well im pretty sure the fuse approach is ok ,could the heat and smoke be the clutch`s slipping in the transfer case,or could it be a gearbox prob?

hi all,had my gts4 dyno tuned yesterday.the tune turned out great but while it was on the dyno smoke started bellowing from the gear shift. lots of it and auto fluid burning type of smell. the shifter(manual) was really hot to touch.have noticed it quite warm normal driveing too. the 4wd fuse was taken out for the run. was recommended to disconnect 4wd altogether,but thats the main reason i went for the gts4. also the wolf v500 was not showing road speed,was told this was possibly due to faulty speed sensor? ive heard conflicting advice from pro tune shops regarding 4wd 32`s on 2wd dyno and how to go about it.. can anyone help with whats going on ? thanks in advance...

ehe, the kind that wont go away till around 5000rpm ,wouldnt be an issue for the 25 though.

hey not sure about boos levels will find out..i havent used these as i got them from a member here for a twin rb20 setup...then i realised what a angry lag beast it would be so im off loading them..you would need to get exhast manifolds as the rb26 ones wont match your head...but it certainly can be done..

hey all,have a couple of std gtr turbos ,dumps,ex manifolds, looking for $400 for the turbs,they are in good nic with small shaft play. not sure what price to put on dumps and maifolds yet.. located in warana. contact me here or email [email protected].

fixed! after checking spark ,pulled no6 inj,cleaned pins/plug,flushed inj,and now its running smooth as. still a bit at a loss as the spark plug was wet with fuel from that cyl,but i`m not complaining . thanks muchly for all those who helped.

hey all,thanks for the replies ,the tuner is a wolf distributor,he had the car running ok,did that in 5 mins and was to come back next day for full tune,which i did,was running fine until i pulled up in his drive and turned off the engine. 5 mins later his offsider setup the gas analyizer then the tuner jumped in with his laptop and told me to start it.now its missing!!,so he says no tune possible,obviously..this was yesterday,last night i changed plugs,checked coils by unplugging to listen for deteriation... no change when cyls 2 ad 6 were unpluged.i repeated this a few times unplugging all clys 1 at a time.so now im thinking maybe 2 ciols..recheck this morning and 2 is now working ..recheck same.swapped coil 1 with coil 6.6 is still down despite the coil from cyl 1 which i know to be ok.so now i`m about to remove cyl 6 coil and spark plug to see if any spark.if yes then i`m going to swap a inj from other fireing cyl to 6 in order to rule out the injector.after that?? loom...ignitor...meh.all the while thinking what a horrible coincidence!

hey all,after fitting gtr injectors and wolf3d v500,my car was crap,as you would expect on a base map, so a quick visit to the tuner yesterday he had it running ok in about 5 mins,ready for full tune today,pull up in his drive and all seems well, they hook up the ex sensor and laptop,fire it up he yells.now the car is missing bad and wont rev,so obviously no tune done,suspect fowled plugs, maybe a coil...after limping home i changed the plugs,no effect,then plugging each coil 1 at a time i noticed no change when no2 and also no 6 coil were unplugged,so im guessing thsese 2 coils are bung? cant believe it! does it sound like im on the right track ? a mechanic at work keeps pointing his finger at the wolf implying that it may be the cause but i find this unlikely? thanks ,Jamie.

thanks will do,going to geoge may on tuesday then to dyno(george does road tunes).noticed closed loop (strives for stoich) is disabled in setup and lamda 1 enabled.as i know i dont have wide band was thinking this could be changed,also i could try rescale of inj as they are now 444cc? just thinking out loud.i dont wanna drive it even to the tuners as is ,sounds like its down 3 out of 6 or something..also by def the map sens is enabled but was going to run afm..will try unplugging afm and hooking up map vac line.

worked it out.changed to stepper motor in control settings.no buzz,started straight away but rough idle and very rich,blowin lots of smoke.can smell the fuel in the the air.

hey,my pump has died and is currently dumping all it fluid on my driveway,have a pump available of a 2wd rb20 for $100 bucks. are they the same 4wd as 2wd ? cheers .Jamie.
