its not like you contribute much anyway, the majority of your posts are negative or complete bullshit, right from your mates dad did this and that or its YOUR GTO then another post states its your DADS GTO, and on it goes. I've got a life; a life with a missus and a gorgeous little boy.. I wouldn't have it any other way.
  21. Spotted a nice looking Grey R32 down Murray rd. Pt. Noarlunga at 1:30pm. The bloke waved, I missed it the other half saw.
  22. Chances are not... Check all fuses.
  23. ]Its definitely impossible as the r32 and r33 ecu's don't learn anything to do with ignition, afr's or where detonation occurs. Its not within their capabilities. All they do is sense detonation pull timing and drop a little added fuel in at that given time, it doesn't remember anything. I had mine on the dyno some time ago when I had the stock ecu running ~1bar, did back to back with an ecu reset, zero difference.

  25. Sorry I forgot to update this thread. I sent the PFC in to force electronics, they checked it out and replaced various resistors and capacitors. It now works PERFECTLY!!!! RE: Pin 57, that is indeed a cut track as Bl4ck32's AP Engineering PFC also has been cut. After a little investigation it appears the R32 pfc is based on an early r33 pfc. Pin 57 on the R33 is an exhaust heat sensor, where as on the R32 it has something to do with throttle input, apparently used in the auto's. So AP have cut the track to be on the safe side it appears.
