the car itself had a built RB30 bottom with the RB26 top and it was worked so he wanted to keep that engine and just put a RB20DET back in there

True thanks for that man. i went to kyp today they said for a half cut with a rb25det, gear box, and tail shaft and so on will come to $2000.00-$2500.00. i was thinking wether to do that or what would you guys reckon if i re built the RB20DET with aftermarket internals as it would probably come around the same price.. any way let us know what you guys think.. Wether i should ( once this engine dies) go and do the rb25det conversion or re build the rb20det? thanks every one niran

hey mate i don’t have any pic's just yet but i had the same problem that my sub box i had from my old car is just to big for the skyline boot.. I’m in the process of designing and making a custom boot with the fake floor and amps in the floor also. I’m going to use to tyre well and lift it up from there. il give you some info as soon as i get started should be this weekend.. have a good one niran

hey everyone i have a Nissan skyline R32 GTS-t 1992 , it has 80 k on the body but the engine was changed by the guy i bought the car from. i did a compression test today as i was just changing the radiator hosing. these are the scores i received Cylinder 1-125 2-135 3-125 4-126 5-126 6-139 i wasn’t sure what the rb20det should be getting however , i was thinking some where about 160, would someone be able to let me know what i should be receiving? also how bad are my scores? if scores are bad, is it worth putting a rb25det? Instead of (if expensive) fixing the rb20det. Thanks any help appreciated niran

hey man, have you tried connecting a manual switch to the amp instead of running the singal through the remote wire just run a manual switch that can be turned on manualy by yourself.. and see if that works. niran

hey man have you tried just running the 6 by 9's by itself and see if it cuts out.. or just the splits by it self.

hey mate , with the amp if you just going to be running the sub with the amp then get a mono-block amp. You can buy any amp as long as is it close to 400 rms . 800w doesn’t mean much always go by RMS when buying a amp, therefore RMS is true power (route mean squared).. Try not to get anything over 400 RMS as the amp because if you tune it wrong you have a higher chance of burning out the sub. Anything close to 400 RMS would work nice.. so any amp in the 350RMS - 400 RMS output will do.. If you need some more help just pm Have a good one niran

Hey man. ok first of all i have a r32 , which you was looking for to fit the unit in. second i agree there are Some deck's on eBay that are shit. but at the same time as everything goes do your research and you can find something that is decent and will work. ok i came to this decision. i have a double din dvd/tv/mp3/vcd/usb 7 inch touch screen head unit. if you are interested i will get some photos for you and send them to you so that you can see what it looks like.. More important, if your buying from eBay look for a brand called eonon, and also read the sellers feedback, its 98% or so. i bought the manual open one, instead of the electronic face that is adjustable, this was because some people stated that if you have hard bass constantly it can throw out the mechanism gear causing it to get jammed. However, i bought the manual face but my friend with a 99 WRX bought the electronic face. Both decks are going fine and none of them have still once arrived with a problem yet. i have had mine for about 6 months now and my mate for about 5 months. i installed both the decks myself. and they are straight forward like every other deck. The deck also can have reversing cameras connected to it and more screens. But that’s your preference. Hope this helps and if you would like some photos just pm me and I’ll be glad to help.. hey mate. what is your amp connected to now as? in the trigger wire or the remote wire which ever you want to call it. also you said that the deck had the antenna wire connected to nothing.. what the antenna wire is , is just for the cars for electronic antenna so that is sends the signal for it to come up when the radio comes on.. if you don’t have a electric antenna what you can do is connect the antenna wire to the trigger connection on the amp. and it should work. p.s just in case make that 100% sure with an audio installer but that’s how i did it to my amp and it works. niran
