  1. Hey Guys, Noticed there was a thread on here for a pre-meet for the cruise, so thought I'd post up the information for the actual cruise. Hope to see you all there!
  2. Victoria's BIGGEST & BEST Cruise Club is back! PRESENTS.... CRUISE #29!! SAT SEP 12 7PM Let's first kick off by reassuring everyone of our Cruise & Event Guidelines found here! Click here to find out more information about the cruise! That's right! It's time for us to once again hit the streets kicking off our spring time cruising leading up to summer... and what's that you say? Kickstart the club who puts on the best cruises to run more, and more, AND MORE events? You betcha! MEETING @ WESTFIELD, PLENTY VALLEY 415 McDonalds Road, Mill Park VIC 3082 Things that you should bring: * Jacket in case it gets cold - you know, it IS MELBOURNE! * Gold coin donation to the club for a map! (Helps host our awesome forums and keep events coming!) * Smile and a GOOD ATTITUDE! and now for some serious talk... The last time VicStreetScene ran a cruise was in February this year. We only had a small amount of time to advertise it - 2 weeks, just like this cruise! And what a turn out! 600+ cars turning out with the word spreading quickly that VicStreetScene was going to put on yet another kick ass cruise for the cruisers of Melbourne. And kick ass it was! ...for most of the night! We finished up at Wilson's Parking in South Melbourne where a few people thought it would be a great idea to take matters into their own hands in terms of entertaining the crowd. VicStreetScene does not approve of this poor, illegal behaviour. As a result, 7 unlucky cruisers received knocks on the doors the following day from Police officers and tow trucks to take their cars for 48 hours. This was done by the crew of VicStreetScene submitting photos of the offenders who, after being told not to misbehave leaving the meet point did so anyway. Please also keep in mind that if it is to rain on the evening, the sale of maps will be cancelled. We will all enjoy a good meet up at Plenty Valley, but we will finish up there and head home or out for whatever you please to do without the club. Let this be a warning: VicStreetScene does not have a problem submitting photos of offending cruisers in order to maintain a reputation for doing the right thing in the eyes of the law. OTHERWISE! Let's get out for a crazy cruise and we'll see you on September 12.
  3. Hey Guys and Girls! Given we're all here for the same reason (we LOVE cars!) I thought you might be interested in finding out about this website - www.AutoEvents.com.au - a dedicated website for Australian Automotive Events!
  4. Hey Guys, Just thought I would let you all know about a new website that has opened :: www.autoevents.com.au :: If you have any upcoming events that you would like added to the website - it's FREE! Just jump on the website and send through your event (in the 'Advertise' section) and it will be online in no time! Cheers, Krystal.
  5. Hey Mate, It starts at 9am, if you wish to enter I can add your name to the entry list if you like. Just let me know what car you will be entering in so I can put it in the correct class. Cheers, Krys.
