  1. I have bought a $30 adjustable boost controller off eBay. Iv hooked that t peice that comes in the kit between the acutator and the intake vac hose. With the middle nipple on the tee iv ran it to the boost controller. The boost controller has just taken the solenoids spot. Iv turned the boost controller to negative side and I'm still getting rediculas boost results. Iv swapped a few hoses around and the boost is still amazingly high? Any help will do thanks alex
  2. Okay, I don't want the 400kw, so what turbo would be good for 240kw to 280kw that's responsive? Thanks for the input too
  3. Okay, Today I got my exhaust fitted up, new spark, new coil packs, upgraded the fuel pump to the walbro gss342 or whatever it's called. Tomorrow I'll get the intercooler done and put the boost controller in and see what I can get out of it. That pic help a lot mate thanks. I've been looking at the high mount setups and a lot of people have done individually different.
  4. Oh okay, all advice is good and very appreicieted. I will be doing the basic upgrades this week. Intercooler, walbro fuel pump, exhaust, coil packs and spark. If I just start off with a boost controller on that is 12psi too much for stock turbo and injectors?
  5. Hello i have an r33 gtst and i plan on going high mount turbo setup, a few questions i wanna ask before going threw with this. Is there a way without using a forward facing plenum? Will the power steering ressy will need to be relocated/were? Also what other upgrades will need to be done to support mt gt35/40 and 38mm wastegate? the main reason im doing this is about 1 year ago i bought the upgrades not knowing the cost of labour and so for a project i wanna put it all in. Just looking at it i will cut abit of the piping out on the intercoooler and spark plugs/coilpacks will be easy to replace. I see there are threads on forward facing plenum installs which is good, also to the people who have done it have they used the chinese manifolds and are they any good? Thanks Alex I just wanted to ask this question before starting, ill be posting pics if anyone is interested.
  6. The idea was to put the airpod on for a trial and then start exhaust, intercooler ect upgrades but what I'm trying to say is that I'm losing a crap load of power by having this new pod on.
  7. Yeah true it isnt an upgrade, if the intake is all sucure and nothing is wrong I'll just put the box back on.

  10. Yeah car is slower, I took the old box off and put the pod filter on, so it's just a straight swap. I have bought the proper adapter plate and all. The airpod is louder then the exhaust
  11. Sorry, car is stock. It has no power till 5000rpm, do I need to run the airflow meter somewhere else?
  12. Airpod filter has just been installed today, the car is able catch the boost at high rev but seems to have no power till 5000rpm? Installed hks super air flow reloaded. The airpod is very loud.

  14. Also gotta add it wants to stall when I take it out of gear, it drops to almost 0rpm then jumps back to 650rpm. It's not hunting for and idle only. Wants to stall when Taken out of a gear to stop. Only sometimes. I'll change coilpacks and spark.
  15. It's making a poping noise (popcorn in the microwave) Its happening from 4000rpm it starts. I have a video of it now but it's not very good. In the video it makes the poping noise in 2nd gear if you can hear it
  16. Car is still jerking replaced the spark, checked the coilpacks for cracks. My oil pressure gauge sits on almost no pressure when I'm driving at about 100ks? I'll be replacing the fuel pump next week to see if that done it?
  17. Okay I will take a video tommorrow, it's not popping it's jerking. I just took it for a drive and it seems as soon as the tyres are losing traction it feels like your driving over light pot holes. Car seems to wanna stall at low rev when once put in gear.
  18. Changed the fluids and filters. The fuel filter was so clogged I couldn't even blow threw it. Its getting better when go to accelerate and it's smooth but it's feeling like a traction control is on. Engine is keen to go to 7000rpm but in the wet today it felt like traction was on. Is that sounding like a diff problem? Plugs changed tommorrow and so will coilpacks, that should sort misfire problems.
  19. Iv only got the car yesterday and it is getting better the more I drive it. The car has been sitting for a while.
  20. The car has been sitting a while so I'll change plugs, get coilpacks tested, change fuel filter, bottle of injector fluid and see how it goes. I'll try that tonight.
  21. It's like it's hitting the rev limiter. I know this is a rookie thread but I am sorry.
  22. Yeah it's shuddering, It starts shuddering when it's at about 5000rpm and doesn't wanna go any further, it's feeling like the car is redlining and the whole car is shuddering. It's not a build up because it's smooth Intil it hits the 5000rpm. It's sounding like traction control is on when you lose control in the wet and it's that jumpy feeling. It's causing the back wheels to rumble real bad. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in the engine runs out of rev.
  23. The car is accelerating smoothly and when it's hitting 5000rpm it's jumping and shattering the car. Could it be turbo? Fuel? Air?
