  1. it did, still traded as speedworks tho

the shop has been shut AFAIK, one of the mechanics was going to run stuff from his home garage, but don't wuote me on it as im not 100% on that..

that would be right dodgey as usual...go to tenagha motosport or kansai garage both are in wangara. hyperdrive or allstar garage in malaga, take a pick :(

  2. hey, yeh permits cost very lil. last time i checked it was like $35 per mod. dont quote me on it. but it should be around that mark. what they will do is site it, check that it is fitted correctly and working in the proper manor then right down what it is, what it does and what part of the car it belongs to(i think) ie engine. you get a sheet of paper(the permit) saying its all legal and from then on you have to keep the paper in your car at all times. plus you can always add to the list if you wish

  3. Ontopic:

A friend of mine has a sr20det with HKS GTRS. Is is going to a bigger turbo and now selling his gtrs. Unfortunately this has a t25 flange. My question is: Can the gtrs turbine housing being swapped for my t3 gt2530 turbine housing? Or does this not fit? I came up this idea because it has exactly the same size:

    gt2530r turbine:

    Wheel- 76 Trim - 53.8 Major / 47.0 Exducer

    GTRS:

Turbine wheel Trim 76Major diameter 53.8 (mm) Exit diameter 47.0(mm)

    ??

HKS make a GTRS kit to fit a RB20 engine.(meaning it comes with a t3 flange). the only thing i can think of that might need to change is your dump...MAYBE...im not 100% on this. if you bought this turbo with the right flange(T3), OMG, save you stuffing around big time

  4. soo you can just get the RAc to inspect a car from another state and get it in writing it is road worthy then take it to the DPI and they will allow that? Doesnt sound like something they would do

working for RAC i can tell you that getting the inspection at RAC is all good, but the pretty much re-check it again at DPI(pointless). its a current problem and is a good topic at work. where i work we all appretiate nice cars so we can understand where you are coming from. as long as everything is save, no leaks, tyres are in good nick and a service history would help it might be ok.