  6. Hey Guys, Round #2 is this Saturday, whose going?
  7. We never have any dramas at the first meet point with police presence, even with 500 cars! We have a fairly good rep with the boys in blue thankfully, but I must warn you if you are caught misbehaving your rego's will be handed over (often with photographic evidence!). We were removed from a couple of carparks last cruise at the request of centre security, the cops were great - asked us to leave and even helped us with traffic control on the way out... they said as long as we were well behaved they had no reason to defect us. Hope to see you there! Would be awesome if you guys could organise a pre-meet and come together as a club! If any of you have any hot cars in which you would like to display in the roped off section, send me some pix and info! We're definitely not just a commodore (or ford!) cruise club
  8. VICSTREETSCENE - VICTORIA'S LARGEST OPEN CRUISE CLUB! presents.... Cruise #21 SATURDAY AUGUST 11 Meet 7:30pm for a 9:30pm Cruiiise! HOMEHQ - MITCHAM Maroondah Highway between Mitcham & Springvale Roads With our 20th official cruise done and dusted, VicStreetScene would like to extend this invite to you, your ride and your mates to come down and cruise with us for the 21st cruise yet... and what a cruise it will be! Appearing again will be our roped off section and the club is taking expressions of interest for people to participate so if you have or know someone with a hot ride, be sure to send myself or another VicStreetScene staff member a message letting us know of the interest with a bit of a run down on the car, a picture, and a brief message as to why you think it should be on display! Cruise #20 was yet another record for VicStreetScene with over 500 cars in attendance at the first meet point @ Mitcham on what was a relatively cold and wet night! Crazy hey? Let's do it again! This time round, we'll make sure that the locations are set out to accomodate everyone, and make sure that it is an enjoyable trouble free night (to the best of our ability that is!). The police are on side and you will have to remember that there will be unmarked cars around the place, so this means there will be zero tolerance for bad behaviour! At Cruise #20, the Police were amazingly understanding and helpful with the weather and security and certain meet points, helping us out of locations and giving us much advice so we can grow stronger to help cruising stay stress free! So, why not come out and check out the biggest cruise club in Victoria for their 21st OFFICIAL CRUISE?!? And now for the serious parts: VicStreetScene has cruise guidelines! I'm sure that most of you know them by now (can be found at here), but in general let me sum it up: Unlawful behaviour will come at the obvious consequence. Any person caught driving in an unlawful manner will have their plates handed over to the authorities and it will be up to them to deal with you.. We are a cruise club. Not a hoon club, not a drag club, not a burnout club. We're out to have a good night of cruising and checking out cars. What we are NOT about is attracting attention of the unwanted kind, or putting our club in the spotlight thanks to the people who think they have something to prove to the other cruisers. Please also take care of your own rubbish. It doesn't look good when a club with 500 cars (with up to 1000 people in attendance) is not making use of rubbish bins. It is not a good look! There will also be a couple of things to check out at the cruise! * Displays from a few car audio scenes * Red Bull again with their awesome freebies! * PoleXpress coffee van * Sausage sizzle And much much more! So make sure you come down and check it out! For those who are concerned about police presence, behaviour and so forth, why not come down and check out our meet point at HomeHQ? Make up your own mind - if it's not for you then that's that but if it is! Stick around for a great night of cruising! For Cruisers: Make sure you bring a gold coin donation for a map (Goes to help running our website!) and funds to get your self a VicStreetScene sticker and other merchandise that will be on sale on the night! Thanks, and we hope to see you Sat August 11 at Cruise 21! VicStreetScene
  9. I just thought I'd let you all know what happened on this cruise... Despite the fact that it was raining, we managed to get an absolutely MASSIVE turn-out at HOME HQ, finally hitting the 500 cars mark. We had The Red Bull Promo Girls handing out FREE red bull and we had Mark from Polexpresso Mobile Cafe with deliciously hot coffee's for us all to enjoy. Not only was the amount of cars unbeliveable, but the quality was intense and absolutely no police dramas. All in all, a fantastic turn out. Unfortunately the rest of the night didn't go so smoothly, due to the raining weather we opted for undercover carparks and Security were none to happy. The Police were given no choice but to ask us to leave, thankfully they were understanding and were happy not to hand out any defects if everyone co-operated and behaved. The next cruise will be held in early August, hopefully the weather will be a lot better then and we wont have the same dramas. I'll keep you all updated on when it is, I really hope to see you all there!
  10. oh man thats no good! that sucks my car isn't on the road at the moment either, I'll be bumming a ride with someone else. Any chance you can do the same thing? Hope you can make it!!

May helped us play host to an awesome rain free, 400+ car cruise night that ventured from Mitcham to Scoresby to Berwick and finished up at Albert Park. 400 cars! What a feat! With that, let's get moving into our June cruise and get the word spread for what we hope to be the BIGGEST most exciting cruise from VicStreetScene yet! In June VicStreetScene will once again be organising not one but Two display sections, to show off a few of the tidy rides that want to join in the fun at VicStreetScene's 20th official!
