  1. Wow you are good!
  2. which ceramic coater in QLD is doing this?
  3. I might be keen on the buddy too depending on the price
  4. Oh if you are not soft then come out to this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/An...86#entry3960386
  5. For 15-25 bucks??? That doesn't even cover the cost of labour to strap the cars to the dyno let alone wear/tear of the dyno!!! I think we should all thanks Mick @ Signature for that. Hope to see you all there
  6. lol at the softie comments You are brain washed if you think your lost of freedom and conformity to the government's idea that all jap car should be on the track only. I hate it! Whenever I drive my track r32gtr (street legalled with mod plates) I get gazed and followed by police. However when I drive my turbo charged honda s2k or C32AMG I am ok. I even got pulled over in my Merc and they called me sir when I was under 30 at the time. I did a 64 sec at QR sprint with the Merc so it's not any civilised car either. I bought these cars because I like what the manufacturer created. They don't reflect my personality. WTF is this double standard in the community? Yes why cant we have both? If you think I am soft, come to the track and try to get into my slipstream then I will take your comment any time. I have nothing against Willowbank and I think they are doing an extremely professional job. For me to take my car out to the drag I have to plan ahead to see what time I could potentially get home from QR and whether it will affect my work the following day. I don't let my play affect my work, or mix work and play. That's why I have not taken the 32 out to the drag on Wednesday lately. I just love to see some slack around Goldie, otherwise rebuild us a track to play with.
  7. I agree. Anyone want to organise a group buy?
  8. So what is in the rule book Can I put a jet engine or an electric engine in the car ? Mark, are you talking about the classical RH club book or something else?
  9. OS engine with big drag cams. You guys might be right, it could have been a larger single. As you can tell I am not a real fan of big single. All I can say it's definitely laggier than twin t517Z and the twin T618Z
  10. hmm I better double check with John what turbo it is. I knew I should have not mention this turbo coz I wasn't too clear. It might have been bigger. Full boost was in the high 20 and he had a Nismo cluster. All of the others that I mentioned were around 2 bars. What cams and intercooler have you got on your car?
  11. Awesome work. Very inspirational DIY How long did it take you?
  12. Come on guys, gimme a hand will ya Is it worthwhile to get some inconel bolts and lock nuts?
  13. Definitely the twin greddy t78 will not be very functional at the 9krpm redline they suggested. I've driven similar setup. The Twin T618Zs hit full boost at 4.5-5krpm. Single T04Z hits full boost around 5.5-6krpm.Twin TD06s hit full boost at around 6-6.5krpm. I am not sure when Willall's drag car hit full boost with their T67s. If I have to bet, the T78 must be getting full boost in the 8krpm....way too laggy. BTW what cams are they using on this setup and what is the asking price?
  14. My friends recently installed a set of Greddy T618Z to my RB26DETT. It's been around 2000km and the supplied Greddy gaskets between the 2 turbo and 2 dumps shat themselves at the same time. The gaskets were the older gasket styles and did not look that reliable when we installed. I just order 2 sets of permaseal gaskets from GCG. Is there anything I should replace while I am at it? How good are the Greddy supplied bolts and nuts? Should I use some better bolts and lock nuts instead of reusing the Greddy stuffs? Also this will be my first time pulling the dump pipes out, is there any special trick to speed up the process? Do I need to pull the turbo out? Thanks in advance I don't really want to do this again so any pointer will be much appreciated.
  15. Sure there are times and places for everything. I remember meeting mates at car cruises/ car parks in my younger years. It was fun. I met some very inspirational and nice people there too. It's a shame to see that disappear because the men in blue think we deal drugs or illegal stuffs there. I am glad to see the Willowbank drag strip works for you but it may not work for everyone. For me the drag strip would be different; -Andra unlimited licence $341 -Andra log book $30 -Need to get a full cage with Andra certification -Need a ballistic blanket for the gearbox I don't mind the above (and will try to do them near the end of this year) however the parts I dread the most are lots of travel time, broken axles or gearbox, a tow home and then leaving my cars with unreliable workshops and dealing with stuff ups from them lalala The whole exercise will cost me from a couple of hundreds to thousands. I've been through that road before. At the moment, I can guess what my car can do at the 1/4 track and will take it there again when I have enough time to work on my car if something breaks. Afterall there is no point drag racing if you can't go full out. For the time being I will leave it in the shed and take it to QR, lakeside or Morgan park. I am sure I am not the only one going through this drama. No wonder why some people drag races on the street!!! I wonder when the government will use their revenues from automobiles or fuel tax to feed it back to the motorsport community......I can only dream....but the answer will be never I would love to have a drag strip or race track near home but that will never happen. Until then I think the police should give the car community some laxity with this sort of car park social meets. Have they ever wonder what the youth will do if they don't hang around car parks in the Gold Coast? I would hate to witness the disappearance of modified cars and re-emergence of bong vans scene like the Byron Bays
  16. The boys have a point, we should all lobby the government to open up another drag strip near the Gold Coast. Until then we will have to find another car park. Harbour town car park/Pacififc fair are big I have not been to a car park meet for a LONG time. However I still remember that it was fun when everyone behave. Why should everyone be so bitter about this and make the younger generation miss out on a social activity? Hey I am sure everyone is happy to meet at Willowbank once in a while but who has the money to burn 2 hours of driving and $$$ of fuel every week.
  17. Collaboration????? Does that make things cheaper or more expensive? It looks like they just bolted some Tomei and Greddy parts to a OS short block. Twin T78 with max rev of only 9krpm won't work well.
  18. It was well planned Paul The only thing I like to suggest for next time is could we have a cool down lap or 2 after each session at Lakeside next time? The track is fairly harsh on brake and I noticed that most brakes were fairly hot as people pulled up in the pit. There were no where to go to cool the car down on the middle as well.
  19. Thanks SK and Duncan I will need to take some more weight off my car in the future. My current weight is still too heavy. My rear left is a around 40kg lighter than the rear right. Is this common in the gtr? Can you guys offer some suggestion?
  20. I bridged my vacuum hoses from the map sensors but still use both map sensors
  21. What is the best front to rear weight distribution has anyone achieved for the skyline? Mine was like 900kg front and 600kg rear.
  22. do you guys have any tips for just changing the extension and dump pipes? How much beer do I need lol?
  23. get an exhaust tip with a bent to divert the fumes to the ground
  24. What an exciting run. I can't imagine what you could have done if you had good traction. Congrat for the achievement Mark!!!
  25. What compression is this engine running?
