  2. i guess for me a car that comes with full service history and origian factory documents just has something about it esepecially when its a 32gtr. The 4.5b at auction has all of that.. ill be bidding on it tomorrow. I hear alot about having to spend big money (the cost of the car all over again) but i fail to see why or how it will be that much more then any other car? I understand its getting on in age but if its well looked after, fairly stock and a genuine low k example thats had full service history up to date which this one is then why should i expect to have to spend so much? The car will be a daily but i dont do many k's.
  3. im in no rush to buy so i guess importing could be an option..a safer one at that. Im planning to do the same as you andreas apart from some coilovers and wheels at some point but apart from that i just want to maintain it and keep it as close to standard as possible so i want the best i can buy within my budget.. Ive since been in contact with a broker who showed me a 4.5b 94 gtr going to auction this week, basically the same as the one i posted in this thread so ill keep you posted.
  4. great info there Andreas.. idealy id like to buy a car from someone whos owned it for quite a few years so they can give me abit of history on the car but yeah this one just looked too good not to show an interest in. I tried comparing the bay shot with others to see if the plenum had been resprayed but i couldnt really tell? Why do you say it has? is it too good? Also do you guys know if there is some sort of register you can see which cars where imported to AUS and when? i think ive seen someone post it up before in the Vspec thread..

  6. hey guys, sorry if this is an innaproptiate thread but i need some advice as im genreally to nieve and trusting in these situations, especially when i really like the car. This is the car in question; Its a 93 GTR, recently imported with 76,xxx KMS and standard apart from cat back and lowered springs. I rang the dealership as i cant view it yet due to the fact that im in Vic and theyre in Syd. First thing i asked was for the import papers to which he replied he didnt have any as it was imported from a private buyer in japan. I instantly saw that as a red flag and said i wasnt interested and hung up. He rang back 2minutes later stating that he had some registration papers showing the car was registered in 08 with 69,000km's and in 2011 had only 71,000 km's so just looks to be a car that was barely driven which leads me to believe the current k's could be legit. Hes taking more photos of the underbody and under the boot carpets for me and providing vin so i can do my own checks. He also sounded happy for me to have comp tests and and any outside testing. TBH, the car does look like a low K example but yeah who knows Just wanting to hear what you guys think and if youve had any similar experiences. No import papers is def throwing me off at this stage.
  7. Great replys guys.. i understand what youre saying Bob.. id rather fork out abit more upfront and have a car that i am happy with and wont have to spend too much money on to rectify issues. Im very fussy and the smallest things bug me haha. Im also with you on silver bob haha but white is my second colour for the GTR. Your car is beautiful btw. A 32gtr is a car ive always wanted but ive stayed away from due to the bad press they get about huge maintenence bills and all being thrashed, i just sold my s15 and am currently deciding between a 32 or an EVO9. My heart wants a 32 but my head keeps saying go with the newer evo9. The car will be a daily which leads me to the evo but im still undecided. Mike T , did you request that the car go through a seperate roadworthy inspection to the dealer as im worried dealers will pass anything to make their sale easier and cheaper? Id most likely get a third party inspection done anyway through state roads or a workshop.

  11. 99 S15 Spec R JDM Ive recently made the decision to sell my s15. Ive owned the car for the last year and had no issues with it. Only reason i'm selling is because i'm finally in a position to upgrade to a car i've always wanted.. 34gtr I had the car checked over by State roads inspections and received a comprehensive report attesting the great condition of the car which i'm happy to show any perspective buyer. The car originally had an aftermarket front bar on it that i wasn't a fan of and also had a ducktail spoiler on it that i changed for the aero wing which required the front and rear to be resprayed. Due to the pearl white being so hard to match up and seeing as i was getting a quater of the car resprayed anyway i decided that i might aswell get the whole car resprayed and i went for Mazda paint 34k which is similar but a little brighter then the standard pearl white. I got it done at DT Panels and they did a fantastic job.   13. Desmond Regamaster Evo 17x9 +18 Bit of an expression of interest. You all know how rare Evo's are in these sizes but getting abit bored of them on my s15 so looking to either sell or swap them for another set of wheels. I've had the full set professionally refurbished by wheel tech a few months ago. They were fully stripped back and repainted so they're in immaculate condition.   15. 05 BF XR6 turbo 111,000 kilometres 6 speed manual Silver Black and red interior which is in very good condition Xr6 turbo edit done at dyno motive , 253 rwkw with dyno graph. Rims have been replaced back to standard bf xr6 17" rims in perfect condition with new Tyres.   17. well thats it .. police are the least of my worries! it is a risk .. if i found an s15 that i liked i'd snap it up straite away but from what ive heard, it'l most likely take months and so many people are after the same thing!
  18. im a very impatient person .. but i see what your saying, i'd like to do that but i cant see myself wasting money on a car for a year then selling. If i was going to do that i would have kept the commodore for an extra year. I think ill be pretty right driving something illegal for a year unless i stack it. Geelong cops are pretty good/scarse!
  19. Hey guys .. I sold my vx commodore 2 or so months ago and im yet to find/decide on what i want to buy! Basically i know i want a manual turbo preferably rear wheel drive but my problem is im still on my P's (VIC) for another year so ive decided that an s15 ADM is the car for me! ive got 30k to play with altho im having alot of trouble finding a low k, black, ADM, manual, mostly stock s15! My second car of choice is a r32 GTR which ive already gone to see (94 VspecII). THe car was in good nick and drove well altho im abit weary of the K's (seem woundback) its got 110,000 on the clock but the trip meter had the same hundreth reading. EG K's 110416 TRIP 416 . and ive been made aware that when the k's are wound back, the trip resets so looks abit dodgy, not to mention the seller was quick to reset the trip when questioned. Anyways.. just wanting to know how the 32GTR would be as a daily driver and if they are that high maintence as people say! Im willing to risk it on my P's for a year, cops in Geelong arent so bad! Sorry for the large topic which really makes no sense , im just frustrated as ive got the cash ready to go but just cant find/decide on a car.. just would like to hear from people who have been in my position! ive always wanted a 32gtr but dont think its the smartest decision! jase

  21. well after reading some previous posts ive worked out that it is a true V-spec .. the .17 after GTR means V-spec and the '8' in the vin refers to the BBS rims on the vspec II .. thanks guys =)
