  2. Hey all, ive had this turbo for a little while now and not 100% sure what it is. here is all the photos i have of it and the markings on the turbo, its oil only. Any info about it would be great, as in sizes, power ratings and what ever else really. Thanks
  3. dunno mate, i only just bought it off a guy, i think its a monsta copy, i wanna go a diff way.
  4. Hey, I Have a greddy STYLE intake plenum for sale, its new never been fitted, it comes with the vacuum lines and fittings, the bolts and the radiator pipe thing, its unpolished. 6. Ok its been a few days since my last post just been flat out, havent driven the car much lately but when i have driven it it hasnt been playing up much, now what i recon i will do it put the return from the motor to the main tank instead of having it go back to the surge tank, and also install a low pressure, high volume lift pump it, now what i want to know is whats a good lift pump with a high volume thats ganna fit in my tank hole?? cheers
  7. the injectors that ill be running with the twin cam are pretty bit there 850-880cc cant remember exactly, i think there DENSO?? mayb would the 044 be alright witht that?
  8. thanks for the info man, sounds like its a must do for me. what are prices like for extrud honing? pics wouls be great if its not to much hassell. and vented bonnet is a deff no go. good idea but just not style.
  9. thanks man, is it as i said? i really have no idea and dont know anyone thats had it done or seen and befor and after shots. any idea of cost and who does it? cheers
  10. that is a lota power for one pump, what pump is it? yeah 044 flows 200L/Hour i think. the 044 may be over kill for how much power i have but at the end of the day a rb30 with 300-400 rwkw (example only) would use roughly the same fuel on idel, buut would need a bigger pump when giving it shit. or am i wrong? would the set i have be over kill for RB30DET? completly off subjectn and not sure what its call or how its works exactly but what is the stuff that you can push threw a manifold prior to putting it on the car to clean all the imperfections out of it? i heard of it while ago but forgot now. its like a foam/sludge/ or something i dunno, but it can be pushed threw the manifold and clears most the roughness outta it.
  11. geez your both lucky, i think it needs some sort of sealer/glue on it not sure what but, i can sit it in there and i can twist it, like its the right size but VERY loose fit
  12. na if that was the case id save up and buy a greddy plenum, so how do i get the pipe for the radiator to stay in? how did you do yours?
  13. Hey all i just bought a greddy copy manifold, starting to regret it already and i havent even put it on the car few things im unsure of, 1. The water outlet from the manifold to the radiator is just a loose peice of round steel not sure whats its made from but not sure how its ment to stay in the manifold, it wouldnt press in. 2. Few of the fittings wont screw in, id have to clean up the screw holes abit. My brother said something about pushing some sort of foam/liquid/goe cant remember exactly but you push it threw the manifold and it makes it smooth and cleans most the small imperfections out of the inside. anyone have any more info on it? i can search as i dunno what its called id be searching for. cheers
  14. i did what GAV mentioned doing and i ran the fuel pumps without starting the motor (cold engine bay) and let them run for 20mins or so, the 044 didnt really heat up at all and the surge tank didnt feel warm either, fuel rail was a tiny bit warm but not overs, its hard to discribe so that is the best i can do. also took most the foam off the pump and just left a little stip around the bracket its alot louder now. next step it to wrap the rail i guess, i also talk it for a drive last night at didnt have any issues but it wasnt the warm last night.
  15. Gav i like the idea of running the pumps with out starting the motor to see weather the fuel heats up. the foam is on the 044 so it dosnt rub on the bracket or the board mainly, not really for noise. Is this the best way to run the wiring and is there anything else i should know? "Run a new wire of decent gauge directly from the positive terminal on the battery (install a fuse at the battery end of the cable). Put a relay in the boot and use the factory pump wiring to switch the relay. Run the new cable to both pumps through the relay. Make sure the negative side of the pumps are wiring is also adequate, connections should not be on painted surfaces." I dont drift or do any track work, mainly race......stright line yeah mines series 1/2. and as JonnoHR31 said they do surge even with half tank.
  16. I dont have much time just t ill be back on tomorrow night to answer some of the questions, just want to add, my car isnt putting out much power at the moment, im unsure of duty cycle all i know are there VLT injectors i think 250-260cc and cars only doing about 200rwkw. like i said not a great deal of power but regaurdless of power the fuel is still heating up. thanks all for your help.
  17. daisu: the standard pump is still run off standard wiring, the 044 is merged into the wires that go to the standard pump, cant remember much more about it, just a relay and merged in. in the pick i think it was the wire on the right.
  18. I agree, im not overly keen about doing the fuel cooler for mainly that reason. I think ill wrap the fuel line and other metal parts as that seems the easiest thing to do, if that dosnt work/improve then ill have to try something else.
  19. quick question, if i was to install a low pressure pump at a pick up, would it have any issues filling the surge tank in a race? 2L surge tank.
  20. So we have come to a time hwen to judge weather its the pumps that are heating the fuel or the heat from the engine bay, if its the pumps causing the heat issue you would want the fuel rail to be open as possible to help let the heat excape. but if its the engine heating the fuel threw the rail and other metal peices you would want to wrap the fuel rail. which leaves us with the question of.....whats causing the heat? id say just with the fuel being hotter due to the weather (summer) its starting off hot befor the cars even thought about starting,. i would like to hope its as easy as wrapping the rail but i think its ganna be more of a ball breaker then that
  21. Can throw in a set oftandard cams, could do with a machine, they have slight surface rust. $200 for the lot
  22. R31Nismoid: I wouldnt like to take it off and take it for a drive because the stock pump wasnt keeping up thats one of the reasons i pump the 044 in. rob82: One Way fuel system?? blind_elk: They may be high pressure standard pump but there shit house. what part of THE STANDARD PUMP WOULDNT KEEP UP didnt you get? discopotato03: Yeah its fairly common in the 31's to surge, i have two mates that have had the same problem with theres and also have had to fit a surge tank. Motors not standard, but its not puttin out a great deal of power either. Id prefur not to run a fuel cooler unless its a last resort. i cant take the surge tank off and pump off and take it for a drive, well i can but i wont be able to go fast. and if i did take it all off and take it for a drive and it was the problem i would still need more fuel to my motor. id also still need a surge tank as i dont like driving around with over half a tank. I Think to start with ill try wraping the fuel rail with something and see if that helps at all.
