  1. Well got my car tuned yesterday and we had run into a problem with not getting enough fuel. using a Altronic SM4 ECU. we were hitting 95% on the injectors (nismo 555cc) around the 260rwkw, mark also have a Sard fuel pump in the car.

Anyway my mechanic said it is the Sard Fuel reg i have on the car was the problem. As he has seen this problem before on a WRX with a sard reg on it.

He over came the problem with a bosch fuel reg for a VL commodore on the WRX, and said the sard one wouldn't keep up or something along those lines.

so will be trying the standard one back on the car and see if that fixes the problem or do the bosch fuel reg upgrade....around $60-$80 mark.

any info on this problem would be great...........and calling out to Sydneykid for a answer! :spank:

well im making more than that and i have a sard reg so i dont see that being the problem ...whats the fuel pump rated at ...?..your injectors are more than enough..i would check fuel pressure also ... and what are the a/f's at ..?

    cheers

  2. LOL... You crack me up. We aren't bypassing them...I hadn't looked closely at all at the unit till a 2 days ago. The casting will be the same at the base. Wow...for a bunch of guys who have an engine that forces them to route pipe all over their engine bay in an unattractive manner you sure are skeptical. Or you can keep on cutting up manifolds and welding them together...till you run out of manifolds.

    Thanks for your help anyway.

    R

u have no idea buddy goodluck with it ...oh and here's another thing there are throttle bodies already on the market so untill u can actually prove anything i suggest u do a lot more research. here's your competition so the product has to be up to standard...

    1. GREDDY

    2. PLAZAMAN

    3. HYPERTUNE

    4. MICKSMETAL CRAFT

    5. JUN

there's other brands also but cant think of the names so far...but the ones ive mentioned are pretty much the leaders in plemun's....sorry if ive missed anyone...

also bass junky there is no point havin it adapt to the standard traction control unit as it is more of a hinderence, when u reach higher power levels the traction control is no good due to flow rectriction...tried and tested on r34 with neo engine i meant..

    cheers

  3. Incorrect...

Jesus, am I the only one with these injectors? Hasn't anyone else bought a set...

hahaha relax satanic.. yes u are right the sard injectors are a straight drop in for the r34 i opted for the 800's ... i needed them but hey about idle control its fine just needed some fine tuning thats all ..and yes your right it also comes down to tuner as well and your right about the single pintle as well ..hahaha

YOUR JUST RIGHT ALL THE TIME SATANIC...ahahahaha j/k

    cheers

  4. wel there is a whole other thread about the pfc's being discontinued but anyay, what ecu you use really depends on your tuner. if your tuner recommends wolf then use wolf. if they use microtech use microtech. this applies even if the pfc isn't being discontinued.

yeah i know i read it and then NO ONE has PROOF!..bbwwahahha what a waste of a thread!

  5. Here's the scoop.

We're about to make proper intakes (NOT GREDDY KNOCKOFFS with super ass castings).

The bottom of the intakes flange has a lot of channels running through it and a sensors/valves/hosesetc attaching to it. Do we need these? Do you all run these, or is there a way to bypass them?

These intakes will feature sheet aluminum plenums, bell mouths and tapered runners. They will also come with the provisions for some VERY large throttle bodies (IE, Q45, mustang etc).

help me help all of us.

    Thanks

OMG!...yeah your making proper intakes and yet u dont know wether u need all those sensors or valves or hoses ...seriously if u know what your getting yourself into you would have some idea of what your doing...

and then u want cater for this market and your asking us is there a way to bypass them ...geez here's a name u should use " SAU FORUM INTAKES". made by you .

  6. now that the power fc is gone (or going) what ecu's do people on this forum recommend?? mind you its for a rb25det

i have been in one running a microtech and it seems to do the trick, but any other suggestions wold be good.

    cheers

UNLESS I SEE A PRESS RELEASE OR SOMETHING WRITTEN ON THERE WEBSITE ABOUT IT...THIS IS BULLSHIT ABOUT POWER FC'S

THE RUMOR HAS BEEN AROUND FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW AND I STILL SEE PLENTY OF POWER FC'S AROUND.

    cheers

  7. They don't bolt up to the head. Completely different.

I have heard of an R33 one fitting with some new holes drilled into the head and some on the plenum but haven't seen it.

You could get a custom one for the top half only made up fairly easily.

There has been talk of a couple being available soon but soon just keeps stretching out into infinity.

OK now the greddy r33 plenum does fit the r34.. lets put that to bed now i have one on my car and no problems..

  8. Its not so much the power levels but boost run and rpm used.

I recently had a dude pm me stating his r33 experienced valve float on its std springs (unsure if he ran cams and what rpm) with anything over 20psi.

ill just edit the first post i wrote....8-9000rpm and boost is 1.6 drops off to 1.5bar..no probs..

  9. Is it true that you shoud upgrade the springs when installing bigger cams? Due to higher lift therefore more stress on them? What about valve bounch or float? Any one suffered from this and at what power levels?

over 300rwkw --- no problems and u havent looked hard enough tomei offer springs..

    Cheers

  10. hahhaa adam I wish I could put in cams.....but the budget has blown past 6k on parts alone even without touching the head...

Im just hoping to run some decent boost...no more than 15psi and get some decent power for now until I can open up the engine and go all out on it...

The higher compression myth was worrying me a little bit..thanks for clearing that up !

    hey shonen,

so what turbo are u getting...?

ohh and im running 8.9:1 comp ratio and no problems but bloody responsvie..

    cheers

  11. i do so that i can mount my coils on the side becouse thay are on the firw/wall and are just f**king with every thing nd i will gt less lag and some more bhp

the greddy one fits but u lose tps but im not sure if u have it wired up in the r33 thats bang for buck other options,

    hypertune

    plazaman

    mick's metalcraft

    cheers!

  12. I think for 200rwkw should be around 1bar..I use a pfc as well, probably because you have your fuel as 100ron~~

with turbo back exhaust + air pod + front mount i/c + power fc u should be getting over 200rwkw and with coils and boost at 11psi u should get over 210..

1bar to get 200rwkw thats not right at all.

    cheers

  13. I'd be asking for a refund on the tune... its pretty average mate.

Certainly needs a bit of work.

The power curve should be smooth, and this would reflect smooth power delivery... you graph is all over the place.

And back it off to 12psi, otherwise you risk it dying.

Some do, some dont... so its your own gamble

i agree with what r31nismoid said.

OMG WE ACTUALLY AGREE...yay now im going to the pub to get trashed....

    cheers.
