  1. You will get a ~$50 fine for no Rego sticker showing and also whatever defects the cop wants to dish out. The sticker does not determine your rego being registered or not; its all in the computer system, they just run your plates to see if it is registered or not. Sticker is aesthetic.
  2. just a word of note: Rotary engines are not really unreliable. A Stock 13BREW block is quite strong! You hear rotaries go pop because of: 1. unknown history (as are all s8 imports now) 2. owners who have no clue how to properly maintain the car as for skylines, ive never been a fan of the car.. even the 34gtr.. it looked too much like a box but i appreciate and respect the rb26
  3. it is a known fact that all FD drivers in a F1 car would beat MS a wise man told me once upon a time
  4. skylines > fd rx7 sorry, its the truth andymac, ive never heard of ausrotary, im indian.. so i dont know about this tall asian guy ur talking about ppl have told me about him b4 tho, they say his car is a beast
  5. that must be someone else i drive a stock s1 r33 gts-t id love a fd tho i hear they are expensive to maintain
  6. rotaries never get tailgated for long the gas and fumes from the exhaust is enuf to keep them away i notice on cold mornings when my exhaust emissions must be looking quite unhealthy.. cars keep a fair distance back and the fact we blow flames easier than most
  7. lol mate... reason why you premix is that the OMP doesnt inject enough oil needed at WOT.. and that should your OMP fail, especially electric ones you will be running ur seals dry if u drive ur car like a grandma.. then most probably no u wouldnt need it. yes, oil wil drop ur octane levels.. but we are talking about few hundred mL's in a tank of 70L some run 1:200.. some run 1:100.. for PTS seals... check out this page http://www.performancetestedseals.com/recommendations.html "It is recommended that you use a minimum of 1% of oil additive to suit fuel being used. ie. methanol use castor based oil "
  8. dont bother when my fd was stolen.. i demanded them check the cameras at the exits.. those cameras arent there to check cars but for help points and are ONLY ever activated when some1 presses the button. then i spoke to head of security at E-Spot and questioned him why the security was so f**ked and even demanded that they install cctv cameras in all the carparks. i was told it is financially unviable as u would need 2-3 cameras on each level and even just the car park behind the libray would need more than 20 cameras. then u need them all to record and have ppl monitor it. the uni is not prepared to spend the money on this. i myself am a unsw staff member (was a studnet there b4 too) and pay for a staff permit.. it is not secure parking that we are getting. its a service that unsw does not take any responsibilities for. i asked to speak to somebody higher up, was told to write a letter to head of Facilities or the Chancellor of the uni and he said that nothing will probably be done anyway even after that... unsw now is only wanting to give out parking tickets, the security there do not give a flying f**k if ur car gets stolen.. they just want money from parking tickets. i now drive my dad's car to work and one day had to work til 5:30, i purchased a ticket $6 or so to park til 5:11. i rocked up at 5:35 to see the security guy writing out a $79 fine for overparking. moral of the story.. unsw doesnt care if u get ur car stolen. maybe its the security there who walks up and down checking out where nice cars are and calling in their "mates" to steal the cars. i dont know but hell.. if u drive an import.. and go to unsw... catch a bus and train instead oh.. and if u still want to do something, u can contact me on 0413 525 818 but im telling u, ive tried doing wat u want to do and i know they dont care
  9. jump onto fdowners.com all teh fd guys have moved on from ausrotary to fdowners.com
  10. lol.. mate... its up to u wat u do. ur seals are just going to wear out without premixing maybe speak to the makers of PTS seals.. ask them why you need to premix
  11. dude dont take it word for word.. someone could rebuild for 3k.. some could do it for 10k.. depends wat else u do, porting, studkits, which seals, how may housings need replace, how many rotors need replace. i could have my block rebuilt for 3k if it was just replacing seals.. and my housings etc were fine. its just like comparing a 2500 paintjob with 10k job.. exactly the same shit.. just different work and different quality seals will depend on which type again.. i said MOST PROBABLY.. i use PTS seals and its a must to run premix... and premix has nothing to do with octane levels.. its just lubrication for ur seals. lol!! read it again.. premix - 2 stroke oil... not octane booster man.. so read more carefully b4 u try take some1 apart thanks
  12. all the stories uve read are of a functioning fd... or rotary.. why not ask them the sob stories too? every rotor.. and i mean every rotor has sob stories
  13. i own a series 8 rx7 the car sure looks good, drives good.. when it drives wat most ppl dont figure out b4 they buy one: the reliability mods which MUST go on the car straight up mazda just didnt build a mazda to last and used shit plastic crap in it plastic AST (breather tank) will need to be switched to an aluminium one (if it leaks.. can kiss ur motor goodbye) radiator is totally inadequate in stock form exhaust is extremely restricitive, compliance will switch ur cat to one which is even worse than stock cat solenoids tend to fail easily(break or crack in heat).. the twin turbo system is extremely complicated ud need to do a compression test on ur motor b4 u buy it, anything less than above average/excellent.. ur motor wouldnt last too long .budget $5000 just for a rebuild minimum and about $1500 for upgraded apex seals. to run any mods.. ud need an aftermarket ecu, PFC's are used quite alot.. dont use anything else.. they are junk..cept maybe motec. microteck, haltech, wolf watever are all junk replacing IC is a fair job.. front mounts dont really work well on FD's.. they just look good. the best bet is a upgraded SMIC or a vmount..vmount will require u to get a vented bonnet maintaning a fd is ALOT of $$$ my clutch line popped all of a sudden one time going across the harbor bridge.. my motor gave way after 1 month of ownership security - fd's are getting stolen alot now.. make sure you have the best of alarms and full comp INSURANCE.. i learnt the hard way ive owned my fd for 1 year exactly now.. its been off the road for 7months if ur worried about fuel.. dont buy a fd a stock fd would typically get u around 400km/450 max if u dont step on it per tank of 76L 98 octane.. if u are running aftermarket seals. ud most probably neeed to run pre-mix which is $35 for 1L...
  14. hullo, would you be interested in swap for FD Series 8 Rx7 seats? They are in immaculate cond too, no ciggie burns, no marks, no holes, no dirt!! Alan
