  1. i also had a problem on my R33, found a bad PCV valve on my charcoal canister it was bleeding air there and doing exactly what your describing

I have an RB25DET trying to set timing after being in the shop to get new parts put on a mate set the timing and it ran great pulled hard and jus drove great after getting the timing checked at the shop they said it was on 25 degrees and they pulled it back to about 17 degrees drove like a bucket since first initial bit of revs pulls normal then just seems to die off n not pull hard i checked my timing today and advanced it to 25 degrees again once the car warmed up i checked it again and it read bout 16 degrees took it for a drive and it pulls good all through the rev range now it says on the bonnet 15 degrees at 650RPM, but by my tacho seemed to be reading bout 750-800RPM i also unpluged my TPS and made no difference i have, - 3 1/5 inch exhaust - iridium plugs and splitfire coils NEW - front mount running 11-13psi with stock turbo any ideas what could be happening? is it dangerous to drive like this?

  4. i got a front mount intercooler Boost Controller 3 1/2 inch exhaust turbo back Custom H/D Clutch when i got my exhaust put on a mate did my timing and he advanced it heaps n i was running 8psi, when i wound my boost up to 14psi it ran really quick but i got the timing done properly and they bought the timing back to about 17 degrees and it just seems to have a huge flat spot between 4000 and 6000 revs?? does anyone know any good figures for boost and timing? or know wat could be going on?
  5. not sure wat oil, i put synthetic oil that was recommended from autobarn they looked up my car in a book?
  6. my R33 taps/ rattles a little wen i first start in and after1-2mins it goes away?? anyone have any ideas?
  7. found the problem, the solder joins inside my AFM were stuffed they cracked off easy as, i just re-soldered them n everything seems to be fine now
  8. i have a K&N panel filter but its not very oily its dryish

I clean my airflow sensor with electra-clean then drive for awhile and when it starts to play up again i look at my airflow meter and its all dirty again, i took my main intake pipe going onto the throttle body off and it has layer of oilystuff in it?? Can it be blowing back from the engine?? A mate said an oil catch can might solve the problem drove 200km on friday n it played up heaps after getting under it n drove home today kept outa boost as much as i could n it hardly played up at all
