  1. Have a look at this link mate. I found it very useful when setting mine up http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61114
  2. Here are the pictures of the turbo we are trying to diagnose plus one for comparison This one is what a hybrid looks like However, the one big problem we have is that the guy who bought it from me has tried the magnet test and it doesnt stick to the blades or the nut at the back, it sticks to the exhaust housing but not the compressor housing Now I am confused, he is confused...HELP
  3. Hi guys I need two pictures, one of a standard spec 1 R33 turbo from both inlet and exhaust side and the same for the spec 2 turbo. Need this asap guys and cant find any anywhere!
  4. Sounds just like mine mate. What was your boost and power?
  5. Here is the dyno graph. This one shows at the wheels power and boost pressure. You can see the HKS spools up pretty quick and on the road it feels better than the standard turbo! Its strange as its hitting full power boost has dropped down to about 1.15. Wonder if it help 1.3 all the way what kind of power it would be then.
  6. PMSL. When I went from standard management up to the power fc it made a huge difference to the feel of the engine, way more responsive and faster at a lower boost pressure. I would recommend getting one of these as they are great bits of kit. Then get a HKS turbo for even more grin factor!
  7. My HKS GT3037 makes a sweet high pitch whistle just like a jet engine starting up. The old hybrid was more of a lower whoosh noise. I will try and video it next time its on the RR from the front to see if I can catch the noise.
  8. Dont know whether you want to know any thing else about my turbo as its pretty close to the GT2835 just a little bit bigger. It feels insanly quick at 1.2 bar and havent really driven it round much at that setting as its a bit slippery so Ive been using just 0.6 of a bar quite a bit. It hits this really early around 3,000 and still gives just as much pull as the hybrid did at 1bar. 1.2 bar on this turbo is up by 3700 and really really pulls all the way to 6k, I havent gone any higher yet as I could only do a 4th gear run! I also love the whistle is makes, sounds like a jet engine spooling up to 1.2 bar! Would love to try it @ 1.5bar one day!

  11. I dont know mate the tuners just said it wasnt great and thats as high as they could go on that one. There should be a pic of it in one of my others posts.
  12. Trouble is I am still using the actuator that came with the kit. This was only a 7psi one so when we tried to go over 1.2bar the boost became unstable and spiked quite a bit, it also couldnt hold the boost at high rpm. We did see over 450bhp at the fly though. When the better actuator goes on i am sure we could raise the boost to say 1.3 - 1.4 and keep it stable meaning 450bhp + Still havent tried it out on the road yet as its been too wet!
  13. Thats not a problem and my car used to suffer with boost creep, but not anymore! good ole HKS
  14. You are a winner!! :sorcerer: Now what prize do you want lol?
  15. Hi Guys. Well I got the car back this afternoon and although I havent really had a chance to put my foot down I have the dyno graphs to post. The car feels strong now, ive only been using 0.5 bar of boost but its pulls like it used to on 1bar! And I havent stalled it yet with the new clutch! bunny hopped though! lol The first two are at the high boost setting which is around 1.25 bar. These next two are the low boost setting, just under 0.8bar Cant wait to get her out on a dry road and see what she now feels like!!
