  1. even with a oil cooler? what do you call a mild RB25?? Im hoping for 350rwkw + once the rebuild is done and probably gonna visit 8000rpm now and then. So the N1 pump isnt just a straight fit to an RB25DET?? I didnt relise that. what exactly does the collar do? is it just an adapter of some sort? Thanks cubes
  2. ahh no... it was about a week and 1/2 ago, I will be ordering them first thing tuesday and will let you know how much I pay just in case ive made a mistake.

Thanks Savman and Sydneykid PS; yes i have seen that seach button there before I always wondered what it did :confused: ............ of cause I did a seach but do you know how many theads come up when you type in "N1 oil pump" and 90% of them are irrelevant to what you are actually looking for :kick:
  4. U guys a say my turbo will be the imiting factor in the rebuild now, so what turbo what be a good upgrade to get my 350rwkw+ with out being too laggy?

  6. Sorry guys I didnt mean to be a smart ass I was just saying I can get these a fair bit cheaper. For a Arias Forged Piston Kit - Nissan RB25DET 20thou over I was quoted 1050+GST, then said have 'em for 1100 and this wasnt some doggy dealer but from a reputable company recomend to me by my mechanic

Hi guys, Doing a rebuild on my motor at moment (RB25DET) which includes forgies, rods, head p'n'p, fully balenced bottom end, cams, new intake/exhaust manifolds lots of other trick bits too.... also got an oil cooler too keep things in check, now should I spend anther couple of hundred $$ to upgrade to a N1 oil pump or is the standard one up to the job?? Once the car is finished I will be doing as many track days, drags, hillclimbs etc as I can but is essentially a street car thats driven pretty hard :burnout: I would think the water pump should be find as it is a near new item anyway plus I will have a low temp thermistat and 40mm alloy radiator, or should I upgrade this to N1 item too? What about thoughs electric water pumps anyone ever used one of those?? Cause ive been told N1 pumps are build for constant high rpm use and not much good for street use, i know there isnt as many blades in the N1 pump(6 large instead of 8 smaller)

  10. Hey Nathan, im trying to get hold of a mates old diffs from his r32 which he put a Nismo one in a while ago to see if I see if his old half shafts fit mine. So I hope I can give you a definite answer soon.
  11. Sorry to say burkey but I have had some *edited by Slaz* also, Brad Sheriff would be my sugestion by far, if not him Rob Loopo(i think thats how you spell his name) who now runs Sports Rider is also very good he still does a bit of tunning.
  12. All machining work (head pnp, block boring, balancing etc) I had done on the mainland. The head was done by JHH Engineering in Queensland, bottom end was done by Crankshaft Rebuilders in Melbourne. I do as much as I can myself to keep the cost down like pullying the motor out of the car, stripping it down etc. As for cost, all up I have no idea and I done think I want to know :headspin: . Just for the machining work with the head and bottom end probably....... around $2500 give or take a bit. I dont know what type of spings they are but im pretty sure they no brand like tomei or anything, just uprated ones, JHH were I got the head done organised them about $240 I think

  14. thanks steve, I think GTR diffs are different again though. What I guess I really need to know is will the diff center fit into an R32 GTS using the R32 half shafts?
  15. The car had good responce before, had full boost before 4000rpm, and thats one thing I did like about that turbo setup. I would like to get around the 500hp at the engine, so whats that... about 385kw.... so around 330rwkw??? Do you think my current turbo could stretch that far? I saw a dyno chart of a similar setup but using a 2835PRO S, that got 270rwkw i thinks, and the a/f ratio looked pretty fat so it could of got more I would think. So surely I would get more that 30 extra kw from my bigger 3037?? Might have to just wait and see Thanks for your input guys :thankyou:
  16. Hi guys, I have an aftermarket diff and when I bought it I was told it was to fit an R33 GTS, BUT it didnt. The half stafts that came with it they are a six bolt pattern(3 tabs with 2 bolt holes on each) which looks near identical to my mates S13, which lead my to belive it was for an S13. I have been told that S13, S14, R32 diffs are all interchangeable, BUT I counted the splines on the half shafts I have, which was 29 BUT ive been told R32's have 30 spline shafts :looney: So does anybody know how I can fine out what it accually is for ??   18. Thats what I wanted to know, I have read other reports of these turbos flowing 340kw+ but they where the external gated type. Would that make any difference? Can you change the exhaust housing to an external setup without too much hassel or cost (as im starting to run out of cash :headspin: )? Thanks

Hi Guys, I am rebuilding my RB25 at the moment, usual stuff such as forged pistons, gtr rods etc.. anyway my question is before the rebuild I had 270rwkw and mods were 044 fuel pump 650cc Sard injectors BIG fmic HKS 3037pro s Haltech E11 3" exhaust, no cat K&N Filter SpiltFire Coils Tomei Exh cam gear and totally stock head and block running 14pis Now with the enigine being rebuild I have the following done full head Port 'n' Polish (with stiffer valve springs) port matched inlet and exhaust manifold new tubular manifold HKS 256/264 in/exh cams 4" exhaust and would like to run about 20psi any ideas what I sort of power I could expect??
