  1. Have had G4's in my S15 for about a year now, they are to stiff for me, and i'm not one to whinge about driveablility and exhaust noise blah blah.

It really does struggle to put the power down on average quality (most) roads. On a nice smooth track I'd imagine they would be fine.

Once I come across some money I will going the SK gear...

  2. WELL!!!! I was Bayside Performance Services yesterday to fit my new fuel pump. Pump works great fuel problem a thing of the past. But while on the dyno the bloody ebc wouldnt adjust. Could not get higher than 10psi. Manages 145rwkw at 10psi but i want more boost. So off i went to autobarn to tell them about my problem with the ebc, since i got it i have just have problems with it.

I asked for a refund for the ebc and got it, YAY!! Im taking that refund money plus a bit more and buying a Blitz ebc. So im ripping the GIZZMO ebc out on saterday and taking it back and getting my BLITZ ebc and putting it in. Hopefully it will work. So i will update again on saterday and go for a power run next week on 13psi, 14.5psi and 16psi and see wat i make.

Are sure the Gizzmo was setup right?

Most people don't like them because they simply dont read the manual, its setup is different to most EBC's.

Who tuned it at BPS? Clint?

  3. thats what I'm doing. think RDP on wireless and you have it.

the connection times out and stops- you can see the inbound data coming in.

firewall is off but zonealarm isnt. thats set to pass on one port only.

I'll know a LOT more in about 3 hours after I get the new router.

What VPN protocol are you using?... PPTP or IPSec?

Do all firewalls allow 3389, 1723 or 500/4500

Zonelalarm can be bloody troublesome, even if if you turn it off it still has a habit of blocking incoming.

Just to rule out Zonealarm being the cause, check the blocked zone log for the laptops IP.

  4. What issue are you having with it, installing or actually setting the desired boost level?

There are 2 settings, duty cycle (boost level) and gain response.

    To set boost level:

Hold top button for 5 secs, enter desired level (start low), say 18 (note this does not mean 18psi).

Once its set, dont touch any buttons for 5secs, you'll then here the solenoid ticking, at this stage you need to drive the car in a spirited fashion under load and then see what the boost reached.

If not happy with the boost level then start the cycle again gradually raising the duty cycle.

This is what I had to do with mine, not sure if the newer model has changed.

But I had to drive the car to set boost, as the fuzzy logic learns your turbo setup.

To set gain response is the same as above, but hold the bottom button.

  5. Why would you buy from a dealer when there are some damn good buys from known skyline folk. The warranty you speak of aint worth toilet paper. Its been put together by some of the best legal minds in the game to make sure the yards rarely if ever pay out on anything. Wear and tear isnt covered but breakage supposedly is. What they dont tell you on a car that age is that the breakage is caused by wear and tear. BINGO! you're f**ked.

Do what you like but I can assure you there are better options than the ones you are planning.

    Exzaccery!

You only have to look for those threads on this forum posted by people who have been screwed over with warranty a week after driving out of the car yard.

  6. I called them for a quote, left my phone number and was told i would get a call back later that afternoon..

It has been days since then and still no call. Had that experience with Famous Classic a couple of times too, and i have a policy with them. Guess you cant expect too much from smaller companies!

    Same, must be busy!

  7. Hi guys, just thought I would clarify a few points about our G4 shocks.

Initially when released, the G4 range like D2 did have a very firm factory spring rate set included with each kit, and while many of our customers were very happy with the firm ride, we had others who were wanting something more forgiving.

With this in mind we have done extensive testing with a number of customers and used their feedback to further develop and change the G4 shock offerings to ensure that we can cater for all customers.

As a result of the research we conducted and the feedback, ALL new G4 Racing Coilover Kits now use 20% softer shock absorber inserts and we still offer each and every customer a free changeover service on springs when purchasing, so if any customer is not happy with the factory springs, we have a large selection of different rate springs which we can fit up when purchasing at no extra charge. As a result, we can effectively tailor the shock package to suit each customers preference.

We stand by every G4 suspension kit we sell and every kit includes a 2 year replacement warranty so if anything should go wrong, or a customer should be dissatisfied for any reason, we are here to help.

Furthermore please note that unlike other comparable brands like D2 and ISC, we have placed a massive investment into G4 to make sure that spare part or warranty request that we may receive can be acted upon immediately as we have a huge inventory of not only brand new kit but also every possible spare part and component from rubber bushings to replacement inserts - all in stock.

    Thanks guys.

    Just Jap

Steve, I have had street spec G4's in my S15 for about 9mths now.

Whats the process if I wanted to 'soften' these up?

Obviously I will need to pay for postage, are there any other costs?

  8. I'm pretty sure the 10 News report said he was driving, buy anyway its now obvious she was.

    Such a waste.

If you are going to drive a car like a tool, do it with no one else in the car and in the right environment.

  9. Just spotted on the news, a white 33 with 3 spoke rims destroyed in Redcliffe.

24yo male driver dead, female passenger in critical condtion.

    Police stated driver lost control.

Hope it was no one on here. Be careful out there people!
