  1. Haha i remember when Hybrid did a gig at the leedy way back before the turn of the centrury. There were like 50 people there... :headspin:
  2. Cheers guys! Train then ferry it is. (I have heard however that recently your ferries have a tendency to carry out unplanned rennovations to your jetties). I was also looking at your public transport fare prices... fugin hell!! It's almost cheaper to get a taxi!!
  3. Hey y'all new south walesers, I am flying in to Sydney early friday morning, and need to get from the airport to Manly where I am staying. Not knowing a flying feck about the layout and transport systems in Sydney, I was wondering if you guys could help. Is there a train? Bus? I was thinking of getting to the city somehow then catching the ferry over? How far is it from the airport to the city (taxi-wise)? Cheers!
  4. Jamezilla - well picked out. I knew it was a Samara of some form. Those crazy russians. Teh Niva can neva loose!!!!
  5. In Old Russia we drive in Volzhsky Automobilny Zavod
  6. Ok - so it sounds like it is an adapter whereby you still shift the normal H pattern, but it locks out each gear in sequence as you shift up so you cant miss-shift? That is starting to sound more practical.
  7. If it is an external bolt on adaptor, then you are missing the point of a sequential gearbox - your shifts may consist of a simple push/pull motion, but the adapter mechanism itself is still going through the motions of your H-pattern selector (probably through some complex little gear/linkage setup thingamajig). In essence you're just adding more slop/compliance/weakness into the system for the sake of lazier up/down shifting. Unless you're particularly challenged when it comes to shifting up and down a H-pattern, I don't see how a device like this could be of any real advantage past it’s “look at me im a racecar driver” novelty factor.
  8. Out of all the engines you could drop into a 180sx, the RB26 conversion would be the MOST expensive. Stick with the SR20 or even the underrated CA18 – the money you’d save could power up either of those engines quite nicely. I’d also say that the RB26DETT is significantly heavier than any nissan four, and that having one sitting in the engine bay of your 180sx would send the weight distribution down the toilet somewhat.
  9. I have heard of plenty of ‘off-the-shelf’ GTR sequential boxes – but not of a sequential conversion kit (not for the GTR that is). I’d say it would be quite expensive considering a new sequential box is upwards of $20k. You’d probably need at least a new gearkit/selectors, shifter mechanism, levers, etc. maybe even a new clutch, to modify a standard box if it is even possible. Then you’d probably want to add hydrualic actuation, paddle shift, etc so you can be just like Schumacher. But if you have the $$$...
  10. I am under the impression that the RB26 is the only rb engine with solid lifters? The hydraulic setup of the others is much less suited for higher rpms as (valve float etc becomes an issue). RB30 -> longer throw = higher peak piston velocities, which is one of the larger factors in determining maximum rpm (time for some forged internals!). Reciprocating mass, oil spec and quality, cylinder clearances, component composition, etc will also all have influences on what rpm you can achieve reliably.
  11. hmm... hey all i sure aint been round here for a while... the colours are all whacky
  12. The fedex website has a calculator for costing freight from the usa to most places in the world. http://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/home?cc=US&language=en
  13. Get DVDXCopy. It is undoubtedly THE easiest way to copy dvd movies. Forget arsing around with multiple programs. It will get round most copy protection, and automatically shrink larger DVDs to fit onto standard media. All from one simple click of the "start" icon. Easy. Even my mum can work it. NB: you can usually find the lastest version and a crack on Kazaa
