  1. getting a little off topic.. we need a replacement for BWCP... that involves a place that caters for all.. i mean, i love the track and im all for going hard with performance cars - if its car for that reason (even if its not). I know where the track is, but it aint a good place to meet on regular basis... i really enjoyed meeting at BWCP - cus it was close to places to go out.. few chicks are about and usually good company... (plus laughing at douche bags who do up lancers and excels -- which was fun in itself for a friday night..). im not a coffee fan, but would like to see worked cars out on a regular basis to just show that anti hooning laws have not kept us down...
  2. man, would be sweet if someone who lives in brisbane - with a big acerage could donate his front driveway for 100+ cars once a week to tearup his front lawn and offer us beers.... any taker?
  3. skyline 1988 gts-x RB25DET NEO fmic air filter 3" exhaust microtech increased boost just over 200rwkw tho i have a print out from APC for 243.2 rwkw - which i think they have fudged cuz i dont thinkg its possible with stock turbo and injectors... car has tein custom coils on 16" x 8.5 watanabe rims -- i love her so much
  4. oh yea.. i only bought fuel pump and regulator no other parts from memory.. (well thats all i paid for)
  5. i got a bosch fuel pump but dont remember what rating tho.. im pretty sure it was more to do with my fuel pressure regulator - which was found to be a non-turbo item that was installed by a idiot mechanic.. mind you, it was driving fine for few weeks until suddenly felt weird on boost...
  6. oops -- well, i guess they did give it back in one piece.. lol and it is part my fault for not doing my homework.. but who has the time damn it?!?! btw this site rocks! awesome responses - skylines ftw woot!
  7. really up to your budget id say... pay more and get hks rs - ive seen rb25s pull 310rwkw with aggressive cams and stock internals - i think it was stock manifold also! apparently hell responsive.. mind you, i dont know much about the high flow turbo - but with those prices you cant go wrong... plus, i dont know about you but id say 260rwkw is pretty sweet for street trim.. well thats my 2cents
  8. all same place from APC brisbane - underwood... i havent bought a high flow turbo so - if it is high flowed without my knowledge - that would be sweet! but i highly doubt it - i bought the front cut stock off - r34 gtt automatic 4 door
  9. I dont know if this helps but i had a similar prob with mine - if i accelerate the power seemed to plateau - and when hard on the pedal, it would shudder on boost... what it was for me was a combination of fuel regulator and fuel pump - both replaced which fixed it for me... hope it helps
  10. yea.. so i called them - they say its running boost 12.5-13psi... not cool im guessin jus posting the dyno print today - i cant see boost level on it..
  11. well.. they did also fix a spring in the BOV. the labour was $720 all up excluding the parts.. i just hope they did tune it and didnt just turn up the boost or something.. im just not a fan of being lied to - if they didnt hype up the dyno results i would have been cool with it.. lesson learned for next time i guess..
  12. yea, cheers limpus - boost gauge is my next thing-to-get... and youre probably right about the ride.. maybe i need to drive it a bit more - to appreciate the tune.. ill post a scan of the dyno print out tomorrow.. tho i gotta say ive got a growing suspicion that they have taken me for the biggest ride ever.. to fix a leak from a grub screw on the oil sandwich plate.. pre-dyno inspection - spark plug clean - replaced fuel hose from pressure regulator and replaced efi hose clamps. Installed bleed tee, adjusted air fuel ratio. adjusted boost setting and timing maps. they charged about $950.. Ive only ever once had a tune in the past - it cost me $250-300.. not that i mind spending the money but its the principle - why would they fudge the results of the tune... i mean, what else did they lie about - or i could be getting ahead of myself i guess..
  13. yea, im pretty sure its not high flowed - plus i just gave it a proper strap and its not feeling near the pull my friend gets in his 254rwkw r32... so.. i guess ive been had.. damn you APC!! thanks for the input guys! i guess ill question them about it tomorrow when i ask about the boost level...
  14. yea, i know... its just getting myself setup for bigger brighter things, but i still need this turbo to hold up a little while at least.. well i shall call them tomorrow and find out the boost level.. if its 12 psi, is it impossible to be 242kws?
  15. hey guys, thought id run it pass the general consensus - will i blow my turbs? i have rb25det neo mods i have: big frontmount big plenum bigger fuel pump (forget what hp) microtech ecu 3" exhaust (no cat or rez) air filter bleed tee stock: internals - turbo - injectors - coilpack had a dyno run @ APC brisbane - and made 243rwkw on vpower... but no idea what psi im running atm... at stock 7-8psi was 200rwkw when i picked up the car - the dude at the front desk did not know cuz the guy who tuned it wasnt there at the time. he did however tell me that my boost was taken to the highest limit and reduced somewhat to keep it "safe"... (i dont have a boost gauge and i will call them tomorrow..) But i was wondering if anyone else has a setup similar to mine; what boost level you guys think id be running... but most importantly; you guys think its safe at this power level for my turbo... cheers for your input yall!
