  2. Cars been sitting dormant the last 6 months with a dirty slipping clutch. Got another clutch sitting in my garage waiting to go in, so all im lookin for is a place to swap it and skim the flywheel. Mate was sposed to be doing it, but hasnt done anything bout it the last 6 months. Tired of waiting, and sick of driving the VY company wagon everywhere. Anyone reccomend anywhere half decent and know of any or had any quotes from them for similar work? any help muchly appreciated. Cheers, Brock
  3. My old boys prettttty handy with a welder so im curious to know, is there all that much to a lock bar. From images I've seen they look pretty simple and wouldnt be all that hard to knock up yourself (in my case get the old man to ) Or is there more to them than meets the eye?! Cheers, Brock.
  4. +1 for regan and DC, he knows whats up. and hes pretty genuine. Wouldnt let me buy a car without havin a chat to me parents cause i was 18 at the time, so was lookin out for me and the folks. so not your typical wanky salesman lookin for a quick sale.

  8. i know nothing of the rules/regulations of bathurst, or really got into it at all. but... this bloke i used to work with who claims to be a bigtime v8 supercar freak said that they brought in a rule that outlawed Electronicaly fuel injected cars and that they had to have a carby? is this why the GT-R was phased out?! or he babbling some smack to me. haha
  9. under the state library on james street?? inbetween baropen and the trainstation. never had any trouble there, and well lit up. so no seedy graff rats can toy with your car.

  13. Touche` if i even spelt that right. haha. only reason i was thinking was to minimize sun glare off the head lights. either for the driver infront or driver themselves... i now highly doubt that. haha
  14. Cannot work it out. Been bugging me for a while. Wikipedia has let me down. Whats the story with Drift cars and running Tape accross there headlights?!

  18. Jus curious to whether ne body can help me here. looking at buying a set of Nismo LMGT-4 Rims, but unsure if they'll fit a S1 R33 GTST with the guards rolled. Specs: 17inch X 9.5 inch wide +12 Offset 5 x 114.3 PCD Any help Greaaaatly Appreciated Cheers, Brock
  19. Mine also sounded like a rex for a good few months, upgraded coils n plugs. Put new AFM in it. No help. Ended up ginnin around with all the electrical plugs n what not. turns out the contacts were dirty or something in one of em causing a cylinder to not fire at all. Gave it a spray with the air compressor and cleaned it out. plugged back in and run like a charm : D
  20. Ey, jus trying to filter out reasons to why my cars runnin terrible. My car had/has a missfire at the moment, so I've replaced the first few common causes of missfires (new splitfires and new AFM). When i originaly replaced the splitfires I was told to run the colder plugs the: NGK PFR6G-11's i re-gapped em down to 0.8mm and it seemed to fix the problem. A few days later i noticed it missfired when it was cold and since then its got more constant, Cold or warm. Since then I've replaced the AFM and it's still running poorly. Just curios to if any/everyone else put the colder plugs in when upgrading coils to splitfires and if that could be the reason its running bad still, or possibly any other ideas to why its still runnin like a bucket, injectors possibly or something fuel related? I had a bit of a search around the forum for other related posts but most sayin the same thing. coils or AFM. any help muchly appreciated, Cheers Brock

  22. haha sorry wasnt intending on aiming the pissed off bit toward fellow SAU members was more so jus pissed off in general at the time. gonna have another stab at the car today and suss regapin the plugs down to 0.8mm.
  23. K, Original problem was a intermitant missfire. Was told by everyone "yerrrp ya coil pack". Chucked in brand new Splitfire Coilpacks and NGK PFR6G-11 Plugs. Its now running like a complete slug and 10 times worse. Jumpy, missfire, shootin black smoke. WTF?| Help ne one.
