  2. Thanks for that GTST, I think i might save some money and not do the FMIC until i eventually do upgrade the turbo. Im brand new to turbo cars so all of your opinions and info are much appreciated!

  4. Hi guys, first of all great entertaining thread! :laughing-smiley-014: I dont mean to butt in on this topic, but ive been thinkin bout upgrading to a FMIC on my 34. From everything ive read on this forum from most people its really only worth doing if im looking at upgrading my turbo....which im not doing anytime soon... I only plan on running 10psi and have just added a 3" turbo back exhaust so is a FMIC really worth the money? Once again sorry for butting in on the thread
  5. I dont have a return style cooler but is there no way or just modifying a 'donut' pipe so that the piping can be joined to the cooler? BTW - If I run the boost controller at around 10psi before fitting the FMIC am i likely to run into any problems?
  6. 500 was for the piping alone as I already have the intercooler... Im only planning on running around 10psi so im thinking the single solenoid boost controller will do the job no probs. Thanks for the help guys!

  8. Ok guys I have a couple of quick questions.....sorry if they have been posted before, I have searched for info but can't find what im looking for! Firstly....I am looking for intercooler piping for a FM that uses the factory inlet/outlet. Ive read that blitz kits use those but am wondering where the best place to get a blitz kit is. (ive been quoted around $500 and was wondering if this seems right) I should mention i already have a cooler and only want the piping. Second is in regards to an electronic boost controller. I have been looking at a couple of blitz ones and the difference between the 2 is that the cheaper one uses a single solenoid design and the more expensive uses dual.... Just wondering what kind of performance differences there are... Thanks for your help!!
  9. Ive cleaned my AFM and refit the original air filter, light is gone and seems to be fine now! what a waste of money on the K&N!
  10. OK it's been about 250km's since the engine light has come on and now it is on and staying there.... the sensor in the exhaust looks to bi fitted ok and the wiring is connected and undamaged. The only other mod i have done so far is a K&N panel filter. I was wondering if maybe the oil in the filter might be messing with the AFM? any thoughts? Thanks for your help!
  11. Well this is certainly one of the most entertaining threads ive read recently! Mafia is spot on tho, an after market FPR is total waste of time for your setup. I laugh hearing bout how someone has put in a new reg in and bumped up the pressure. goes heaps harder now. hahaha
  12. I just recently had a full 3" exhaust system fitted to my r34 (turbo back) and since then the engine light has come on twice. It only stays on for approx a minute or so then goes out again. Maybe just coincidence but it happened after approx 150km of driving after the exhaust was done and the second time was approx 150km after the first time.... only thing i can think of is maybe the O2 sensor or something? Has anyone experienced anything like this before??? Btw, Im new to the forum. Its great! have found heaps of useful info on here already!
  13. Hi guys im new to this forum, ive been having a look through old posts but only been able to find thread's for 33's. Just wondering where anyone has mounted a boost guage into a 34, I dont really want to go cutting holes in anything tho.... cheers!
